Violant pulls out, of all things in the world, a miniature instrument as she points her staff at a nearby bush, plays the instrument (not quite well) and projects an intensified version of that sound to the area, hitting two different half-orcs in the process. She gives a miniature bow and a smirk as the sound fades.

Stride 30ft (Fleet!). Sound Burst Noise Blast on the two half-orcs. DC 19 Reflex, deafened on fail, stunned on crit fail. Hamming up that "1e character stuck in 2e".

Stom, frustrated that the Orc pulled up one ladder, he rushes to another and begins climbing it, luckily its a rope ladder and pretty easy to climb, he makes it 15 feet up the 20 foot ladder.

Violant, pulls out a tiny instrument and it lets rip a massive blast of noise and sound, bursting in the area around the Yellow and Red Half Orcs.

Unfortunately these dumb orcs are pretty nimble and they both manage to plug their ears in time before the worst of the sonic damage.

"Ooogh TOO LOUD, SHOOT THAT ONE!" The red one yells at the Yellow one, to which it responds, "WHAT, I CAN'T HEAR YA,"

Samael, avoiding the hobgoblin boss, continues to run away tactically retreat toward his allies, starting to juggle as he does so.

The Yellow Orc grinning draws his Longsword and strides over to the rope ladder stom is one and begins to hack away at the rope ladder.

Ropes have hardness 2 and 8 hitpoints, looks like it just barely survived his attack lol

The longsword nicks the rope and it begins to unravel, frayed, its twists snapping under Stom's weight, he'd better hurry.

The blue orc has a bunch of targets, Lyra/Violant/Samael: 1d3 ⇒ 1

It launches a volley at Lyra, trying to really bring down the Cleric, it hunts her before shooting two arrows at her.

Finally the White Half Orc, with a clear line of sight will shoot Stom, who is off guard while climbing a rope ladder, hunting him first.

Lyra's shield takes the brunt of the first Orc's arrow absorbing the attack. The second Orc's arrows pierce sharply into her arm causing a bit of damage.

Reaction shield block vs 1st attack, shields hardness is 6, reduces damage down to 4 for me and the shield, brings shields hp to 4/20, forgot to repair it while in town

Pulling out her med kit, Lyra performs some quick battle medicine on herself.

Ripping the arrow out and applying some gauze in the wound, Lyra grins at the fellow half orcs, then launches a set of needles at the Blue Half Orc.

Lyra, continuing her blessing, takes a couple of arrows, in the heat of the moment she pulls out some brilliant field doctoring, before then launching a counter attack. While her needles go wide, the half orc that shot her is still a little feared by how quickly she shrugged off his two arrow volley.

Oppa, targeting the blue orc while he is distracted launches a brutal battering ram of energy his way.

The battering ram slams into the half orc, but he withstands the buffeting force, holding his ground. I think im reading that right, he suffers no movement if he succeeds? shame its not a little bit on a succeed.

The red half orc, see's his post getting surrounded, roars loudly, then decides to focus the squishy looking elf next to the cleric. Taking the time to Hunt Prey on Violant before shooting two arrows at her.

But both his arrows go incredibly wide.

The Gray Hobgoblin, her shortbow at the ready, and having Samael already marked as her prey, lets loose arrows at him. Taking careful aim to ignore any cover penalty doxie might provide.

Violant sends an electric arc at the two half-orcs she targeted with her ... enhanced noise. She hopes that, this time, they can't dodge it in time.

Samael, taking two arrow shots in strides, enters a stance allowing him to launch playing cards with deadly precision, creating a diversion with a little stage magic before sending a zipping card straight at the Yellow Half Orc. However the angle doesn't lend itself well and the card goes wide, thunking into the wood next to the orc.

That gives Stom time to heave himself up the remaining couple of feat and bury his axe in the Yellow Half Orc, finishing it off, kicking the corpse to the ground.

Violant targets the two remaining half orcs on the platform, causing an arc of electricity to zap between them.

reflex blue: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16 They take a bit of damage, their skeletons briefly visible as they are shocked.

The Blue Half Orc, confronted with a more immediate threat of Stom having gained ground, will drop his shortbow, drawing out his longsword, hunting Stom, before attacking once.

And scores a pretty wicked hit on the Dwarf.

The white Half Orc, having many targets on the ground to choose from will pick a new one to hunt and shoot. violant/Lyra/Samael/Doxie: 1d4 ⇒ 1 Decides also on the pesky elf firing off blasts of lightning, hunting her first before firing.

Doxie tears into the white half orc viciously, he was not expecting such a medium dragon to hurt so badly!

With all enemies defeated up on the platform, Stom runs the width of the platform and jumps at the last moment, hoping to land on top of the hobgoblin.

Stom's speed when raging is 30ft so he can leap up to 15 feet horizontally on a successful Long Jump.

