Torch - Don't forget your reflex save to load the catapult. I rolled it for you this time.

Two projectiles fly from the boomapults, streaking through the air towards their targets. The first device, fired by Nurpus, strikes right behind the first row of barricades and explodes into a massive fireball as wooden splinters and flaming debris go flying. Much of the barricade takes significant damage as do three of the troops stationed behind it, who immediately drop to the ground to put out their flaming and smoking clothing. The second shot, fired by Mugmuff, goes wide and to the right, landing instead in an empty part of the street. The explosion does knock back a pair of archers who repeatedly pat themselves to put out the flames.

Goblins rush across the empty area between the two barricades, coming up short of the smouldering wreckage of one of the wooden obstructions and begin to try to hack their way through it. A sudden volley of arrows fills the sky as goblin and human begin trading ranged attacks, each hoping to decimate the other's forces. Several of the arrows hit their mark in the goblin ranks, two dropping goblin soldiers while the last one finds Mugmuff and pierces his arm.

Ripnugget cackles with glee as fire and smoke begins to rise from the ranks of the longshanks, and howls for more attacks!

Mugmuff takes 3 damage.

Fire-chuckers belch forth their payloads as Nurpus and Mugmuff both make accurate strikes against the enemy defenses. Nurpus' shot takes down three of the longshanks solders as well as further weakening a large section of the wooden barricade, which continues to burn and appears to be almost destroyed. Mugmuff's shot lands in the middle of a group of archers, killing one and wounding several others. Gretcha fires one of the rockets at a longshanks warrior, hitting him square in the face with the projecile and nearly knocking his head off. Bart and Torch continue to skillfully load the massive weapons, keeping the kegs of explosive death feeding into the devices. Kovak rallies the troops as he sings, reminding them all that goblin might is the most powerful weapon on the field!

Arrows sail across the field once more, neither side managing to inflict any casualties with their attacks. Another troop of goblins rushes forth towards the barricade, the might of the goblin army building at a single point in the line of defenses.

The goblins are up!

Assuming the catapult is reloaded, Nurpus tried to finish off the barricades.

Before the hit connects, Nurpus jumps up and shouts as he notices the trajectory of the keg go awfully awry.

"No No No! Stupid hunk of junk. Not over there. Over there!"

Going to zip through this since Bart and Torch are loading.

Mugmuff fires off his fire-chucker, the keg flying through the air to land in the middle of more archers. As the projectile lands it blossoms into a huge burst of fire that sends longshanks and longshank body parts flying. When the smoke clears, three of the archers, or whats left of them, are on the ground, and two more severely wounded. As Nurpus pulls the trigger on his flinger, a loud SPROING can be heard from the device as something goes horribly wrong and the keg shoots almost straight up into the air, traveling through a high arc before landing on the bare ground in the middle of a troop of attacking goblins. Greenskins and their associated gear go flying through the air as the destructive explosion decimates the front ranks of the goblins. In response many of the goblins begin to break from the attack, moving away from the deadly area where the explosions keep occurring.

Nurpus gets 6 kills! :P

Scattering for cover against the devastating fire-chuckers, the human archers blindly fire into the goblin ranks, arrows skipping across stone and building as the wild shots fail to connect. In return, goblin arrows rocket through the ranks of the longshanks, felling two of the defenders near the barricade.

Shouting at you, Ripnugget seems slightly upset at the decimation of one of his goblin formations. "DO BETTER OR ME FLING YOU AT THE LONGSHANKS NEXT!" he cries, his gaze focused completely on Nurpus.

The goblins are up!

@Mugmuff - The flingers don't need line of sight since they arc, but you'd need line of sight to target. Keep the range penalties in mind as well. I'd say from that range you are probably looking at Improved Cover with all the things between you and the target, but its possible!

Just FYI, at 105' out, thats range increment 3, or a -6 to hit. So the attack actually missed. But since it didn't get loaded this round, we will either save the attack for next round, or you can reconsider. :)

Torch heaves the keg into the flinger as Nurpus, not happy with being yelled at, aims the device and fires, the barrel slamming into the barricade and exploding with great force. Bodies and wooden boards fly into the air, and a path is made open in the defenses. In response, goblins and men begin moving towards the breach, to fight for control over the chokepoint. Bart moves to load the other flinger, but nearly drops the keg as his tired arms work to keep up with the constant demand for more ammunition. Mugmuff, unable to fire, stands there and gives Bart a cold stare. Kovak continues his song as Gretcha fires off another rocket, hitting a soldier in the face as the fireworks explode into a brilliant blossom of light and sparks, knocking him to the ground.

A pair of goblins charge the breach, taking out two of the human soldiers in the process. As the archers fire, another goblin arrow finds its mark and drops a longshanks soldier to the ground.

Goblins are up! There is a large breach in the barricade at this point, but the longshanks appear to outnumber the goblins by a wide margin. Bad Nurpus, bad! :P

Work had me off-site this morning, sorry for the late post!

As Torch loads the flinger, Nurpus draws a bead on a large gathering of soldiers and fires the device, the keg spinning end over end as it races towards the group and slams into one of the men, exploding in a wild shower of flames and burning a large number of longshanks in the process. The goblins at the front lines cheer and shout as the fires wash over the soldiers, wounding them gravely. Gretcha prepares to fire another rocket as Kovak drives the goblins forward with promises of burning buildings and loot! Mugmuff sights in another group as Bart prepares to load the flinger, but once again his butterfingers get in the way of properly loading the weapon and he only manages to lean the keg against Mugmuff's leg before giving up completely.

As the arrows sail across the battlefield, another goblin missile finds one of the soldiers, piercing his eye and killing him instantly. The goblins charge into the gathered humans, killing several before taking casualties of their own from the counterattack.

Gobs are up! Its looking bleak for the longshanks, they are outnumbered at this point!

Gobbo!

Nurpus, with Torch's expert loading assistance, cranks the device and launches another keg into the air, the shot landing center mass in the same group of soliders, killing three and wounding another as the shrapnel tears into the longshanks' ranks. Bart finally manages to get the heavy keg into the other flinger and Mugmuff fires the device. Maybe it was the irritation of having to wait so long to get off a shot, or maybe it was just goblin bad luck, but the keg wobbles in mid-flight and veers off course. Overshooting the target, the keg lands at the feet of a surprised archer as it explodes, sending the man's body flying into the air, only to land on a nearby roof a few seconds later.

Arrows rip into the sky, and in a surprising display of goblin accuracy, four arrows find their marks, taking out two human archers and two human soldiers. The goblins at the barricade surge through, dropping the remaining soldiers in a brief skirmish while the rest barrel towards the three remaining archers and the knight on horseback. A quick retreat is called as the longshanks turn and run, heading deeper into the city, nearing the docks.

Ripnugget howls in delight as his forces are victorious. He struts around like the king of the world and exclaims his skill to all those around him. "Ripnugget is best fighter, Ripnugget is slayer of all longshanks!" He moves to each of you, patting you on the back, or bestest head, and begins to call the remaining goblins back to the defensible area, a call which goes mostly ignored as many of the goblins begin looting and pillaging as much as they can from the human corpses.

Nurpus makes a very obvious puke gesture as he mentions the Gretcha boom-booms.
