Meant to respond to some of these earlier and haven't had a good chance to do so until now:
@Nidhi - That's awesome! I'm a big PC/console gamer myself, though I've admittedly slacked off on that over the last couple of years as I've gotten more involved in PbP. My tastes are mainly RPGs and I also used to play a lot of World of Warcraft. Never played MtG but my husband used to be really into it at one point.
@Ben - I agree with Nidhi, I probably wouldn't have known you weren't a native English speaker if you hadn't mentioned it.
@Augustus - I hope you and Nidhi enjoy the game! PbP can take a little getting used to but nowadays I prefer it to playing face-to-face games. Still enjoy some good beer & pretzels-style live games from time to time but I get my RP fix from PbP :)

Hey guys, sorry for my single post yesterday but Sunday is usually a very hectic day for me, one that does not allow me to check the boards as frequently as I do during the week. That's mainly because of football (the sport you know by the name of soccer, which is a sort of religion here), but also because I'm expected to spend my day with my family. Moreover, we have our face-to-face campaign in the afternoon, so it's rather hard for me to post more than once/day on Sunday. I hope that's not a problem ;)
GM Euan |
Weekends tend to be slower for everyone, so it shouldn't be a major problem. :)

My reaction to Nidhi's suspicions about Ben. The girl has an active imagination! :D

Are the messageboard and my account links (at the top) broken? When I click on them it just refreshed the paizo homepage. :'(
I have to click on my account name to access my characters. This just started happening today.
Tis a known issue and they are working to fix them.
Your intrepid GM Evilan even pinged the man responsible and got a response. I expect it might be fixed by the time you read this.
GM Euan |
Sadly, in the way of Paizo, it's not fixed yet. We'll see how long it takes... but yes, they are aware and working on it.
It also effects downloads, so right now, no one can get any purchases they may make. I'm sure they're getting a lot of complaints. :(

Ancient Osiriani is a language. If you know Osiriani, it's a linguistics check to try and find meaning with ancient Osiriani. But the Professor, and maybe others too, know the ancient tongue... :)
GM Euan |
Also, i've been keeping track of what gear I have taken off of Maximus on my end, should I post that anywhere so you all know?
Nope. As long as you know where your stuff is, that's good enough for me. :)
Thanks!

My boyfriend said that Ben's picture looks like Jaime Lannister (Game of Thrones) in Dorne.
Aahaha, yes he does! Although I envision him much less handsome than Jaime. Look at Ben's profile for his true appearance...XD

GM, I believe my flask of acid indeed does deal splash damage.
If you miss the target (whether aiming at a creature or a grid intersection), roll 1d8. This determines the misdirection of the throw, with 1 falling short (off-target in a straight line toward the thrower), and 2 through 8 rotating around the target creature or grid intersection in a clockwise direction. Then, count a number of squares in the indicated direction equal to the range increment of the throw. After you determine where the weapon landed, it deals splash damage to all creatures in that square and in all adjacent squares.

Hey guys, I won't be able to post before a few hours. If you need to know what Benedictus does to move the combat on, please assume that he tries to stand up, provoking two attacks of opportunity in the process (sigh!)
Prof. Benedictus Dickens |
Wow those spiders have been very nasty to Benedictus! At least he's still alive :D
Florence Corvina |
Not sure...but hopefully your team* will! Our normal Pathfinder game for today ended up canceled since the DM got called in to work so I've been taking advantage of the relative quiet of the forums to play Pillars of Eternity :D
Not to mention we're not really sports fans here and we don't have cable anyway.
*Your team being whichever one the reader happens to be rooting for, if any.

Hey guys, I'm going to be pulling 12s at work for the next three days so you may not see much in the way of posts from me during that time. I'll try to check in/keep up as much as I can as this game is one of about three that I've been giving priority to on days where time is limited, but you'll still likely need to bot me at points if we wind up in combat again. More frequent posting should resume Friday night/Saturday :)
GM Euan |
Good luck surviving!
Is there anything in particular you want to do as DMPC? It's early in the campaign, so I don't have a good sense for 'go to' actions yet. :)
Florence Corvina |
Hmm...she's only got Shadow Trap left as far as 1st level spells go so she'll likely wait until we've either got one big nasty or multiple annoying foes before she uses it. Most likely she'll offer Combat Advice and use her longspear to try and Aid Another to people's defense if they're getting smacked around a lot or attack if they're not.

So how upset the mummy going to be when he sees "thief" written on multiple foreheads? Lol
Don't worry, yo. Zilch & Binx have that s&@$ covered. (Note the Professor in the background.)
GM Euan |
Go ahead and post. :)
As a rule, when you're in the group that's up, you can post anytime you're ready. I'll sort out any oddities caused by posts out of initiative order.
Of course there are exceptions, but I'll try to be clear when that happens.

Haha, love the clip Zilchus! That's a favorite movie of mine :)
In other news, I seem to have come down with the flu. Thankfully so far I feel more 'under the weather' than 'miserable' and am hoping for a quick recovery as I spend most of the upcoming week at home.
...Guess that means more time for posting, right? :P
Nidhi Aashirya |
I'm sorry you feel sick Florence :( Hopefully you'll make a quick recovery!
I work a lot this weekend but I'll be available in the evening for at least 1 or 2 posts. I'm really excited to see what happens with the construct! (Poor Zilchus!)
I don't get the movie reference :( Is it from The Mummy or The Mummy Returns?
Prof. Benedictus Dickens |
GM, I have a doubt about Zilchus' position. Is he in the coffin like Augustus or is he in the sarcophagus, away from the coffin?
GM Euan |
Zilchus was never grappled or swallowed. The coffin and the sarcophagus are the same thing. There is only one, uh, 'creature' facing you.
Does that help, or confuse things?
Prof. Benedictus Dickens |
It's clear now. I don't know why I thought he was actually inside the sarcophagus.

Hey, nice to see so many new posts when I got home from work just a bit ago! I'm sorry I've been a bit quiet this week; I came down with the flu nearly a week ago and spent most of this week at home recovering. My grandma also passed on Sunday and we buried her Wednesday. Finally, my schedule seems to be shifting somewhat to favor working day shifts so I decided I'd better cull some of my PbP games; I've spent the past couple of days deciding which ones to let go and working to leave my PCs in a good place to exit/become NPCs/be horribly devoured/etc.

Sorry for your loss. :(
And I had the flu last last week...it knocked me out for a few days, but that seemed to be much less than the others it was hitting.
Also, please keep Florence among the living and active PCs. I don't know when I'll have another chance to play with you, Lady L, again.
