Gronk's mighty swing strikes the allip right in half causing it to disappear and fade away into nothingness. Phantomblade moves swiftly into a nice position, however as soon as he leaves the circle, he notices the babbling of the Allips. Meanwhile Warpac follows suit and strikes the enemy hard hitting both the Allips and obliterating the second one with a swift end, leaving only one standing.
Phantom, you need to make a will save, failing will result in you losing the attack and be fascinated as per the earlier post, also just in case it was not clear, the zombie looking thing the manifested out of the paladin is also incorporeal in form.
The creature that left the body of the Paladin, observes Phantom leaving the protective circle and attempts to enter into his body.Another will save require!

Phantom manages to avoid paying any attention to the Allip and deals some amount of damage to Tzur Vaal, however being of spectral form, he did not get as much pain as Phantom could have put upon him. However Phantom was not strong enough to overcome to creatures possessive hold, and Tzur Vaal, the undead being enters into his body.

I might be wrong, but I though Phantom attacked one of the Allips and not Tzur? I might be confused here now :P
Seeing the spectral creature making his way into Phantom it caused him to raise his brow for a moment before hissing to Gronk and Warpac "Pull him back into the circle..." And with that said he turned his attention on the last remaining allip
5" step to stand in front of the Allip
Swift action: Smite evil on last Allip
2 attacks on the Allip (with Power attack and Smite active)
Attack 1, Power attack + Smite: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (11) + 16 = 27
damage: 1d10 + 28 ⇒ (1) + 28 = 29
Attack 2, Power attack + Smite: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21
damage: 1d10 + 28 ⇒ (7) + 28 = 35
'Zero' |
That complicates things. Not sure there's a way to hit it with arrows while it's inside him.
Zero takes a long look at Phantom's cloak, hoping to find a soft spot in his armor underneath, before swapping her bow to her other hand and drawing out a tipless arrow.
"Better ideas would be lovely, guys," she calls to the group. "I'm a good shot, but not that good of a shot."
Ready to shoot Phantom in the leg (nonlethal) if he makes some sort of hostile actolion on the rest of the party.
GM Batpony |
Phantom will move to flank And attack the zombie looking creature
I'm pretty sure that meant Tzur! However he still did step outside the magic circle.
Jaohd the Paladin, arises from the ground, confused as to everything that happened, he looks around the room, notices his dead companions, and the rest of the group, and tries to process everything. "My...friends....what..." It is clear he does not understand all that has happened, but he draws his sword nonetheless.

Warpac |
"Don't worry, I'll get him back inside the circle. Mayber I'll have more luck resisting the thing."
Warpac uses a fervor to cast Divine Favor, then moves to the opposite side of Phantom, provoking an AoO, and gives him a mighty shove aiming just north of Gronk and moving with him.
+17 Bull Rush, no provoke self, provoke enemy (+4[BAB] +2[str] +2[Relentless] +2[imp br] +2[grt br] +2[dris/wayf] +3[divine favor])
Bull Rush: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (17) + 17 = 34
Not sure how that 'You can move with the target if you wish but you must have the available movement to do so.' works. Warpac moved 15' and has a move speed of 20. Does that mean he can move 5' with him or 20'? He'd love to push Phantom 20' and get both Phantom and himself back inside the circle if possible.
GM Batpony |
AoO: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15
dmg: 1d10 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15
The possessed phantom is unable to land a solid hit against the rushing Warpac, and he convincingly pushes the Tengu back into the circle.
I could be wrong, but how i interpreted the movement was you actually have to spend a move action to do so, that's what I've gathered over at some reddit threads.
Jorah, maybe you know better, but does Phantom get one save against the effect after entering the circle? I had assumed it was only when the circle was casted that the saves are made, but again could be wrong.
Phantomblade |
i think its a new safe with. Plus 5 but could be wrong
-Posted with Wayfinder
Jorah |
No, he does not get the protection since he left and returned.
Creatures in the area, or who later enter the area, receive only one attempt to suppress effects that are controlling them. If successful, such effects are suppressed as long as they remain in the area. Creatures that leave the area and come back are not protected.
Warpac |
Can someone cast another protection from evil? If not I may have a boon that will allow Warpac to but he's already acted this round. Also I would think that that restriction would only apply if they were possessed when they left the area. I don't know why it would matter that he previously left in this case. Then again RAW can be strange.
GM Batpony |
The Tengu now back in the circle, doesn't produce the same results as what Warpac had initially thought it would. Zero fires a tipless arrow at the Possessed Phantom that goes wide.
What do you do now?

