Half-Elf Racial Traits
*+2 to One Ability Score: Half-elf characters get a +2 bonus to one ability score of their choice at creation to represent their varied nature. Chose to apply the bonus to Strength.
*Medium: Half-elves are Medium creatures and have no bonuses or penalties due to their size.
*Normal Speed: Half-elves have a base speed of 30 feet.
*Low-Light Vision: Half-elves can see twice as far as humans in conditions of dim light.
*Adaptability: Half-elves receive Skill Focus as a bonus feat at 1st level. Chose Skill Focus (Perception).
*Elf Blood: Half-elves count as both elves and humans for any effect related to race.
*Elven Immunities: Half-elves are immune to magic sleep effects and get a +2 racial saving throw bonus against enchantment spells and effects.
*Keen Senses: Half-elves receive a +2 racial bonus on Perception skill checks.
*Multitalented: Half-elves choose two favored classes at first level and gain +1 hit point or +1 skill point whenever they take a level in either one of those classes. Chose barbarian and fighter.

*Destined bloodline-
1st level Bloodline power: Destined Strike: three times per day as a free action, you can add an insight bonus on an attack roll equal to half your level on one melee attack.
4th level Bloodline power: Fated Bloodrager: +1 Luck bonus to AC and saves.
8th level Bloodlien power: Certain Strike (Su): At 8th level, you may reroll an attack roll once during a bloodrage. You must decide to use this ability after the die is rolled, but before the GM reveals the results. You must take the second result, even if it's worse.

*Rage 25 rounds a day. While raging, add +4 to Str. and +6 to Con (due to Raging Vitality feat) and +2 to Will saves. -2 to AC while raging.

Background

Crain Tresselmore is a citizen of the City of Korvosa. He is also a reserve guard member, due to an unfortunate experience with Shiver for which he blames Gaedrin Lamm. He had come to investigate Lamm for numerous crimes in the city involving children.

He refused numerous bribes by employees of the crime boss, doggedly pursuing the man. Eventually, he was jumped by a group of Lamm's men, beaten down, and drugged. That began Crain's problems with fighting off the addiction, which ultimately cost him his active duty job with the guard.

He eventually shook off the Shiver addiction, but seems to have substituted another addiction--alcohol. He in never without a bottle or two of whatever is on special in the taverns. Although he worships Cayden, he isn't truly sure if that is real or just a cover for his alcohol abuse.

He currently is trying to regain his full time status, instead of only covering random shifts, when another guardsman is ill. His drinking is still an issue, but he is honestly hoping that with time, there will be healing. Since he blames Lamm for ruining his life, he'd love another shot to take on the punk and his crew.
