GM Brew |
You guys will likely need to take turns on the rope.
Brax finally gets a bead and sends an arrow off Parini's shoulder, drawing blood.
Parani snaps off another shot at Lumo as he races to to the rope being used by Reidog. She hits the nagaji in the leg, causing considerable damage. She then takes a step back and pulls something from her belt. Lumo takes 10 damage.

Completing his climb onto the roof, Reidog draws his axe and steps away so he is not in Lumo's way.
"Drop it, sweetheart! Yer might not believe in Torag, but He don't need yer belief. Is this crusade 'o yers worth dyin' fer?"

Newmark complete's the spell at the beginning of his turn, leaving him a full round of action(s)...what he does with it depends on if he can see the archer..GM please let me know if Newmark can see the archer then he'll complete his action(s)
GM Brew |
Reidog ascends the rope and hops on the roof. He sees Parani, eyes burning through him, holding a vial filled with an unknown liquid.
As she eyes him, a shimmering eagle appears from the ether and attacks the villain. It claws at Parani, adding some scrapes to her arms.
Umberto up then top of the round.
Newmark |
couple things to note: GM 1st can Newmark see any part of Parani? If he can he fires a magic missile at her. (he hasn't taken his turn; the summoned animal was cast last turn and just 'appears' at the beginning of this turn: again Newmark hasn't acted...I need to know if he can see the bad guy.) If Newmark can't see the Parani, he spends the round loading his crossbow...if he can he fires a magic missile at the bad guy. Also note: Newmark has Summoners charm meaning the Eagle will stick around an extra round for a total of '2'. Lastly, don't forget...if Parani's AC: is '19' or lower and is an evil character...the Eagle did a total of 10 damage to Parani!
Newmark |
Newmark launches a bolt of force at the Archer. He then draws his bonded wand preparing for next spell he'll cast.
Reidog Blessedstone |
We may need to bot Umberto
Preorder: If she attempts to drink or throw that vial, I will use my AoO to perform a Sunder on the vial
Damage?: 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Lumo Seme |
Since We're running late, can we combine the top and bottom of the round? It doesn't look like anything happens in between them.
Lumo laughs and swings his Earthbreaker. "Not so cocky now, are you? "
Power Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
Damage: 2d6 + 8 ⇒ (5, 4) + 8 = 17
Can the bird, or Reidog, start moving around her so we can make some room? And give flanks?
GM Brew |
Yes Lumo, just post away.
Brax moves into position to attack Parani. Lumo swings his mighty hammer but misses the nimble foe.
Parani steps away from the suddenly surrounding party and drinks the vial she had ready in her hand. Parani fades from view....
As Parani disappears from view, the party hears a high pitched call. A hawk, seemingly perturbed, dive bombs Newmark's clestial eagle. Bird Fight!. The hawk tries to protect its master. The hawk does a number on the shining eagle, but it remains in the fight. 6 damage to the eagle.
***ROUND 3***

Everybody go ahead and post their actions and I will resolve in order. For sake of brevity, you may move about any rooftop that adjoins as it were difficult terrain.

Umberto Ricci |
Umberto waits for his chance to climb the rope and join the group on the roof.
Fervor cast Divine Favor on myself as a swift action. Move to climb and move again to get adjacent to an enemy if that opportunity presents itself.
Newmark |

Newmark having lost sight of the Archer, busy's himself loading his crossbow..He also moves back 5ft out of clear view and up against the nearby tent...in order to shield himself a little from the archer's last known position in the elevated tent platform .
Lumo Seme |
On mobile. Please move me North West, diagonally.
Lumo steps further onto the roof and swings at the new eagle. "Cowardess! Hiding behind a crow! "
Power Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
Damage: 2d6 + 8 ⇒ (4, 2) + 8 = 14
GM Brew |
I don't think either Reidog nor the eagle had AOO as Parani took a 5 foot step that did not put her in harm from what I recall. It is a moot point though as both attacks missed anyway.
Newmark's eagle engages the new bird as the wizard loads his crossbow. The eagle's talons flash and feathers fly but the bird is unable to land a blow on its arial foe.
Reidog readies himself for Parani's next move.
Umberto climbs the rope to join his comrades.
Brax fires off a shot at Parani's hawk but misses the mark.
Lumo steps forward and takes advantage of the hawks momentary closeness to the ground. He takes a mighty swing, connecting squarely on the bird with his earthbreaker. The party hears a splat and the bird explodes in a puff of feathers and blood, liquified by the nagaji's attack.
The party hears the thump of feet on wood as the unseen Parani moves about the rooftops.
Party is up.
***ROUND 4***

-----
Parani (damaged)