Attack 2: 1d20 + 15 - 4 ⇒ (12) + 15 - 4 = 23

"Be ready to kill it when it leaves his body.."
If the first 2 drop Phantom forgo the bite unless he can bite at the ghost..
Jorah |
Jorah reaches out and touches the possessed tengu, trying to expel the evil.
Casting Protection from Evil, which should give him a new save with a +2 bonus
Phantomblade |
Phantom being taken over, gets a sudden urge to expell this entity.
will: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
But He cant manage to shake it and collapses from the dmg of his friends
-Posted with Wayfinder
GM Batpony |
Gronk can bite at the ghost, just half damage if your bite is magical. Which I believe is. But the ghost only comes out on his turn as he requires a standard action to leave the body.
After phantom falls unconscious, it takes a while before the spirit reveals himself as he finds no more use of Phantoms body. He however find himself vulnerable between the pathfinder lines, but it is clear intends to possess another.
Round 2/3

Tzur Vaal -21
Zero,Kor'sarro
Warpac |
Warpac is all about safety and has no interest in being posessed so he enters the magic circle. Unforunately, this means he is out of attack range. So instead he touches Gronk's +2 Ghost Touch Longsword and gives it the holy strike ability.
Jorah |
Jorah pulls out the wand that the Venture-Captain gave them before they set out, and unleashes its power on the apparition.
Wand of Ghostbane Dirge
Kor'sarro Khan |
Seeing the undead show up next to him was the one thing the paladin of Ragathiel had hoped for. Calling down the strength of Ragathiel to help him smite the creature as he hissed "Be gone abomination, Ragathiel has deemed your presence unwanted!" And with that his sword makes 2 attacks on Tzur
Swift action: Smite evil Tzur

Korsaero, I believe your weapon is magical, correct me if I'm wrong. Did just enough damage to put him at -2hp
Almost with perfect synchronization, Jorah fires a charge from the wand the makes the evil ghost make full form. Kor'sarro charges up and deals maximum damage to the now corporeal figure striking him to immediate death.
The now recovered Jaohd turns to the party, "I don't understand... who are you? What has happened to my friends.. I was in this room with my friends fighting that creature you just killed, and few allips, and another monstrous spirit. Why are my friends dead? Where did you come from?"
Kor'sarro Khan |
Yeah, +1 No-dachi
Turning his head to Jaohd he seemed to shrug for a moment. "That creature was inside you, no idea how that works but someone else might explain it better to you..." He regarded the remains of the allips and smirked "Allips are dead as well..." Frowning for a moment he turned his head "What monstrous spirit?"
Will turn in 2 lay on hands for an extra Smite Evil
'Zero' |
"Before we get through with all the pleasantries, we've got an unconscious friend to tend to," Zero interjects, checking to make sure Phantom still has a pulse. Satisfied, she looks to the rest of the party to bring him back. "I can only make things worse," she admits, shrugging her shoulders.
Jaohd probably killed his friends himself while he was possessed. It won't be nice when he finds out.
"The important thing is that thing is dead," she reassures. "Again."
Jorah |
CSW: 3d8 + 6 ⇒ (8, 2, 1) + 6 = 17
Jorah asks Desna's warmth to flow through Phantom's body, healing his wounds. He turns to the paladin after tending to Phantom "You seem to have been possessed by some sort of malevolent spirit. How it happened, I do not know. Perhaps you could remember some detail about what happened?"
Phantomblade |

"When the magic circle chased the thing out of Jaohd it made a bee-line for you and possessed you. In spite of our best efforts we could not get it to come out of you so we rendered you unconscious. That worked and we dealt with it when it emerged from you."

