I was going to make a non-mechanical fluff bond with Belym of: Belym reminds me of my departed younger sister. I'll not lose this one to battle.

Mind if I make Rigwald's bond a fluff bond and make Belym's real?

Alignment (Endanger yourself to make a plan succeed): Yes, plan was to protect Belym while she rained rock down upon our enemies. I acted in her defense despite immediate danger, took the hit, but protected her. +1

I think we can say yes to all 3 questions.

Notable Enemy: Yes, I think the giant brutes were notable. +1
Learned Something about the World: Yes, Braxos soldiers are within Tanard, there is a tower nearby that needs clearing. +1
Loot: That amulet and 950 gold seem notable. +1

Bonds: Thaddeus if you agree I would resolve my bond: Thaddeus has much to learn about the ways of battle. Your combat skill in rescuing Ron and Belym belies Ron's false belief.

Proposed new bond: Thaddeus has grown too hard. I must show him there is more to life than duty.

Alignment: Help an animal or spirit of the wild. I did provide more food for the foxes in the woods so maybe?
Bonds: No update stay as is
• Did we learn something new and important about the world? Braxos infantry are on Tarnard land and near Norwhich.
• Did we overcome a notable monster or enemy? The Brute was certainly notable to Scath as he had never seen one with the Ravagers before.
• Did we loot a memorable treasure? Yes, Ravagers pockets were rich.

Saving the town, while limiting the collateral damage, seems like it would qualify.

Session questions: I agree with Ron's answers.

Bonds: I think I'd like a new one with Ron: "Ron is tough for a man his age; I'm proud to fight alongside him.". Sound good? (And I'm fine with the one you wrote for me.)

I've got 120 coins of loot to contribute to the pot as well. (And, assuming there's a second arms dealer besides Ron in town, would like to spend 10 to pick up a suit of leather armor, if that's fine with everyone.)

Yeah, there is another arms dealer (the blacksmith, he (or rather his sons) also branch out into leatherworking). and no doubt with Ron out of business, someone will replace him.

What should we do next team? We've got weakened town defenses, nearby ravager camps, foreign soldiers of a hostile neighbor, wargs, and a border tower that needs cleansing.

Any thoughts? Am I missing a hook or angle?

Also, should we follow up with the elven wizard that wanted to play now that Rigwald appears to be gone?

Well, my IC motivations would probably lean towards ravager camps or wargs. That said, I've been pursuing my dwarfy kin for months, a little more delay isn't likely to make a huge difference :p OOC, that border tower sounds like a fun bit of classic dungeon crawl.

(Also, missing from your list of hooks is Thaddeus' thief.)

I know the player of the elven wizard in real life, actually. I think he'd be down to join, if we're looking to replace Rig. I want to get around to finding my holy symbol, but I'm sure that can be worked into another plot.

I think strengthening the town's defenses or helping the town would be good.

It'd be great to know if we have another caster before hitting level 2. I was considering adding wizard spells for more versatility for the group. If we have a wizard I can just become a better death dealer.

Scath's grandfather traveled with the caravan where Uncle Marcel was killed. His heroics prevented more loss of life and he and his kin are considered friends of the elves (but not so much as to be allowed into elven lands)

Bond works for me. That explains why I don't have a bond with you and can't gain gambits from you. Your impulsive theatrics make it impossible to plan.

Looks like fighter can only have 4 bonds to start, and Rigwald isn't playing anymore, so I would cut that one.

Uh, the only Remorse you have is buyer's remorse. Catastrophe is 100% pure fabled elven windsteel. The finesse of a rapier, the jagged serrated edge of one of those knives you make in prison to guarantee you kill someone. Goes in clean, comes out messy.

Interesting choice for me :-) Did you save my life recently, or long ago? I could easily have been trespassing (accidentally?) while pursuing my kin; there could've been some elven magic involved in my surviving the tunnel collapse/gaining powers; or it could've been long ago. Any thoughts as to which it was?


by the way, Ron and Conwall, I was initially a little worried that, both of you haveing the signature weapon move, you would step on eachothers toes, but i love the way your weapons are different, and how that mirrors your differences as people.

Let's say you accidentally trespassed on Stags Leap land and I hurried you out of there. Terrible breach of protocol but I couldn't be bothered with an execution that day. I'm not even 100% sure Elves even HAVE magic. It might be interesting if they are magical but utterly lack the ability to manipulate the arcane forces.

What's the order of operations here? Does the demon h&s with Conwall and Thad is sequence? Does he h&s with one while the other deals damage unabated?

This thing is fast enough to keep up with everyone, and as Ron proved, just getting close can hurt. so, everyone H&S's, unless someone is crazy enough to try to get it's full attention.
