"Keep it up, Tam!"
Jirani drops the ranseur, and draws his longsword. He attacks the goblin between him and Olik.
Power attack, courage, flanking: 1d20 + 5 + 1 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (16) + 5 + 1 + 2 - 1 = 23
Damage, power attack, courage: 1d8 + 3 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 3 + 1 + 2 = 12

GM Dak |

Olik's attack misses the goblin completely, but at least provides enough of a distraction that Jirani has no problems striking the goblin down. Batah cuts into another of the goblins but only leaves a wound as the goblin remains ready to attack and they all do just that.
Attack-B: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15

Attack-J2: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3
The one Batah attacked switches his attention to him and only barely misses to cut into Batah. WIth Jirani focused on the goblin he just killed, the other two goblins manage to find an opening and slice into him.

"Good call, brother!" she whispers in Elvish as she attempts the same thing once more, taking aim slowly.

GM Dak |

Tam prepares another shot and lets loose as the goblin begins casting once again.
Concentration: 1d20 + 3 + 2 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 3 + 2 + 4 = 24
This time though, even with the arrow she manages to get off the spell as a dark feeling washes over Tam.

Goblins, Tam, Goblin Caster, >Olik, Batah, Jirani

Does the brazer fill that space or can we move past it?
Also Batah I'm not sure if it's included or not but you can add one to hit and damage due to Inspire Courage if you haven't already

![]() |

Olik advances, deftly passing between a stone column and burning brazer, to begin circling the next goblin.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 - 4 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 4 - 4 + 1 = 18
Damage: 1d8 + 2 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (5) + 2 + 1 - 4 = 4

Damage: 1d8 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 3 + 1 = 10
AC is now 19 with combat expertise.

GM Dak |

Batah drops the goblin he had been in battle with, while Olik circles around the column and takes a swing at the next goblin in line, even with his sapped strength he manages to connect, but only causing a small wound. Jirani gets into position to help Olik finishing off the goblin.
The remaining goblin looks back at the caster with fear in his eyes, but seeing her resolve to continue fighting he attack again striking out at Jirani.
Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
His fear obviously getting in the way he misses horribly.

"I think I have got his attention. she jokingly says in her home tongue.

GM Dak |

The goblin steps forward a slight grin on her face as Tam lets loose her arrow. As it collides the goblin opens her mouth letting loose a flood of flames that wash over Batah and Tam.

Olik wastes no time in striking at the goblin caster between himself and Jirani.

Damage: 1d8 + 2 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (5) + 2 + 1 - 4 = 4

Jirani takes advantage of his positioning to try to strike the caster as well, though his swing is a bit clumsier than the previous attacks.

GM Dak |

Ref-Batah: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18
Even with their optimal positioning Olik and Jirani aren't able to connect with the goblin caster, but after Batah avoids most of the flames and steps up he manages to connect, not quite knocking the goblin off her feet.
The other goblin strikes out at Batah after seeing him injure his leader.
Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Though fear still gets the better of him, not even coming close to hitting.

Tamarie curses harsly in Elven.
"Fire! Damn sorcerers!"
She waits a few seconds, and decides to put down the smaller goblin to the side of Jirani.
"Watch your flank, friend Batah! The little one's aim is terrible, but everyone can get lucky sometimes." she says stoically.

Tamarie suddenly realises something, and speaks in a foreign tongue.

GM Dak |

The goblin shouts back at Tam "Ba za ka samu takobin Zog!"
With that she steps back pulling out her longspear and strikes out at Olik.

Jirani looks to Tam, deep in her thoughts, "Zog's sword? Is that what the spellcaster was saying?"
He looks to Olik, "I guess you haven't exchanged too many stories with goblins? I wonder who would be able to tell us something about such a thing?"

![]() |

"Zog's Sword eh? Let's see I recall tale of Bugbites Helm. Poor goblin was so impressed with it's protective qualities that he thought it would be a good idea to wear it into battle on fire. Needless to say that didn't work out too well. Ah then there was Kipkeep Kneebreakers Bag of Wonders. He took the name "catapult" a bit too literally and tried launching cats into a small border fortress before attacking. While it did cause some confusion initially his grand idea soon fell to nothing when one of his fellows, thinking there was treasure of some sort in it, up ended the bag of holding he'd been using to contain the cats. Two hundred or so angry cats of various sizes put an end to that invasion pretty quickly.
Zog's sword though...humm..."

Those tales are frakking amazing Olik. You rock! ^^
Tamarie listens to Olik, trying to figure out if he is joking around or beind serious.
"The goblins with the firey breath said that we could not have the sword of Zog. I'm assuming it's something or someone important to him?
Maybe a deity of some sorts? Olik, doesn't ring a bell?"
She tries to collect as many arrows as she can, pulling them from corpses and cursing if the arrow is bent or broken.
Try religion :)
Tam thinks it makes more sense.

![]() |

I just want to see what crazy stories Olik can come up with! lol I think I will be asking him for information much more often now!!!
Know. Religion: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Batah also searches through his memory for any mention of this 'sword' and what it might be or mean.

Anything of interest off the goblins or in the room?
Olik considers the wisdom of Jirani's words, always reluctant to withdraw from an adventure. While doing so he looks down the tunnel leading from the room in hopes he might see something to aid in the decision.

![]() |

"Lets search just a bit more...I still have some healing left and perhaps we can locate somewhere here to rest, instead of hiking all the way back."
Batah moves down the tunnel to see what might be down there.

GM Dak |

Giving a quick look about the room you do see a chest half buried amongst other supplies. On the goblins you find just their armor and weapons but on the goblin caster you find five green peridots in a
pouch at her waist, a potion of cure light wounds, 2 vials of acid, and a much nicer chain shirt and longspear.
Armor/weapons are obviously small sized

![]() |

"Hold a moment friend Batah. It seems our hosts left something here."
Olik moves to the chest, gives it a look over and then tries to open it.