Samael throws a sharp playing card, impaling it into the Blue Half Orc while Violant sends lightning arcing between the blue orc and the white orc fighting doxie.

Samael and Violant finish off the blue orc, and shocks the white orc badly.

Since samael and violant killed blue before you, just applied your attack to the hobgoblin

Stom seeing an opportunity, sprints to the edge of the platform and throws himself into the air toward the hobgoblin boss, bringing his axe down viciously on her, wounding her badly. She glares evilly though as she remains standing after a truly ruinous blow.

on top of that, there are falling on a creature rules. Stom you take 10 damage, which is half the distance of the fall. The hobgoblin must make a DC 15 reflex save to avoid taking 5 more damage from you falling on her. Additionally, you land prone at the end of it all

The White goblin, badly wounded, drops his shortbow, pulls out his longsword, Hunts doxie and then attacks her.

all good, I know that's happened to me before too! I should have posted last night, Lyra's needle darts killed the white orc, so I'm gonna have Doxie stride and attack the hobgoblin, cause that's probably what would have happened

Lyra, stepping forward, neveloping the whole group in her blessing, fires off a few needle darts, impaling the white half orc, finishing off the her combatant. Little lost love between fell halforcs it seems.

Oppa commands doxie who pounces on the gray hobgoblin, tearing into her with her teeth, doing considerable damage.

Bleeding badly, the gray Hobgoblin now alone, drops her shortbow, "Hol' up, I surrender, ain't no job worth dying for now that the helps dead," She unclips her belt, a fine rapier clatters to the ground with it. "Name's Dmiri, we were the Bloody Blades, guess its just Bloody Blade now,"

Dmiri Yoltosha scowls, her sharp, yellowed teeth flashing briefly as she spits blood onto the ground. Her gray skin glistens faintly with sweat and blood. She glares at Violant, the corners of her mouth twisting in disdain, but there's a trace of something else in her eyes—survival instinct.

“Yeah, the Bloody Blades,” she growls back in Common, her tone dripping with irritation. “Ain’t a cozy little sewing circle, if that’s what you’re wondering. We take jobs. The dirty kind. Good pay, not many questions. That pretty Elf in there wanted someone to keep nosy little pests like you outta her cave, and she was payin’ good silver for it.”

Her red eyes narrow as she glances over the party. Her voice turns calculating, her tone less combative. “And, yeah, I took the job. Easy enough on paper—till you lot showed up. You’re tougher than you look, I’ll give you that. But no job’s worth dyin’ for.” She huffs through her nose and gestures weakly to the cave behind her. “That’s all there is to it. You want the knife-ears? She’s further in. She didn’t pay me to stick my neck out any further than this entrance.”

Dmiri leans back against the building wall, watching Violant and the others closely. “Now, if you’re done with the questions, maybe we can talk about me walkin’ outta here in one piece, huh? I’m no saint, but I know when I’m beat.”

"I figure it wasn't some sewing circle the moment you attacked us-- Wait, elf-- did she have actual pupils, like mine," she says as she points to her half-elven eyes. "I think I might know who it is," she says as she begins to describe Voz, asking the hobgoblin if she was who gave them the job.

for what it counts, Voz Lirayne is a half elf, I might have described her poorly earlier, or perhaps the earlier description heavily focused on her elven features and less on her human ones

Dmiri’s scowl deepens as Violant speaks, but her eyes flicker with cautious interest when the half-elf points to her own eyes and starts describing Voz.

“Yeah, yeah, that’s her,” the hobgoblin mutters, “Plain gray robes, all serious-like, real quiet. Didn’t say much when she hired us, just handed over the silver and told us to keep everyone out. Didn’t even bother with threats—just paid and left. Probably figured we’d be smart enough to not ask too many questions.”

Her blood-red eyes linger on Violant’s half-elven features as she adds, “She didn’t have much of a face you’d remember—cold, though. Real cold. You’d think she was made of stone the way she looked through you.” Dmiri spits on the floor again. “If she’s the one you’re after, then yeah, she’s in there somewhere. But don’t expect her to roll over as easy as me. She’s not the type to stick around unless she’s got somethin’ nasty planned.”

The hobgoblin pauses, a glint of self-preservation returning to her gaze. “Now, I’ve been real helpful here, haven’t I? Maybe that’s worth somethin’ to you. Let me go, and you can have the rest of this cave all to yourselves.”

most of the half orcs have died or bled out, but Dmiri isn't too concerned about them

Dmiri looks at you all, not sticking around to look a gift dwarf in the mouth, scurries off into the woods, as well as one can when badly wounded and near death.

Searching through her stuff, you see that her Rapier and shortbow she dropped are both magical.

Inspecting the her belt pouch she dropped, you find a number of adventuring goodies, some chalk, ration bars, etc, but most interesting is an unadorned steel key.

