Jirani helps the two newcomers up as they reach the walkway. With a disappointed smile, he claps Malik on the shoulder and helps him climb down. He then smiles broadly at Salador. "Let me make sure I still have my coin purse before you go!" he jokes, and then helps the thief, er, alchemist follow Malik down the rope.
To the newcomers: "We'll fill you in as much as we've learned when we get back to the inn. We were just going to go a bit further today anyway, I believe."
"As I was saying, that block might've been a trap that the goblins triggered. Maybe Tamarie should scout the passage to look for any others."

As Tam is walking down the hall she stops a moment to look at the dead goblin, as she does the ceiling starts to collapse, some debris falling down.
Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14
As it begins to fall Tam jumps back avoiding the majority of the debris, only getting covered by some dust. It seemed like simply walking through the hall disturbed it enough to cause the minor collapse.

"Are you alright there little sister? " Olik asks, peering through the dust filled air. Once he's certain she is and the air clears a bit he ponders the hall.

After contemplating a bit while unconsciously pulling at his beard "It seems to me that if we were to move slowly and nimbly we might make it through without causing more rubble to fall. I suppose the other option is to try and cause anything loose to collapse first but that might end up filling the passage."

![]() |

"Any chance we could shore it up without taking too long? I'm a little dubious about all of us sneaking through without disturbing it. And what if we collapse it from the other side? We could be trapped if there's not another exit."

![]() |

Tamarie, having learnt nothing from the first time the ceiling almost fell on her, tries to walk quietly acros, without disturbing anything.

Batah looks over the area and smiles.
"Unfortunately Sarenrae did not make me small or nimble, and I fear that it would be the goddesses own luck if I were to make it across without causing a collapse. Is there any other way around?"

GM Dak |

As the rest of you debate the best steps forward Tam quietly moves across the hall, getting to the other side with no issue.
On the other side of the hallway it opens into a large chamber that appears to be a natural cavern with small yellow crystals glittering in the walls. A level flagstone path clings to the western wall, but most of the room is an open chasm. Uneven columns of rock jut from the chamber’s depths, matching the height of the flagstone floor to the north and south. Water streams down from the roof of the cave and pools thirty feet below around the bases of the rock columns. A rickety ladder lies on the ledge of the cliff at the room’s northern exit, along with torches and a barrel full of pitch.

Olik breaks from the engineering discussion he and the others in the group were having when he notices Tamarie on the other side of the room.
"Huh." is all he says before shrugging and slowly making his way across.

"A pit of some sort with water down below. There's a ledge that leads around one side and some rock spars jutting up. Looks like the path continues to the north. Some yellow crystals you might find interesting Brother."

![]() |

Actually, looking at the map, it looks like you're already on the ledge, and it doesn't connect to the passage to the north. I think we're supposed to cinematically jump from one column to the next.
Seeing Virgil start down the hall, Jirani takes a deep breath and follows a few feet behind, holding his buckler above him. Total defense, maybe? I saw an attack roll when Tam triggered it first time.

Virgil moves through, though he stubs his foot on some rubble and pauses, waiting for some of the ceiling to collapse, after a moment waiting and no collapse he hurries across the rest of the way, getting to the other side with no further issue.

Jirani follows behind, leaving Batah the only one on the opposite side of the hall. Some dust shifts in the same spot the dwarf disturbed but Jirani gets through without a collapse.
There is a ledge on both the N & S side of the room, you are on the S side, the N side has the torches.

Olik claps his fellow party members on the back as they each make it through the unstable room.
"Come now Batah, if the Jiranis bit of dancing made it through I'm sure you'll be fine!"
Looking back at the room ahead he motions towards the pillars with a thrust of his chin and says, "So Little Sister, do you think you're up for it?"
Is there anything we can see from there to anchor a rope to on the other side?

"Tie the rope around your belly, brother. If you still have enough rope left, I could use some help in case I fall." she jokingly says, before taking a few pebbles and dropping them down, to see if they disturb anything special.

"Can you illuminate the arrow, so I can see a bit ahead?" she says while getting her bow ready.
I'll assume acrobatics to jump across?

Whuh? You read that right? :p
Tamarie curses as she hits the column badly, her groin bruised. She would have trouble walking for a few hours, that was for certain.
"Urgh.. Uff.. Damnable rope! Desna's lazy eye, that hurt!" she curses as she cuts it loose! The object was easier to curse at then her own stupidity and error.

Olik winces at the sight of Tamaries awkward landing.
In a vague impersonation of Tess Olik responds, "Agile as ever niece, perhaps if you're wit were faster than your feet? Now be careful!"
Olik gives a chuckle despite the somewhat precarious situation.

Jirani cringes as Tamarie makes it look difficult. He shakes his head as she cuts the rope. Too rash!
He collects the loose end and wraps it around his hand a few times for security. He looks to Olik. "You next, or shall I?"

((I'll keep that in mind for next turn, to move it along.))

Oh, and are these "animals" or something else?
