Upon returning to the Crazed Painter, you describe the statue to him, but he seems to ignore you for a while, painting furiously on the painting of the cat.

As you look at the Crazed Painter, you see two other paintings in the room.
The second painting is of a Three-foot-tall bas-reliefs circle the building’s outside walls at ground level, though they are warped and twisted in the crazed painter’s art. Derros stand atop the hall’s steps and seem to punish criminals—all of whom are wearing the robes of Taldan government officials. At the southwest corner of the building, the bas-relief glows a bright white. The same lone figure from the other paintings attempts to sooth a group of frightened children by playing a flute— the notes are actually painted above him on the canvas.

It depicts a stately, white stone building, identifiable as Cassomir’s Imperial Hall of Records

The third painting shows dozens of angry derros smashing brightly-painted urns against the retaining wall, while the same lone figure from the other paintings frantically attempts to push down an obviously barred door in the middle of the wall, presumably to escape another group of menacing derros that seems to pursue him.

The Crazed painter finishes his third painting. Kneels down before it and says. "For you my master." then he looks up at the group. As if noticing you for the first time. "If you are looking for my master, he is not here. If you're foolish enough to look for him, then you might as well end your searching and look in the Crypt of Fools." he laughs madly and then goes and lays down on the straw that serves as his bed.

If you want to make any purchases or what nots, now will be the time to do so.

Horror in the Hall of Wonder.
Smoke and steam pour through many openings of this misshapen building. Gears and gizmos can be heard clicking against one another in a rhythmic cadence. A loud “chunkchunk” sounds as several pistons churn up and down, powering some unknown machine. A cacophonous symphony of grinding metal plays on. An enormous sign, nearly the entire width of the building, declares it to be the Hall of Wonders.

You can enter the building through the front door or one of the many windows or by scaling the wall and entering via the skylight. The walls of the hall are 20 feet tall and require a DC10 climb check to scale.

Once you enter the Hall of Wonder, you can see the outlines of three great structures that pierce the thick mist that choke nearly the entire western half of the building. As you enter, you can hear the murmurs of people talking. But, as of now, you are unable to locate them through the mist.

As you move through the mist, you come to a doorway. Imminently on the other side of the doorway is what might be an open room. Within 5 feet of the door, you see two huge sculptures. You can hear the raised voices of several men somewhere in the room.

The two structures that are right beside you, first you can make out a brass planetarium that rotates in the northeastern corner. In the northwestern corner is a clockwork contraption ticks and tocks as it turns on its axis.Finally, a giant metal crab sits with its claws extended on a southwestern platform.

You can't make out exactly what they are saying, but you can tell that they are interrogating him.

Just as you are getting ready, the spell holding the fog dissipates, leaving you all open. But luckily you are a little faster than them and are up first.

They are a little shocked, but are un-wavering, as they hold clubs in their hands.

Grahl points at the nearest thug and flashes a hand sign to Scar and then heads over and attacks a different thug.

Scar Bite: 1d20 + 7 - 1 ⇒ (16) + 7 - 1 = 22

Technically +2 more damage since it was a single primary attack (similar to a 2 handed weapon)

Moving past his companions, Brachar hefts his dwarven longhammer. He can feel every crack, ever divot in the well worn handle that he has used since his youth. Shouldering the haft, the hammer head held high in the air, Brachar swings as hard as he can at the nearest cultist attack one with heart on it

Longhammer + PA: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Longhammer Damage: 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (1, 1) + 9 = 11

His excitement at finally attacking again quickly dissipates as his hammer swing well wide of his intended target.

"Their cluster formation makes a pit seem obvious," the wizard observes before quickly casting the spell.

Ok. I was assuming those were things we were doing before rolling initiative. In that case I never would have drawn it, as it's 1 full round to cast Infernal Healing.

This was right before the Initiative roll, I said that everyone put your characters into position, no more than one more. They mist was set to end after a minute of entering and no one knew when it would lift. you can wait in the back to cast the spell, but you have the wand in your hand.

dice:

Max moves in and deals with a cultist really quick.
Thael conjures a pit, that quickly traps a cultist and a gnome.
falling damage to Queck: 1d6 ⇒ 2
falling damage to the cultist: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Ginko taps Brachar on the shoulder and gives him a boost.
Scar moves up and quickly dispatches the cultist still up.
Brachar goes forward to take care of a cultist and stops when he notices that no cultists are left on the main floor.

The Cultist in the hole Stands up and looks at you. "You arsh hats, what did you do to my friend?" asking even as you look down at him.

Right after he said that, you all fell like a grim energy is washing over you. I need a fort save from everyone, DC 13 for half.
grim energy damage: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 5) = 6

Viliym was apparently cleaning his glasses, as he's the last to react. Putting them back on, he moves 30ft into the room and holds out his wand of Magic Missile.

Ready an action to zap anything that makes a hostile move on myself or an ally.

I couldn't make a DC 20 Perception even if my unlife depended on it.

Thael grimaces as the dark energy rolls over him, taking the full brunt of it.

"Surrender, or your lives are forfeit!" he exclaims as he draws a wand and prepares to attack any who don't comply.

readied magic missile: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Since I can't see either target, I'll just ready a magic missile against them when the spell ends (in 3 rounds)
