I'm always good for playing Dave

Gunk |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

I'm just assembling furniture this weekend. A LOT of furniture. Man, one day I'd like to meet the guy who makes the instructions for these furniture kits and kind of punch him in the mouth!! Lol just kidding, but I have silently cursed them out a few times today.

Hajar nar Jundi |

Hajar shouts his warcry and charges the beast!
Dawnflower!
Tempest Charging: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15 damage: 2d4 + 8 ⇒ (1, 1) + 8 = 10
This will provoke an AoO if the beast is indeed large sized. Also,I call bullspit on the forum roller

GM: Dave the Dwarf |

The Ogre is Unarmed and Unarmored that does not stop it from rushing into the fray.
As you charge in it throws a Punch with its meaty fist. (Improved unarmed attack)
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8 You easily dodge the slow attack.
Tempest hits home and cuts into the stomach of the Ogre.
10 damage done to the Ogre.
In return the Ogre attempts to Grapple you. (Improved Grapple)
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15 He is barely able to get you wrapped up in his fists.

Gunk |

Gunk assesses the danger of the situation and then his hands become a blur as he quickly mixes up a foul looking concoction and drinks it down.
*casts shield*
Then he moves into position behind Hajar and says Careful Hajar, this one looks clumsy but if he gets a hold on you he looks like he would tear your arms off and then beat you with them!

Hajar nar Jundi |

Grunting with the exertion of keeping the massive ogre's hands off his windpipe Hajar replies
Yes, well I would appreciate your most valuable assistance Master Gunk
Dave, could I ignite myself and start meleeing the ogre with my fist....and would that provoke AoO's each turn?

Leave us or face the deadly power of electricity! He whips his staff around, and electricity sparks around, a few bolts coming near the bug bears and another blasting the wall behind the ogre, then congealing into one shocking mass that errupts upward towards Kardswann. Much electricity strikes around him, but two bolts actually connect with his body.
Magic Missile: 2d4 + 2 ⇒ (3, 3) + 2 = 8
Kehehe, disguised magic missile... And most if not all of these brutes should have no idea that electricity isn't silent! Kardswann might, but he's to far away to hear the stuff down below and hopefully in to much pain to worry about hearing the electricity vs feeling it for the close stuff.
Come down and face me Kardswann, or I will rend from you the devil from afar, one way or another. Come down Kardswann! Will you be seen as a coward?!

Hajar nar Jundi |

I think this begs the question. Why are you attacking Kardswann when there is a much much more immediate threat? And I feel your playing pretty fast and loose with the action economy. 2 spells in one round? 2 standard actions in one round?

Hajar nar Jundi |

Self immolation as a wrestling tactic? I've never heard of such things! lol
Also, totally metagaming but go ahead and firebomb the ogre. Hajar is fairly resistant to fire. Also, He'll be on fire himself next round

Hajar nar Jundi |

Aren't you also resistant to fire Grim?

Gunk |

I can select up to 3 adjacent "safe squares" where no allies will take splash damage. That was the very first alchemical discovery I took.So you guys are safe. I suspect the ogre will lose his dex bonus while he is grappling?
Gunk moves over to Hajar's left and throws a bomb at the ogre.
Rng Touch vs AC: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Dmg Ref save dc 14: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (1, 2) + 3 = 6
Edit: wow, thats some fine damage! Ugh

Hajar nar Jundi |

A grappled creature cannot use Stealth to hide from the creature grappling it, even if a special ability, such as hide in plain sight, would normally allow it to do so. If a grappled creature becomes invisible, through a spell or other ability, it gains a +2 circumstance bonus on its CMD to avoid being grappled, but receives no other benefit.
Reflex: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
Hajar would take 0 damage from that bomb.

GM: Dave the Dwarf |

Since its all just for flavor I will allow it this time. Kardswann does not believe you are one of the Templar's it seems. But you have effectively gotten the bugbears into combat and Kardswann is no longer just watching now.
Kardswann grimaces as the magic missile blasts into his chest. He speaks something to an unseen figure and he disappears.
The 3 Bugbears that were also watching the fight with the Ogre grab their weapons and head into the melee after bolts of lighting stream toward them.

GM: Dave the Dwarf |

Round 1 Summary:
The Ogre moves forward.
Hajar Charges and lands a blow while dodging the Ogre's fist.
The Ogre grapples Hajar.
Grim moves behind the Ogre and stabs him.
Raj keeps his illusion going for just a bit longer and casts magic missile at Kardswann 2 stories up. Your illusion fades because you are not concentrating on it anymore.
Gunk throws a fire bomb at the Ogre and Hajar takes no damage.
The Bugbears take double move to get onto the stage. Surrounding Grim and getting in melee with Gunk.
Naziri and Leyli can both still take round 1 actions.

Hajar nar Jundi |

Kill the Ogre, kill it dead please

Hajar nar Jundi |

Well before the reroll she would just melee like a champ. But now? Probably use her storm power, which RAW does nonlethal damage but seems stupid so I hope your OK with it doing lethal damage. Naziri will prolly be meleeing also. His bowshots aren't as effective as his melee abilities

GM: Dave the Dwarf |

Yea lets do this. This is supposed to be a high PBP and its been slowing down a lot. DMNPC incomming.
Naziri will charge in and attack the ogre
1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14 Even without Dex I gave this ogre a 15 AC so that still misses.
Leyli does her storm attack. 1d20 ⇒ 12Hits
1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
The Ogre goes down and releases Hajar.
Round 2 Start.

Al-Akim Naziri |

here guys. Haven't leveled yet, but I can hopefully get that done today.
Naziri, was caught slightly off guard by the brazen nature of the Ogre. Seeing his allies now caught in a pitched battle with the monster, the Ranger charges and swings his falchion mightily.
attack: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 5 + 2 = 27
damage: 2d4 + 8 ⇒ (1, 3) + 8 = 12
crit confirm?: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 5 + 2 = 23
crit damage: 2d4 + 8 ⇒ (2, 2) + 8 = 12

Hajar nar Jundi |

Once the large beast releases him Hajar yells at the Bugbears and charges the one closest to Gunk. I think its 10ft but there aren't any squares, if not 10' then its -2 to attack
النسور اتخاذ عينيك
Tempest Charge: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16
Tempest Slash: 2d4 + 8 ⇒ (2, 2) + 8 = 12

Hajar nar Jundi |

No thats fine, gonna be smiting soon. These rolls are killing me.

Hajar nar Jundi |

You cannot 5' step and move in the same round. One or the other. But yes, 5' steps do not provoke, Grim can probably also use Acrobatics to avoid AoO from movement.

Leyli Wildspeaker |

Sorry guys it has been a busy weekend,
Leyli was able to fend off the ogre with her weather manipulating abilities,
"Bugbears!" says Leyli as she moves within range and unleashes another set of barrage,
Storm Burst (3 left): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
