I'm still here. The game seems to have stalled. I didn't feel like taking the lead in this conversation because Spectrum can be a bit abrasive. I thought Wyam might want to do the talking.
Spectrum
I discussed the possibility of retraining out of Arcane Crafter and into regular old Evoker (or perhaps Scrollmaster).
Have I had enough down time to do that? I've lost track of how much in-game time has passed since we returned.
Spectrum
Spectrum's rebuild is complete. I've lost the Arcane Crafter archetype. Instead I'm now an Admixture Evoker, able to alter the 'spectrum' of energies. I think it fits his themes a lot better.
In addition I dropped Heigten Spell (I have no idea why I picked it up, it won't do me any good until at least 5th level). Instead I took Improved Familiar again, so Array and Glimmer are both officially class features now! They will be graduating to full size at the next decent chunk of down time.
Isme
By the by, did we finalise the distribution of items we took from the quasit?
They are:
a +1 Returning Silver Dagger
an obsidian unholy symbol worth 10gp
a Band of Charisma and Intelligence +2
a Belt of Dexterity +4
I didn't put any of those on me. I think Noro called dibs on the Belt and I wanted the Band for Charisma and Intelligence, but Spectrum could also use it. Isme would benefit a lot from it in terms of class abilities though.
And I almost forgot, but Isme took Feral Speech which allows her to speak with animals. That means we can ask anything around us, and even the jaguar.

Ok, here's some options-
1) I have two familiars with brutal stealth scores and the ability to cast touch spells for me. Combine that with 27 charges left on a wand of shocking grasp and I have pretty good odds of being able to drop 2d8+2 damage on things. For goblin dogs, that will probably be enough to kill them. If we can catch something sleeping I could even get a coordinated coup de grace out of it.
2) Isme could Misfortune a dog, and cackle, (sounding like a loud raven), continuing until they were pretty much all misfortuned. The dogs, unable to explain or realize that they were suddenly very unlucky, would probably end up asleep in short order (slumber hex/pseudodragon sleep poison). Then stealth killing them would be pretty easy.
3) Feral Speech and Diplomacy might make an ally out of the cougar.
Thoughts?
Isme
Isme going first with Slumber is our best bet.
3) is risky, but if it works, we'd gain a great deal.
I kind of want to make Wyam make the stealth check first. And if he fails, we do Slumber/diplomacy. We can also do Slumber first and then try and have Wyam sneak past.

We might have to consider the possibility that we've lost Wyam and Noro. How long do we want to wait for them before we push forward? I would rather not get into another long delay.

hello all I am still around. I hope to get a post up tomorrow.
Sorry if I have held anything up.
home life is starting to get back to normal (well as normal as it can be)

For the grease effect, I have two options-
First is to Grease the chief's saddle. I don't know how this would work though. Would the saddle be the Chief's item, or the mount's? Could it really be dropped if the save was failed (since it's strapped on)? Would the chief treat the saddle like greased terrain, having to make saves every turn to keep from falling prone to the ground?
If this doesn't really seem feasible, I'll just Grease the ground in front of the doorframe instead.
Spectrum
I plan on sticking my nose into every room just to do a full sweep, but that would probably take quite a while to do normally.
GM, what do you think of doing things cinematically, giving us an overview of interesting things, assuming we take 10 on perception until something particularly interesting catches our eye.
Then you can just place us wherever we need to be for went we run into an enemy or a trap.
Sound good?