Stealth, Invisibility: 1d20 + 34 ⇒ (2) + 34 = 36
I don't think anyone can pass that perception..so..
In the middle of you explaining the situation, Joahd screams "That's the creature!" The monstrousity looks like a skeletal creature with a long, thin neck that seems to float above the ground. Its jaw is elongated, showing sharp, worn teeth. The creature lashes out at Gronk before anyone is able to react to it's presences. The creature bites a Gronk in attempt to pull him out of the circle, however he fails to grab hold of him, but his bite does some damage. Creature has 10ft reach for bite. It is corporeal! But skeleton.

Gaki
Last combat... and we'll round things off.
Jorah |
Remember, you get +2 AC vs evil creatures!
Kn Religion: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Seeing the creature appear, Jorah quickly channels his divine powers to create another burst of Desna's holy radiance.
Burst of Radiance DC 18 and 5d4 ⇒ (2, 4, 1, 1, 1) = 9 damage. Also, 5ft step, circle moves with me.
Warpac |
Is the holy strike still active on Gronk's longsword? Not sure it matters since it is not his preferred weapon anyway. Also, is Warpac's Divine Favor and Bull Strength still active.
'Zero' |
I bet I could put an arrow through its ribs, Zero thinks to herself, as she moves to the opposite side of the room drawing a warhammer on the run. There, she drops her bow and draws out a small vial full of a chalky white liquid.
Boring turn. Move action (drawing weapon), second move action to draw a potion.

Very little time has passed, assume 2 rounds, everything you had is still active in most case. Ah noted Gronk, was referring to your stat bar when I assumed it hit.
Warpac |
Holy strike?

Kor'sarro Khan |
Active:Smite Evil, AC is 28 now vs the creature (if it is evil)
Knowledge(religion): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
This is the moment I hate EU timezones because warpac was able to post quicker and took the space I wanted on my initiative! oh well, sucks to be me :P
Seeing the creature appear the Paladin growled in anticipation as he seized his foe. Something in the back of his head clicked about the creature on what it was. A quick shout was given to his companions about what the creature was (and if I have a question on what the DR would be). "Give me some room to fight this evil!" When that was done he moved behind warpac to indicate his intentions to move up to the creature then called down the wrath of Ragathiel on the creature... When he had done so in a flurry of celestial the paladin casted a spell on himself.
Swift Action: Smite evil
Action: Cast defensivly Wrath
5" step behind warpac in hopes he moves to the left of him to give Kor'sarro change to step up
If not mistaken, I draw an AoO on myself.
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Components: V, S, M (a thorny vine)
Range: personal
Target: you
Duration: 1 minute
You focus your anger against an enemy. Choose one enemy creature that you can see. You gain a +1 morale bonus on attack rolls and weapon damage rolls against that designated creature for every three caster levels you have (at least +1, maximum +3). You also receive this bonus on caster level checks made to overcome the creature's spell resistance, if any. At 12th level, you gain the benefits of the Improved Critical feat on attack rolls made against the designated creature. This effect doesn't stack with any other effect that expands the threat range of a weapon.
GM Batpony |
Korsarro, if you cast defensively it does not draw an AoO, but you need to make a concentration check to see if the spell materializes.
The creature that stands before you is known as a Gaki, which is known as a misshapen creature with a supernatural hunger for things of the material world. Formed normally when an especially jealous or greedy evil person dies and returns as an undead.
Even though it's a skeleton, surprisingly there is no DR!
reflex,DC18: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 111d4 ⇒ 3
Jorah's shining light again proves affective as the skeleton like creature is blinded and takes some stinging damage from the light. Phantom sinks a good slice on to the creature, hurting it quite a bit. And Warpac fails to hit the target as he is tired of being burdened by the numerous undeads that befall this place. Everyone else steps back to prepare themselves for the creature.
Jaohd the Paladin decides it best be time for him to be useful as he moves up drawing his adamantine sword to strike the creature that he guess killed his friends. He also deals a nice clean hit to the creature, hurting him to a point that the creature looks badly hurt.
smite evil: 1d20 + 11 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 11 + 4 = 26
dmg: 1d8 + 3 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 3 + 7 = 15
The creature then retaliates back at Warpac who is the front lines, with most of his attempts missing him as he's being protected quite well within the circle.
claw: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 272d6 + 3 ⇒ (4, 1) + 3 = 8
claw: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 242d6 + 3 ⇒ (5, 3) + 3 = 11
bite: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 112d6 + 3 ⇒ (6, 5) + 3 = 14
Warpac is your AC 27 before or after the magic circle? Don't think it matters much though.
The creature is blinded, so Phantom you would have gotten the sneak attack bonus on the first hit. You can retcon that into your next post, the sneak attack won't be enough to kill it in the first round in case anyone was wondering.
Round 2 Again..

