Oh. Father Zantus has been preserving Chaise's corpse the whole time (presumably using Gentle Repose)? If so, that means Raise Dead would work instead of Resurrection. And that would cut costs by half.

Interesting look through here, so Restoration actually cures Ability Drain from one ability score in addition to removing a negative level if it's paid for with the extra diamond dust. So actually Chaise will be perfectly revived after he comes back because his Con drain will be dealt with.


Makes sense that the temple might offer overnight facilities after you're resurrected, just in case something happens. Plus they'd likely reckon some good praying and blessing after is essential to resuming a productive life.

Just waiting for Spec to post I'd say.

...Also apparently I didn't post something I meant to. I was going to suggest purchasing Sleeves of Many Garments instead of a one-use expensive outfit.

Would the illusion work to change armor/gear to look into something more ordinary for Isme? She might pick it up if she can use it to blend in better.


I'm not sure if there's any equipment 'ordinary' for a raven. I suppose some kind of message-belt?

A Hat of Disguise might be best. It can make you look like you're wearing whatever you want, including nothing.

That's a good point, Spectrum. Didn't actually think you could wear "nothing" with a Hat of Disguise. Well, I suppose I could look like I'm wearing a extremely tiny cliphat that won't even be seen. I wonder if I can change color with it, would be very useful since that's the main identifier for a raven....

GM, I have a rules question-

Alchemical Weapon is a Swift Action.

Can I apply it to Wyam's weapon, or does it have to be a weapon I'm holding?

Do Kejal's fists count as weapons?


Has to be a weapon you're holding. Fists do.

...so, upon reading it through, it seems that the secret group, 'Brothers of the Seven', must have put a big sign saying 'The Seven's Sawmill' outside their sawmill, as otherwise you have no way of knowing where to go next.

On the plus side, Isme is in her creepy element. She really needs to get darkvision somehow though hmm.

Anyway, Kejal! Haven't really spoken and I don't want you to feel like you're being left out. x3 The pace alright for you? I know it can get quite slow at times.

Yeah, it's too bad that it seems to be on every list of caster spells other than the Bard, Witch, or Paladin. It is one of the spells you could technically get cast on you with Permanancy if that's what you wanted come 9th level. That or just have Spectrum cast/ make scrolls for you.

Pace is totally fine with me! I really prefer a slower one to a faster one. I don't always get to check frequently and it's easy to fall behind.

Looks like one of the cultists made the Fort save and isn't Nauseated.

As for the cloud, visibility looking into it is 5 feet, so we can currently only see the front row of cultists. They have 20% concealment against us.

Of course, the cultists can only see 5 feet too.

Oh, and Nauseated creatures can use Swift action abilities that aren't spells or attacks. So, if they have those they might still be able to do something.

Oh, right. Hmm. Evil Eye is one of the hexes that have text saying "that she can see". The others just state "within 30 feet". There's a debate on whether Hexes need line of sight/line of effect and I'm interested in how you'll rule so I know in the future, GM, but I'll just sidestep that for now and cast a buff.


Huh, here I was just hoping this tactic would dissuade a fireball. Having disguise self prepped is useful.

Well this is quickly becoming some of Wyam's harshest lessons in so far as being a Paladin upholding his tenants are concerned. Sparing a surrendering enemy didn't work out, now saving an "innocent" who begs for help might just be a trick from a murderous Skinsaw worshiping Rogue Cleric.

Not that it makes a whole lot of difference but this guy is certainly emboldened by Wyam's aura of courage as he briefly considered "her" in need of assistance.

I don't think I ever really got around to saying it before, I really enjoy your version of what the aura means for people.

Something that Isme is certainly aware of about Wyam at this point. He is always on the go, if there's evil afoot he almost won't stop if he believes it is threatening the people. Left to his own devices, as you saw in the Foxglove Manor, he keeps going until he's fairly certain he won't survive the next encounter.

He's not unreasonable in this regard however and will take the time to consider other options given motivation or suggestions. He just has a tendency to get into "Paladin Mode" and starts running about until it's done. The fact that he is leading a group of like-minded, or at least willing, individuals makes him feel like he can do a lot more. Which is absolutely true.
