Jirani/Malik:
You hear noise coming from the room down the hall. You can't quite make it out but it sounds like talking.

Scarab Sages

Male Human (Garundi) Fighter (Tactician) 2 | AC 18 T 12 FF 16 | HP 20/20 | F +4 R +2 W +3 | Init +3 | Perception +7

Jirani stops when he hears something up ahead. He looks back and points to his ear and points to the room ahead. Then he moves his hand like a hand puppet talking. He points to Tamarie and points ahead to suggest she silently scout the noise.

Tamarie nods, even though she has heard nothing talking like Jirani suggested. She indicates "left" or "right" with an expression of doubt on her face, waiting for an answer before going further.

She slowly but steadily makes her way down the hallway, bow and arrow in hand. She tries to reach the doorway without making a sound, and puts her ear (if applicable) against the door.

T20 Stealth if possible: 20 + 9 = 29

Male Human (Garundi) Fighter (Tactician) 2 | AC 18 T 12 FF 16 | HP 20/20 | F +4 R +2 W +3 | Init +3 | Perception +7

Jirani shrugs at Tamarie's question and mouths the word, 'sorry'. He shakes his ranseur to assure her that the group won't be far behind if she needs us. Then he turns the glowing blade back within Olik's reach and indicates him to kill the light on it.

I was thinking the sound came from the A3 area, but I could've misunderstood.

Not sure if you can T20 on Stealth. I always think of T20 as the one that assumes you will try over and over again, failing several times before you succeed. The 20 isn't added to your modifier like the T10 is, the 20 is the auto-success '20' that you'd eventually get if you rolled 1d20 over and over. So you could T20 on a check to jump up and reach a book on a high shelf (no consequence if you fail), but not to jump across a chasm that's 100 feet deep (splat).

Yeah when there is a negative consequence for you failing no take 20, as like Jirani noted you are basically continuing to try over and over until you do what you are trying to do. Although I was always under the impression that you did still add in your modifier. In any case

Tamarie moves up the hallway getting close to the entrance. As Malik turns to have the light dimmed on his ranseur you all hear a bit of comotion from Salador Which I'll let him describe :)

Tam:
As you get closer you make out a group of goblins playing cards and occasionaly arguing, you would assume over rules of the game.

Salador:

Two giant centipede drop down from the shadows of the ceiling and bite at you, both managing to sink their pincers into your skin. Need 2 Fort saves and your reaction for the rest of the party.

Tam takes a shot, the arrow splinters against a pillar before it gets to the intended target. Olik slices into one of the overly large centipedes, spraying bug juice across the wall. Jirani tosses his ranseur back at the others leaving the light with them as he moves into the room with Tam.

Getting a better look at the room, eight statues of demonic creatures anchored to great square columns guard an octagonal open space in the center of this large hall. Various bits of scaffolding and debris are piled up next to the columns, which support a large gallery fifteen feet above the room’s floor. Open stone archways lead to the southeast and the north from the lower floor, and a large stone door stands at the south corner of the chamber. There are three goblins you surprise and as you come into the room you hear more goblins up above.

Semi-reference if you are interested ;) Link

The goblins stop their game, stand up and arm themselves for a fight while the ones above move away from the railing for a moment and you hear some sounds above. The remaining centipede continues it's assulat on Sal.

Does Jirani get any AC bonus from the archers for any type of cover? I assume the balcony goblins are elevated and the goblin in the hall is too short to provide soft cover, but I wondered if the ceiling in this hallway was lower than the ceiling in A3, maybe Tam and Jirani would benefit by backing further up the hall. (And if the ceilings are the same height, then Tam can keep returning fire.) Are the four goblins on the south end of A3 the ones on the balcony? The way they're spaced currently, Jirani might get partial cover (+2 to AC) just from the walls and the angles the goblins are firing from.

Jirani winces from the attacks. He adjusts his posture, and returns a weak swing at the goblin in reach.

Power attack, blessed, courage inspired, 1-handed: 1d20 + 5 + 1 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (10) + 5 + 1 + 1 - 1 = 16
Damage, if applicable, courage inspired: 1d8 + 3 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 3 + 2 + 1 = 11

Seriously. They need to put a handicapper on this dice roller. I know I roll 10 or under way more than 50% of the time.

Edit: forgot Olik's inspire courage. Handicap comment still applies, though.

I second the handicap! :p
Atk (base, pbs, bless, courage: 1d20 + 7 + 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 7 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 29
Dmg: 1d8 + 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 + 1 + 1 = 7

Tam moves up, stayind behind Olik but aiming carefully for the throat before releasing her arrow. She aims at one in a flanking position, opening a position for Olik to step up. It flies true, not even grazing Olik's beard.

She turns around at Salador, and says
"Take my wand Malik, and get him back up on his feet. This cluster of enemies is perfect for one of his rogue bombs!"

Malik draws a second wand and moves up, touching it to Salador's chest. "I have one myself. I'll get him back in the battle soon." he says.

CLW Wand 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Not sure which Tam hit (and I think killed). Olik attack the one due south if it's up, otherwise the one SW of him.

Moving swiftly to support Jiranis advance Olik strikes out at the first goblin he can reach.

Attack: 1d20 + 4 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 4 + 1 + 1 = 8
Damage: 1d8 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 2 + 1 = 4

The nimble goblin manages to duck the blow before it can take his head off however.

AoO-J: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

Malik heals Sal with a wand and Sal shakes it off as he stands up. Jirani moves in, avoiding a blow from the only goblin with a blade, and cuts one of the goblins down, opening the room for his other members to join him. Tam makes her shot putting another goblin down while Olik moves into the room. The arrow flying by his head must have been a distraction though as Olik isn't able to connect with the goblin.

The goblin adjacent to Jirani steps back and takes another shot along with the others, while the one goblin with his sword tries to injury Olik.

Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Confirm: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
Damage: 2d4 ⇒ (4, 2) = 6
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4
Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

-10 Jirani

Jirani takes two arrows, one very well placed which drop him to the floor as he bleeds on the ground. The goblin on Olik doesn't seem to have much luck with his attack.