Reidog Blessedstone |
Reidog cautiously moves across the rough terrain of the roofs, preparing an attack if the archer becomes visible.
Move 2 space over difficult terrain, Ready an attack if she appears within range
Lumo Seme |
the bird that remains is the friendly eagle?
yes
Umberto Ricci |
Umberto will carefully walk the rooftop and summon the reddest wine on the ground a few yards in front of him, hoping for the archer to step in it and make themselves known.
Cast Summon Ale/Wine for 2 cups to spilled in a square indicated.
Lumo Seme |
Just realized the top of the order could play too.
Lumo twists his other wrist and a wand appears. "Gorum, reside in this fragile piece of wood, if only briefly. Travel from it into our honored armor, into our weapons, that you would know victory. "
Blessing for the party. Add +1 to your Attack rolls, friends!
Newmark |
Newmark moves in to the nearby merchants tent so that he's not exposed on the street to the archer. He then begins to recall a spell from his spell-book using his bonded wand. Spell takes a full round action (when cast from a bonded object)..if it's a move action to move in to the tent then spell will go off middle of next round. If it's only a 5ft step...spell will go off beginning of next turn...let me know GM.
GM Brew |
Looks like thats a move action from your last position Newmark.
Brax watches the roofs, waiting for their foe to reappear.
Newmark takes cover and focuses to regain arcane knowledge.
A familiar sound fills the air as tow more arrows fly, this time at Brax. Parani materializes above a more steepled rooftop not far away. One arrow wings the dwarf, drawing blood from his shoulder. Brax takes 4 damage.
Party is up. Newmark, Lumo and Reidog to finish round 4, then Brax and Lumo may post to start round 5.

Lumo Seme |
I'm pretty sure you can run through difficult terrain...
Lumo shouts at the sight of the archer and runs towards her. His armor slows his progress, but he ends up only a step behind Umberto. "We've almost got you now. Drop your weapon and surrender!"
Reidog Blessedstone |
You can’t run across difficult terrain or if you can’t see
where you’re going.
Double Move. "Link up so she can't get past us! We'll pen her in."
Newmark |
Newmark calls upon his bonded wand to cast disguise self upon himself. He contemplates the guise of a gnome merchant...but instead sticks with his own race and changes the color of his hair from white to red makes his noise longer and for a finishing touch..makes his clothing appear as the uniform of a Greycloack. He then steps back out of the tent.
GM Brew |
The party advances upon the cornered theif. Newmark steps out into the light of day but unrecognizable to his fellow agents. Newmark does not believe Parani has taken notice of him as she engages the rest of the Pathfinders.
Brax finally draws a bead and lands an arrow deep into Parani's thigh. She cries out in anguish.
Eyes blazing with anger, she once again draws a bead on Umburto leading the charge against her. She fires a carefully aimed shot at the warpriest. "I'll take you with me god slave!" The flustered greycloak misses the wide open shot.

Reidog Blessedstone |
Reidog double moves to cut off any potential escape off of the roof. Provoking an AoO, if she happens to have another attack form other than the bow
Lumo Seme |
Lumo takes a few careful steps forward, over the rooftop. "Ah, who you calling a god-slave, you heathen! Take it back!" He then charges head long past Umberto, desperate to arrive first.
Triggering AoO if this lady has Combat Reflexes AND can make AoO with a bow...
Newmark |
Newmark double moves towards the battle...loaded crossbow in hand.
GM Brew |
Brax tries to end the fight but is unable to get a bead in the crowded battle. His shot misses high.
Parani, bloodied and beaten, drops her bow and draws an axe, swinging at Umberto with anger and fury. She curses the man through a bloodied mangled mouth "Your gothh...will...not...sthave...you" Her fury drives her strike home, slicing a gash across Umberto's chest. The wound drops Umberto, once again spilling his life's blood out on the rooftops. Umberto takes 12 damage and is down at -10. Need a stabilization check if not stabilized on your turn.

Nothing I can do to help, except get her out of the way :(
Reidog cries out as the Cailienite goes down "NO! Ye fool woman. A god might save 'im, but who's goin' ter save you?"
Reidog brings his axe in a careful stroke, trying to make sure that he takes the woman out for good.

Lumo looks down at Umberto and frowns, worried. "Don't go into the Abyss yet, friend. " The large Nagaji gently twists his wrist, releasing a Cure Light Wounds Wand. He taps the priest and whispers, "Sleep well. "
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
GM Brew |
Newmark fires a bolt at the wounded greycloak, but his shot thuds into the structure.
Reidog, having enough of Parani's villainy, steps up and heaves a mighty swipe of his axe. The strike cuts deep into Parani's collarboan, sending spurts of gore in all directions. Reidog removes the weapon with a sickening sound as Parani's eyes roll into her head. She falls to he knees, then falls forward, blood spilling freely down the sloped rooftop trickling onto the street below.
The agents gather Parani's body and return to the lodge to report their findings. Grandmaster Torch seems pleased with the agents' results. The pride is short lived as a contingent of greycloaks turn up at the lodge in short order. After a heated confrontation with Torch, the leader of the group approaches the party.
"You all have murdered one of our own! Explain yourselves or face our wrath Pathfinders!"
Reidog Blessedstone |
We would have healed her to bring her to justice.
Bristling at the accusation, Reidog stands up to defend the party, though his tone is likely a bit too much.
"Yer own, were she? She's a murderer herself and we brought her ta justice.
She were mugging couriers and selling tha loot on the black market. In one case, she chased off an herbalist who were tryin ta treat one 'o her victims and offed him while the woman's back were turned.
She shot people with poisoned arrows from hiding and attacked us tha same way as we were returning ta the lodge with her ill-gotten goods
If she were one o' yer own, then who exactly is enforcin' tha laws?"

She brought me within an inch of my life, lawdog. She is a thief and a murderer. Surely you are equipped with magic to interrogate the dead and ensure honesty. We'll wait. Umberto unslings his tankard after an awful day and fills it with just an ounce of fortified red wine to steady his nerves. He takes small sips and stares at the greycloaks.
