Giladref quickly reverses direction as he hears the fall of Nessain. He moves out and casts whispering "slickstep" and pulling out butter.

Cast 'grease' DC15 reflex save or fall prone. The spell will be in the space under Nessian continuing south and west 10' square. Will mark if I can figure it out.

Hamith sees Giladref and the others turn around and sees Nessian now on the ground.

"How the...Nessian! Justice has come for you. You will not escape!"

He charges out of the tower and runs at the man.

Double move up to Nessian.

She takes aim, and shoots 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17 1d8 ⇒ 6

Nessian twists and writhes in the grease as he flails away at Kara, narrowly dodging her chop and Dru's lunge, but before he can rise, Hengist the Mighty lays him out with a brutal roundhouse.

Skipping the DC 10 check to find the codebook...

With the codebook in hand, and the last of Nessian's illuminating supplies, you are able to send up the Abort signal to the Ghostly Armada, and the ominous glow beneath the waves goes dark.

Yargos happily gives up the book to the society, After everything you've done tonight, it's really the least I can do. You have a friend in Yargos Gill!

Venture-Captain Adril Hestram is less effusive, How the hell did it take you all night to get a book off of some wag-beard?!
