*poof*
Nice, a flurrying monk mummy. Lots of undead goodness in that one. I envisioned a spray of feathers that dissolved as the summoning spell was broken. If it had been a parrot it would have been like fireworks!
Bygone PBP |
This guy looks pretty nasty. Bygone is going to chance the AoE attack and move back towards the entrance and start a Summon Monster III.

Merisiel attacks the monk mummy, but misses. Aesabella's magic missile creates a hole in the mummy's chest. Bygone retreats and starts to summone another monster while Felicitas begins to study the monk. Lucius shoots three arrows at the undead and hits three times. Al'Khain casts a spell while his wolf attempts to bite the mummy, but the large wolf's teeth grab nothing but air.
The monk in return tries to hit 1d2 ⇒ 2 Merisiel with undead fists.

Oh well, 4 will have to do. Still pretty good.
Will post actions this turn for Bygonne and Eagles in another post. I really want to get the eagles in place for flanking before I'm ninja'd.

Only one of the eagles is evolved, all are augmented. The only difference between the evolved on and the others is that the evolved one has an AC of 16 instead of 14. Big deal. The evolved one is the second one to the east of the mummy about 5' under the other eagle.

I meant SM III. Missed an 'I' there.
Begin casting summmon monster I. I have a feeling some of those eagles are going to need replacing :)Merisiel Level5 |
Merisiel hurt. She hurt like she had rarely hurt since taking care of herself. Well, there was that time in the ruined monastery...
Thinking about it, she decided to avoid monastery's in the future. They had never really been her kind of a place. Still, retreat was called for.
And then the swarm of eagles descended on it. Chancing her arm one more time, the rogue positioned her rapier for a final thrust...

Bygone summons four eagles which surround the undead monk. The birds attack, but none of them hits. They hit only on a natural 20 :(
Merisiel hits the mummy monk really hard while Lucius sends an arrow into the mummy's head. Felicitas' attack misses, but Aesabelle makes another hole in the mummy's body.

After seeing how poorly the eagles did, Bygonne cancels his casting of SM I and casts bless instead.
I considered chanelling but it is only 3d6 and as far as I can tell only the wolf is injured.
Though the inspire does not help the dumb eagles, the bless will. Hopefully they can hit on a 19 now!

not confirming the crit ;)
While Felicitas' attack misses the monk Merisiel uses her chance to strike at the undead creature. One of the eagles pierces its claws deeply into the monk's rotten flesh. The wolf continues to bite the agile undead, but misses. Al'Khain's katana finally kills what must be dead.
