Likely the second unless one of the GM's desires to branch out into entirely new adventures in the shackles. Going to be hard to reconcile two different crews doing the same thing all the time unless it happens to be a time/dimensional jump.
Perhaps we could have the events of port peril focus on port peril itself and leave the events of the campaign outside of it.
Slamming drinks and impromptu drinking contests sound like an amusing way to pass the time. (though no dance contests, Garm keeps winning those for some reason.)
I for one would have no issue with adding stuff to the area as from what I'm to understand it the S+S campaign doesn't provide a whole lot of motivation from plot piece to plot piece.
Extra adventures would be pretty easy to come by what with nearly anything aquatic or island based could easily serve.

2nd option definitely, im not planning on having you meet up and tour the world together but getting together to trade insults and have contests just seems like fun specially with the interaction that is already happening. And it would be Accorded Neutral Ground.
Start Date is looking like Friday Midnight going into Saturday. UTC-6
I already have both Roll 20s set up with Handouts for all the different Ship actions, jobs, and there is a punishment handout but you will fill that in as you step on peoples toes or watch the punishment happen. There is also a party trove for each Crew, this will be items held in a quasi-dimensional space called party land, Its on whichever boat you crew or connected to everyones back pack. It holds Party Gold= Gold you have yet to distribute, it holds wands, and big things. Obviously if its huge, it wont fit in the Trove.
This is my personal way of dealing with lugging loot and gold back to the hideout. Instead of having you go back in forth for 3-4 days to get it, that just seems silly. However once something is pulled out of the Trove, it cant go back in. That will stop it from being a bag of holding. Party trove also cant be accessed in combat, and is really only accessible when you have plenty of time, as in no combat around.
You are in charge of your own encumbrance, i count everything but gold. however i really dont want to have to go looking at your profile every 5 seconds. (not even sure encumbrance is used in PBP)
Combat will be interesting, and we will probably evolve it a couple different ways. Any good ideas can PM me, i know there are plenty of DMs, or GMs in this play group.
Have we officially moved Everryn and Akadi?
Also Due to Gleemans request he will be helping with the crew o' Salty Dogs and the Shackled Narrator will be helping the crew of Pirate Hunters (not sure how to say that in pirate) figured Salty dogs was good for evil.
Crew 2 to your boats
If you would like to get to the Crew 2 discussion it will be there.

I do not think, that Crew 1 will be Pirate hunters.
We are just gentleman Pirates. Pirates with flair Panache and wit!
We rob, we plunder, we steal, and never forget. Just one rape per island!
And yes sheep do count!
Call as corsairs, the gentleman bastards, the scoundrels, but please no pirate hunters. Makes me feel so ... clean!

Cool, I had just been planning on on abusing the encumbrance rules to get us a creature that oblivates the need for tracking weight.
I have a combo of tricks that would give a typical heavy draft horse a heavy encumbrance of right around 20,000 pounds. Would cost the party right around 3-4K gp and
Loot the statue, and the house, and the flagstones it stands on just for completeness. Only thing tha' dogs leave in their path be broken bodies as everything else can be sold somewhere.
As to proper pirate terminoligy.

It appears that you're all full up yes? And I've got an application in to join a different game of S&S, but if my bid there fails, and you need a hole filled on either of your crews, then I'd be willing to play whatever is needed.
Are you up for signing certs to give PFS credit under "campaign mode" for this?

Hmmm... If you'd allow it, I'd love to test my homebrew Rogue, if not, I'd enjoy playing a Bard too.
Probably make them a whip-wielding dervish or something like that. :)

Alrighty. I'm off to work, but I'll have my character made up by the end of the day.
Two more quick questions: Is there any sort of role aboard the ship that I should be going for? What with my planned build, I can either make a good helmsman or siege engineer.
Will the character be assumed to have been with the crew from the get-go, or will they be "picked up" from a harbor, enemy ship, shipwreck, etc.?
Thanks for your time and consideration!

We have a monk and Swashbuckler though.
We also have a druid, sorcerer and a shaman for those who are interested.
We already have 2 undines so I would not prefer to add a third.
Don't forget my animal companion later on ;).
An alchemist with trapfinding skills/trait from mummy's mask is also welcome as it fills a certain niche.
If everyone could get their characters ready we will take a look at them.

Crunch should be all done, working on my backstory and physical description. The Exotic Weapon Proficiency (firearms) is for proficiency with black powder siege weapons such as cannons since EWP (firearms) grants proficiency with black powder siege weapons in addition to guns, and to qualify for the Siege Engineer feat. If we are not using black powder siege weapons in this campaign - or if we won't encounter until 5th level or later - let me know, and I will change it out for EWP (light ballista).

I like the Raven, Sorry to all the rest Recruitment is Closed however should you like to be considered should another spot open up just post and ill send PMs if that should happen. Oh one other thing Lenny i really like some of the things you did with the Rogue class it looks interesting.
Raven we are on Day 4 currently, you will be swabbing the deck. There should be a list of the diplomacy that the characters have already made inroads on. You have nothing on you, but the clothes on your back. There is a fight brewing in the Bilges, due to you being late i will give you the option of fighting in it or not. If you decide to, you will come late to the party in the 2nd or 3rd round.

Sure, I'll fight (I'm mostly caught up on the gameplay thread). I don't know how effective I'll be without a weapon, but I'll give it a shot.
Would I be able to borrow a friendly NPC's weapon beforehand? If not, would I be able to make a diplomacy check - or sleight of hand if need be - to borrow one?
EDIT: Speaking of, Sleight of Hand to smuggle a sap in on Raevon's person (as per page 1 of gameplay thread).
SoH: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20
Welp, I won't need someone else's weapon, assuming this worked.