Gathering up the half orcs, they each had longsword, shortbow (20 arrows), studded leather, and 15 sp and there were 5 of them total. Minus like 10-12 arrows from the total.

Inspecting the small dwelling, This old log cabin has a gently sloped shingled roof and a single door set in its western face. There are no windows in the walls, which are crusted with patches of moss. A rickety, round table on the north side of the room within is used for meals, while a bed and footlocker sit beyond a ratty curtain along the southern wall.

The footlocker is locked but Dmiri's steel key fits it perfectly. Inside you find Inside is a 50-foot length of rope, a pair of grappling hooks, four lesser healing potions, and an everburning torch, a silk pouch containing 500 silver pieces, a glass globe with light spring water fizzes and bubbles within and appears magical, lastly there is a pearly white spindle gemstone that appears magical.

Its an aeon stone, normally used by Pathfinder's of the Pathfinder Society, Dmiri must've killed one and took this off them but couldn't figure out how to work it. Pearly White Spindle

After this, there is just the cave entrance behind the outpost to explore. Let me know when you guys are ready to proceed. Probably gonna be like 10 minutes to loot all this and gather it up, longer if you are taking the time to identify it all

Violant only opts to identify two of the rapier and the aeon stone, seeing as how it's... well, its's a dang aeon stone. Violant then relays what they are to the group. "Well. This rapier has a striking rune on it. Stom would probably find use out of this thing. And this is an ioun stone, or an aeon stone. If no one else would like to use it, I'd like to invest in it. Seems useful given it can heal."

While Samael and Violant study and identify the object left behind by the hobgoblin, Lyra takes out her med kit and begins to spend the next 10 minutes patching up their wounds.

“if you can identify these here I’ll get you both all healed up nicely.” she puts the rickety table and it wobbles u set her big hand.

looks like after that bit of healing, Samael is down 2 and Stom is down 3 hp as we go into the caves

Setting the gear you've assembled into a pile in the outpost, you guys settle on exploring the cave. A sheet of moss hangs down over the entrance concealing it well from wandering eyes, but up close its easy to see through the mossy wall.

This cavern has a layer of dirt strewn about its floor, soaked muddy in places by moisture and disturbed, it would appear, by the passage of feet. Two tunnels lead farther in—one to the north, and another to the south.

Sticking to your usual explore to the left, you guys head to northern tunnel in the cave, The corners of this cavern are filled with thick strands of spider webs. In the center of the western wall, a pouch of thick webbing trembles in occasional vibration. A thin stream of minerals drips slowly from the center of the ceiling, slicking the floor here and creating treacherous footing. There are signs of recently gnawed bones surrounding the area, as well as the occasional decaying corpses.

As Stom is taking in the scene before him, a large aberrant spider looking monstrosity drops down from the ceiling, hissing and ready to fight.

this is a Trixitog, they are intelligent aberration's, that regularly hang out with spiders, and are able to communicate with Spiders in order to do so. They also regularly speak at least common and occasionally other regional languages depending on how old the creature is. They are immune to Poison and are easily able to detect creatures that are touching their webs. Despite being intelligent they can be incredibly weak willed.

The Creature ready and waiting for you guys, lashes out at the unprepared Stom with a bite and a kick.

Lyra will move into the room and get into flanking with Stom. While getting into position behind the spider like creature she draws her morning star and swings.

@Oppa, chances are decent you could have gotten some healing, Stom wasn't up to anything and could preform a treat wounds on you, it seemed from the posts that y'all were trying to recover and enter the cave as quickly as possible.

This would let you be able to refocus prior to this combat

Your group springs into action, rushing to Stom's aid as you recover from the sudden appearance of this horrific spider-like aberration.

Lyra, Stom and Violant all make efforts but find the creature to be overwhelmingly agile as it dodges all their efforts to hurt it.

Meanwhile Doxie and Samael are able to land some pretty significant wounds.

Stom continues his onslaught against the spider, hopefully more accurately this time. His wounds don't seem to bother him, or he hasn't noticed yet. After attacking twice, he moves slightly to allow the others to surround the spider and cut off any retreat path.

Your party maneuvers around the spider-like aberration, surrounding it before landing a series of coordinated strikes. Before it has the chance to even think about surrendering, it is finished off!

This area is still dominated by the somewhat quivering, chittering, shaking mass of eggs, making searching this area difficult.

It looks like their might be some treasure or at least some half eaten bodies worth looking at but they would be impossible to search without straying too close to the mass of writhing eggs in the center of this small room.

Let me know if you guys want to try and explore this room, retreat from this room for now, heal up and then try and explore it, etc

Stom leans against the wall before sliding down into a crouch. "Nice job everyone! That spider stuck me a few times, but we made short work of it." He lets out a groan. "I need a few moments to get patched up. Lyra, you don't mind, do you?"
