Alright, looks like we're finally headed back home! The items from Zincher's Crate and Zincher's Body have been added to the sheet, please make any claims on available loot and I'll make a final divvy once we have a chance to sell our items.

The Noqual is currently listed as "To Sell" though I'm sure we could make a number of items from it, so make sure to mention if you want to hold onto any.


Roll 20 Map

Yeah, the ability for noqual to take medium armor and turn it into light armor is pretty major. A breastplate with no movement reduction... Nice. I know a character in another campaign who'd jump on this. :)

An object made of noqual gains a +4 bonus on any saving throw made against magical sources.

Weapons made of noqual weigh half as much as normal, and inflict +1 point of damage against constructs and undead created by feats or spells (this is an enhancement bonus to damage).

Armor made of noqual weighs half as much; noqual armor is one category lighter than normal for the purposes of movement and other limitations (light armor is still treated as light armor, though). The armor’s maximum Dexterity bonus is increased by 2, and armor check penalties are lessened by 3. The armor’s spell failure chance increases by 20% and applies to all magic cast while wearing the armor, regardless of the magic’s source or class abilities possessed by the wearer. The wearer of a suit of noqual armor gains a +2 resistance bonus on all saving throws against spells and spell-like abilities.

Items without metal parts cannot be made from noqual. Noqual has 30 hit points per inch of thickness and hardness 10. Noqual ore is worth 50 gp per pound.

Creating a magic item that incorporates any amount of noqual into it increases the price of creation by 5,000 gp, as costly reagents and alchemical supplies must be used to treat the metal during the process. However, Riddleport, where the process is often done, is at your feet (or will be soon) and the dwarves doing the work owe you - so this fee is waived.

Hmm...Kaylayne is reconsidering the armor offer. But if any of the front liners wish it, please say so.

I figure we have about 115lbs worth of the stuff, 80 from the drow and 35ish from Zincher.

If the 5000 gp fee is being waived, Kaylayne wouldn't complain about noqual agile breastplate (25 lbs).

And to confirm what I think: one would still need heavy armor proficiency to wear noqual plate, but it would be considered medium armor for purposes of feats/speeds/etc.

I think you need the proficiency yes. So a medium armor might be like a light armor, but you need to know how to wear the medium armor to avoid the penalties.

I should add the 5,000gp waiver is a one time waiver, but it's not limited. So as many sets as you want for the Noqual you have. But after 'today' you'd have to pay (if you obtained more Noqual later for example).

The current gold split (this does not include the Noqual) is 4,513 gold pieces for each of us, so please add that to your sheet when you see this.

We have a total of 121 lbs of Noqual, (83 from the Drow, 35 from Zincher, 3 found on our own) if Kay and Ed both get agile breastplates (50lbs) and Garridan gets both a Heavy Shield and a Rapier (17lbs) there's still 54lbs of Noqual left over.

If you're on the fence, you should make a decision soon, because if you don't make your items now they come with a 5000gp increase later.

Crafting done by the dwarves will take a few days. So call it three days to get all your Noqual made into masterwork items, for which they're waiving the usual fees.

Then the magical process will take 1 day per 2,000gp value. +2 armor is 4,000gp, so two more days there. So you'll be waiting 5 days, at least, for your gear to be made.

Also remember you're still accumulating expenses on the gambling establishment. I'll just keep a running tally until you open, sell, whatever. ;)

It costs 25gp per day to maintain it at the levels you are, and it's been ~20 days so far total.

As far as Daylight, I really have no clue, perhaps potions of Darvision or Scrolls of Daylight? Maybe we can ask the cyphermages.

GM you said the 5000gp for making a magical item is being waived, is there a cost increase just for making a masterwork version of an item or are we purchasing these at standard item cost?

Lastly if we sell the remaining 24lbs of Noqual it comes to 1200gp, so we can put that to use either for some of the items above, Goblin Maintenance, etc. Let me know if anyone wants to keep it.

There is no cost for the 'base' armor or weapon. So you're just paying for magic-ing costs. :) Quite a deal!

It's the morning of the 16th of Arodus, and you started owning the Goblin on the first. So you owe 16 days of support so far, at 25gp a day = 400gp if you want to pay it now. I'm fine rolling it forward until you decide what to do. It's a small enough amount it's not a big deal.

There is darkness and then there is 'Darkness'. You'll want a solution next time we meet a drow.

Scrolls can be hard to read in the dark, but there might be an oil in our allowed books that does the same.

If we're going to go the heightened continual light route, let's go for the lvl 7 caster/lvl 4 spell level version, so that it protects against that nasty deeper darkness as well. I'm happy to chip in for one of those.

Uh, yes and no. I saw that, but until it's tabulated and included in a distribution, I figured I'd keep more specific track of my funds. I don't know exactly how much extra money we'll have from the noqual and prefer to be exact.

I officially distributed it through the treasure sheet and in post. The official remaining amount was 24lbs sold at 50gp a pound and the sum of that was used for the the stones giving everyone 16gp each.

Just curious... is the loot spreadsheet accurate?

I'm asking because I did a tally of my equipment + gp available and came with approx. 12,500 gp, which is a little lower than the 16,000 gp that a 6th level PC is supposed to have but no big deal.

However, on the spreadsheet, it says that Dimitrio's 'net worth' is 17,338 gp.

Is this correct?

The spreadsheet is only an estimate, but it includes things like the communal wands that have been purchased that wouldn't be on your individual sheet. That said it does feel a bit off if you're sure of your count.

I've been watching the spreadsheet work of Ederin pretty closely, and I'm pretty sure it's accurate.

Scan the first tab and make sure you took all the magic items and distributions you were supposed to.