Warpac |
Warpac's AC is 27 AFTER the magic circle so one hits unless the blindness gives additional penalties.
Warpac, seeing how ineffective he was and the Paladin fairly dancing for an opportunity to wade in accommodates him.
5' step backward out of harms way, then a holy strike on the paladins weapon.
"There you go lad. Smite away and lay this thing to rest. Make Desna and Ragathiel proud."

Saving Throw Will negates; Spell Resistance yes
Calling down a litany of anathema, you make an evil more susceptible to the attacks of good creatures. If the target is evil, it takes double damage from attacks made by creatures with a good aura (from a class feature or as a creature with the good subtype). If the target also has the evil subtype; when it is hit with attacks made by creatures with a good aura, it is also dazzled for 1d4 rounds. If this spell targets a nonevil creature (or one that lacks the evil subtype), it has no effect, and the spell is wasted.
Warpac |
I think you get the 1d6 bonus to damage from holy strike on each attack.
'Zero' |

Warhammer: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14

GM Batpony |
It had about 20 life left. It's more than dead! It was suppose to be part of the first battle, coming in at a later round, but you guys are too effective against undeads! Conclusion post incoming, will get you guys your chronicles asap.
The pathfinders harmoniously synchronize their attacks to deal a massive blow on to the Gaki, striking her down instantly without mercy. The now real Jaohd Illzinian explains in detail that her exploration was not a very successful one with his allies falling along the way, until the current room you stand in, where he lost all memories after. He points out that the sword Gronk is holding belongs to him, Ether's Kiss, he calls it.
Searching behind the curtains is a little room with several dusty crates. The Orb of Stars is lying on the floor in front of one of the crates, along with a bottle of nightmarish pigments. Nightmarish pigments function as marvelous pigments, except the items they create subtly bend, warp, and discolor, and they occasionally show reflections of horrific vistas or screaming maws. As a result, they cannot be mistaken for objects made of standard valuable materials like gold.
A door from that room leads out, which leads you to a yawning pit full of crackling back energy. This pit is also a shaft of some sort, that leads you deeper into the tomb, it looks to be 300 ft deep or so. Any attempt to make contact with the shaft results in negative energy backlash. It's clear to you, that this is beyond the scope of your mission
Exiting the labyrinth becomes uneventful for you, and as the journey takes no more than a day, the gloomspires are stable, and furthermore, the object you hold, if the columns start shifting, would keep it safe for your travels.
Before ordering the Pixie to return to Drenchport, Benarry congratulates you on your for their heroic efforts. At the end of the journey, the paladin hands Ether’s Kiss to all of you, and he insists that they take it as a token of his gratitude. "I plan to travel to a nearby temple of Shelyn to recover from my trials. I have much to think about in this, I do not feel like the man I once was or used to be." Benarry is especially pleased to see Ilzinian. She apologizes to him for everything that he has gone through in the spires, and promises to sail him to the temple of his choice herself.
And that's the end of the scenario! PS, you'll have to thank Jorad for picking up the gooey stuff as it gives you a boon!
