Yes it is, you should totally do it!

also, I am basically going hands off while you guys plan, I haven't forgotten about you, just waiting for preparations to start.

Incidentally, Conwall, two questions, (Well maybe 3)

1. Why pottery?
2. Where are you going to get pottery?

I read it in a story once where a small army had to make a big army think they too were a big army. It's easy to smash and makes a loud noise. I figure that we have more coin than we can carry, we can just buy out the potter's shop and load it up on a wagon.

So, here are my thoughts about how I want to play this Collector class because it's very loosely defined, and looks hellaz exploitable and/or potentially annoying.

The class feels like a compromise between the wizard and mage class types focused on items. They can't rummage during a tense moment, but they're not limited to a list of spells.

The armor turtles are definitely a temporary safety net. I really don't want to be pulling out weapons/armor/bandages/antitoxins etc. I want to focus on obscure utilities, like the three examples I gave before, or turret type "weapons" that Sheridan defends while they attack.

On top of that, I think there will be a fair bit of leaving critters behind as they find homes. Maybe one or two faithful pets that see extended use, but mostly episodic flavor-of-the-week type critters.

Anyway, those are my thoughts.

The Moves in Detail section of the book (or at least online version) says you can prepare a spell more than once. I had no idea that was possible.

I hadn't thought of the turret creatures idea. I like it. also, good to know, because I was actually have some trouble.

also, Thanks Ron, and Tom, thats good to know. I had just never seen it, keep it as is Tom

That's a 10+ unless it is Charisma based.

You continue on, fortunately you do not encounter any more patrols, though the patrol that almost discovered you rides past you at one point. soon the camp is visible up ahead. Draw a curtain.

To keep you on the same chronology as the others, I think we need to pause. If you would like, I can do this like my IRL gaming group, where I will assign you a couple NPC's to play, or you can just sheck back in a day or two. Your choice

Sounds great. No need to run an NPC. I'll keep an eye on the imminent TPK though.

Yeah, what they're saying is "Unless you patch up steaphan, we're staying right here" the 7-9 on a parley. was that not explicit enough, or do you feel I had misread your intention?

also, Sheridan, I am so glad I finally found an excuse to make one of your animals talk to you. This is going to be fun

It's good, but bloody. There's a part where some American soldiers are in a bar behind enemy lines pretending to be German soldiers. They're meeting a contact. Then a real german solider shows up and it gets...tense.

I'm joking. That's my least favorite bond for cleric because it's difficult to fulfil at all.

Ron would make much more sense as a convert than a heretic.

Sorry for disappearing ... This weekend got kind of busy. I was going to have Belym give an attempt at a rousing speech in Ron's stead, but I see that's been taken care of. To battle, then!

Also, totally on board with punches not being pulled. This is, from any objective viewpoint...hmm..."brash" would be the polite way to put it :p

its totally fine, stuff happens.

guys, for the upcoming fight, I am going to ask you to remember that H&S is actually meant to be a brief exchange of blows, rather than one swing. this is important because of how I will be dealing with the sheer number of enemies (running squads as single monsters). Just a reminder/request.

I don't understand. I agree with the way you've treated it. Playing it a bit like the ranger will work well. Did I say it wrong? Simple? Should I say elegant? It's an elegant solution.

lol, I read it both ways and was curious what the result was.

It could be a "great simplification" as in reductive or a "great simplification" as in good work simplifying my concept.

Oh, sorry!

Nah, I was getting all wrapped around myself trying to figure out something interesting and unique, but a little damage and flavor tag was all it needed. Even with a Defense action like we were saying before, we could add those tags to the "deal your level in damage to the attacker" option if you see fit.

Still feeling out the character here, trying to avoid straight damage while strolling into a battlefield called for some compromises.

oh, sorry, I just.... good, we're happy with how this went.

I may yet get through this without offending Tom's deity.

I'm not sure if sounding the retreat was a good or a bad idea.

As long as we harry them as they try to retreat, their losses could be substantial enough to prevent an immediate backlash. Plus, if the leadership figures us out mid-retreat, they may have a hard time turning their men back around quickly.

Okay, about the Gambit thing. We had originally agreed on LOS, but later we settled on "Justify it with a little retcon (Like Conwall said about the training montage, or just something you had told him earlier ("If you're really in deep, pretend you're on the ropes, it drops their guard")

because this is my bad for not remembering that, and speaking up, Ron can spend the gambit now, and Conwall can get his face back. sorry guys.
