Water Spout is quiet as he paces back and forth. When Warren offers him a club he hits a wooden beam so hard it splinters. He looks at Warren, fairly sure he understood he doesn't need a weapon.

I hate being so damn powerless. All I wanna do is toss Scourge and Plugg right off the ship and see how they fair in the water. I agree with Scourge about punishing those that steal, I did it myself even, But that, he says pointing angrily in a random direction, not like that. No one deserves that. He shakes his head and sits down angrily.

I doubt you guys want to be here anymore than me but I can't help. I've already set myself up as a target for Scourge. Doubt I could move without him being suspicious. But if a fight breaks out I'll be ready.

Leisure: After dinner and the rum rations, various pirate
entertainments (see page 67) take place on deck or below,
for as long as people are sober enough to participate. In
addition, each PC can take a single nighttime ship action.

Rest: Provided they’ve drunk their rum rations, the
PCs can retire to their hammocks in the lower hold (area
A10) whenever they wish. The PCs can take additional
nighttime ship actions if they have the energy.

Shackles Rum Ration
Type ingested; Addiction minor, Fortitude DC 5
Price 2 sp
Effect variable; +1d4 alchemical bonus to Charisma and
fatigued for 1d8 hours
Damage 1d3 Con

Games and night entertainment, Also night actions.

Arm Wrestling: Not merely typical arm wrestling
bouts, such matches are usually conducted on a barrel top
covered in broken glass, knives, or caltrops. Participants
make opposed Strength checks, with the higher result
determining the winner, and the loser taking an amount of
damage equal to 1d2 + the winner’s Strength modifier as his
hand and arm are pushed onto whatever lies on the table.

Hog Lob: Participants lob a lead ingot covered in
a greased piglet skin, the “hog,” as far across the deck as
possible. This game is resolved by d20 checks between any
number of players, who agree on a bet beforehand. The hog
counts as an improvised weapon, imposing a –4 penalty
on all rolls using it unless the thrower has the Throw Anything feat. Checks are resolved as attack rolls using the
character’s CMB. Characters toss the hog a number of feet
equal to their adjusted rolls; for example, a character who
gets a result of 22 throws the hog 22 feet. Some pirates claim
to have participated in games played against Asmodeus
using a live hog.

Heave: This potentially deadly drinking game is played
with rum and takes place between any number of pirates,
who bet to predict the winner beforehand. Each pirate
drinks a half pint of rum in one swig. Doing so forces
participants to make a successful DC 15 Fortitude save or
have the damage dealt by the rum ration increase by +1
(see sidebar; this is in addition to the normal effects of the
rum ration). This DC increases by +3 for each consecutive
drink. Pirates then take turns drinking until only one
is left standing. Some tales tell of entire crews drinking
themselves to death through this game, leaving ships of
drunk ghosts wandering the shipping routes.

Night Actions also on roll20

Nighttime Ship Actions
Sleep: Go to bed early and sleep through the night
(automatically recover from fatigue)

Gamble: Play or gamble on a game of chance or pirate
entertainment (see page 67)

Entertain: Make one Perform check to entertain the crew
(see page 67)

Influence*: Attempt to influence a single NPC

Sneak*: Take time exploring one area of the ship. The PC
can take 20 on a single Perception check or other skill
check, but must make a check to avoid being discovered
(see below).

Steal*: Attempt to open a locked door or locker. The PC
must make a check to avoid being discovered (see below).

Warren tries to save his rum ration for Grok.

You know I met some chaps who wanted nothing more than being whipped by a woman. Now I saw ya today, and boy, you really looked like one of those, just begging for a good lashing. Ya know, I have a feeling some of the Massas her just LOVE the whip. They get a hard-on for it. And that Scourge, the grapevine is we pissed him off. @Dinali, Grok is now friendly toward you, "Sorry my dear but i have it on good sources that that little dagger isnt yours, This Red-Haired Priestess picked it up and said it was a holy athame for her goddess.

@Akadi believe me i understand

@Tariel I will find you someone after i wake up.

See the above post or the post in discussion where i talked about wagering a shift of work, or your chores. Essentially you can wager your days work as cash in a game of chance. I dont mind if Akadi covers for someone, but you will need to make both job checks, and you also cant work diligently. Also you will not be able to take other ship actions.

What do you do.

He will move to search the wooden chests.

stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28

as scared as I am, IC he is going to search all them until he finds the other blade and the ring at least. What do I need to roll?

As you approach the chest i need perception.

M

perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13

for any others
perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13

Im going to take the first perception roll and tell you which locks are on the chests, then im going to use the 2nd to tell you about the chest that i think you will approach.

The lockers both have simple locks, the 1st chest has a broken lock with the 2nd having an average lock. Both trunks have good locks on them.

As you approach the chest with the broken lock you notice an arrow trap, in it.

let me know if you decide to try and disable the trap or you approach a different box. Dont roll for it, i will use the above rolls to fill in some of these down here.

Tariel:
Sure but this has a possibility of horrendous and stupidly significant acts on the party. PM me which chest you storage container you move toward next if not the broken lock. Then give me a perception roll, disable device if i listed the container having a lock.

I also believe and correct me if im wrong that if you are not careful you will possibly be fatigued when you wake, your essentially taking a dead of watch action which is DC10 +4 per action taken with a max of two actions. So i figure a DC14 Fort Check to make sure your not fatigued the next day.

You each awake in the lower hold as the bell tolls the captains summons. you each know that you need to be on deck within 1 minute. 1min=10 rounds.

Do not RP running up onto deck and anything happening on deck. your welcome to RP running up the first set of stairs. because...

As you run up the stairs:

At the second set of stairs you are accosted by 4 Pirates, you recognize them as Aretta Bansion, Fipps Chumlett, Jaundiced Jape, and Slippery Sy Lonegan. "Where do you think your going in a hurry? laughing as he pushes the first of you up the stairs. They are obviously unarmed except for Fipps and he isnt pulling out his dagger currently.

(they accost you in between the stairs up from the lower hold and the stairs up to the deck.) ive got it mapped on Roll 20, again looking for character portraits also if you could let me know through PM, the roll20 name that lines up with the character so that i can put only you on that character that would be helpful.

Diplomacy takes a full minute, even intimidate. I will retcon if that is not so. Warren mentioned we were short on time and he didn't want to get in trouble.

Edit: If all the bad guys could be 'talked down' in a round, Warren would be all for it. Warren's action assumes that the bad guys do not immediately stand down.

Depends on the encounter and GM, some can be avoided by good diplomacy or intimidate checks, others not. In character mine would at least try to get it peacefully resolved as they do not need more enemies at this point. If they don't take the carrot, they get the stick.
