Sorry, finally found info on the bell. The reason that you couldn't take it... is that it's already gone.

He looks at Grahl and then at Brachar, "I've seen you two before, haven't I.." he grabs a paintbrush off of his belt and dabs it into a color before making a slash across the wall. "Yes, you were the annoying people who bothered me earlier, asking me question after question." he dips it into the same color, and does another slash, almost as if making an outline on the wall. mumbling to himself he says, "The only people who come here are the from that cult. Groetus has grander plans for me. In fact, he has plans for you as well." he said that last part after he turned his head towards Grahl.

He dips his brush back into the paint. "My painting... well, the bell was taken and they have such plans for it. A painting will suffice. Though, we knew you were coming, , we wI knew you would come again, not unexpected this time, but Groetus told me you would come, and he asked that you rid his shrine of the derros. But I warn you, do not interfere wit his shrine or Groetus's anger will be swfit." the image of the bell is a little clearer after he explained what it was.

"Dwarven fellow, if you look for trouble, why not follow the derros?" he points towards a door in the southeastern corner of the room. "They are always causing it. Down, down deeper and deeper they go. If you follow my map to the underground, you won't get lost."

The painter pauses in his painting and looks at Thael, "You don't know who Groetus is? He is only the God of the End Times, The one who is the ender of worlds. He is the Harbinger of the last days." he smiles a twisted smile as he continues. "He looks down upon the Boneyard and waits for the last living soul to die. When Pharasma judges the last soul, after the last living bodie dies on the Material Plane, Groetus will descend to the Boneyard and do whipe the world clean." He starts to laugh. "He is the bolated moon that hangs in the night sky. Those who have dared to travel there have been welcomed into Groetus' arm, never to return agian. Those of us who know his glory, seek to find his embrace." He continues to rant on for a few moments about his lord, then calms down enough to let Thael look at the painting.

Any other questions?

He is painting an image of the bell being used in a ritual. But it's not complete, so you don't know what the ritual might do.

Upstairs you find a note that reads I write in haste. Whoever finds this be warned, the derro took us all! Look for discarded paper to follow my path. They are herding the prisoners into the lower cells in Stavian’s Fair. They have a If i didn't already give that to you.

Looking through the rest of the rooms, you are able to find an open trap door, that leads down into the sewers. Here the refuse rushes by in a stream of garbage carried swiftly through the sewers proper. A five-foot-wide dry ledge sits a foot above the refuse and provides a walkway on both the east and west side of the sewer. On the west wall, a massive iron door blocks passage beyond. An image carved into the door is of a dispassionate figure holding a gibbous moon.

I need an 15 acrobatics/reflex check from everyone. If you fail, give me a fort save. You are trying to cross over to the other side of the sewer.

After you've crossed over the muck in the sewer, you enter a room that is fulled with lichens and fungi that shine a purple glow. The fungi and lichens are all over the room. In the room's center, a strange pedestal, carved in the likeness of dozens of grasping tentacles, sits fixed into the stone floor.

Turzyk's attack lands and pushes the Ghast back 5 feet.

Thael nods at Grahl's suggestion. Not seeing much ahead, the wizard can only fear the worst.

He readies a spell should an enemy come into view.

Both Grahl and Thael hang back while 2 of their members have fallen victim to the Ghast already. Turzyk was able to push it back a little, but now it's back up and moves 5 foot forward and fully attacks him.

The Ghast rips into Turzyk
claw: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21

Claw Damage: 1d6 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Bite Damage: 1d6 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

I need 2 Fort saves from you. Both DCs are 19. The first one is to fight off the paralysis that would last for 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 rounds. The second one, we'll worry about if you fail.

Grahl shakes his head as the cleric rushes into the fray, removes his shield, and stows it in his pack and scoots over some more.

Get ready Scar, I'm sure the creature will approach us now - attack if it does!

Turzyk, you're up. And you will take con: 1d3 ⇒ 1dex: 1d3 ⇒ 2 in days: 1d3 ⇒ 2 and will persist until you cure it or have two saves in a row.

Once again, the Ghast is pushed back 5 feet, but not much more. The hits from Turzyk are getting to it.

Just now saw this... Aura stench (10-foot radius, Fort DC 20, sickened 1d6+4 minutes)... Turzyk, want me to use your fort saves that you just rolled to apply to this or do you want to roll a new one. If not, those fort saves will be going to waste. If you fail the check, roll for yourself the effect.

"Are we falling back to fight it here, or should we move in to assist?" Thael asks Grahl.

Looks like we have conflicting plans. One was to fight it out in the tunnel where we can flank and overwhelm it. But it appears Turzyk has other plans. While it seems to be working okay, we should all get on the same page. Should we move in to assist him?
