Maximo Interresante |
Initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
Maximo is still recovering from having his bell rung by Wreck for the second time. Blinking bleary-eyed at the leopards, he exclaims, "What is this!? Where did those four creatures come from?"
Wreck |
Wreck looks at them, and readied his greataxe
Wreck don't care, Wreck can get furry warm coat!
Ouch ... i love animals, especially big cats.... i hate you Wreck...
Ciarra |
flat-footed AC: 14 Normal AC:15 CMD:11 ...oh dear
Ciarra falls backwards as the snow leopard pounces on her, it's claws rending large gashes in her left arm and down her right side. The leopard has her well and truely in his grasp as he sinks his teeth into her left shoulder. A piercing shriek emanates from underneath the leopard as Ciarra struggles to free herself.
Initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15
I'm guessing it's claw, claw, bite?

Alie Saechel |
Aie tries to break the grapple of the feline, knowing without her friends she was in a whole lot of trouble.
CMB 1d20 ⇒ 5
Ciarra |
Ciarra scrabbles around in the dirt trying to break free. Feeling her hands brush over a twig she has an idea. She casts spark on the twig she's holding in her hand and hopes that the leopard, suddenly finding a flame beneath it will let go.

Concentration: 1d20 + 3 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 + 3 = 16
DaWay |
Gregor brings the morning star down onto the cat with a sickening thud, suddenly Ciarra feels the jaw loosen and release however she now feels the weight of the feline on her slender frame.
Alie unable to free herself feels the cat beginning to take its claws across her abdomen in a shredding motion.
CMB: 1d20 + 9 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 9 + 5 = 17
damage: 1d6 + 3 + 2d3 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 3 + (3, 3) + 6 = 17
Pretty sure I calculated that right, full CMB +5, that passes full damage from natural weapons. Please feel free to correct if I did that worng.
Pathfinders you are up.
Maximo Interresante |
Grab and Rake are tricky abilities. I'm not sure, but I think that a creature with both doesn't use it's CMB for an all-in-one attack, but rather gets to make 2 rake attacks as soon as a grab attack succeeds (which probably should have been last round), then makes normal attacks plus 2 rake attacks in succeeding rounds where it maintains the grapple.
Maximo Interresante |
Before he could raise a shout of alarm, much less a proper battle-cry for Taldor, or even his sword, the fight was over.
"By Shelyn!" Maximo rushed to Alie's side with his wand of healing and began waving it over her wounds. "Wake up, my dear. You must survive to see Gilded Oppara again."
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Alie Saechel |
"Thanks, Maximo. I feel really light headed," the gnome mutters, freshly healed from the shredding she received. "I do want to see Oppara again."

A search of the camp reveals that the campsite has not seen much activity in recent years. The local farmers have had very little reason to maintain the campsite, since they no longer have any dealings with the monks. The guides refuse to travel farther, rightfully believing that the higher one climbs, the more there is to fear beyond mere snow leopards. Neverhteless the guides do agree to wait for your return from the monastery. Though the guides have not been to the monastery themselves, they have made the pilgrimage to the Two Brothers once, many years ago. The two guides can provide the PCs with simple maps and directions so that the PCs should not get lost en route, as well as a description of the major obstacles and landmarks they are likely to encounter along the path including a cliff cave, the Path of Many Shrines, the chain bridge across a sprawling crevasse, and the Two Brothers; they do not know about any of the creatures along the way nor
the collapsed state of the bridge.
TALDOR: While the guides go about preparing the camp, Xue Ho whistles a simple melody as he checks and cleans several climbing pitons. Knowledge Local check please.
Alie Saechel |
"Interesting. I'm sure there will be more clues to follow, friend Maximo. Stay on your toes, and I'll try and do the same...so long as you all keep those damn leopards off me."
Alie Saechel |
"Thank you big guy...that would be appreciated.". Alie walks by and high fives the huge warrior, which was a low five for him. Gotta keep that one on my side!
DaWay |
After traveling for 1 hour from the base camp, the mountain route takes you through a narrow valley, which terminates in a rock wall. A large crack, forty feet up the wall, looks large enough to allow an adult human through. Several small cracks and holes dot the entire surface of the rock wall. A rock overhang, ten feet above the gash, acts as a natural roof, sheltering the immediate area from the elements.
Maximo Interresante |
"Beautiful lady, are you still injured?" Maximo asks of Ciarra.
Did Ciarra get any healing? Maximo was tending to Alie, who seemed to have gotten the worst of it. If not, here are a few CLWs. Are we resting before heading up the mountain? And are we in a rush? Last, do we have any other healers besides Maximo?
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Edit: since we are moving on I'll use CLW instead of Lay on Hands.
Maximo Interresante |
With those rolls, probably only needed 2 charges, assuming she was still injured.
"So, do we climb then?" Maximo begins preparing rope and pitons. "I must admit I was as nimble as a goat in my youth." He chuckles, looking more like and old variety now.
Alie Saechel |
"Im not a good climber. I'll need a bit of an assist," Alie admits honestly,,after looking at the climb that faced them.
Maximo Interresante |
"Hmmm.." Maximo ponders loudly, then sizes up Wreck. "If we can get our impressive friend here up there then I believe he could likely pull us up one at a time. Perhaps even all at once!"
It's the cliffs of insanity and I'm thinking Wreck is looking a lot like Fezzik!
Wreck |
Wreck nods, as he begins to dig through his backpack
Wreck has some nice strong rope here, Wreck climb up and throw down rope?
He wraps the rope around him, and begins his climb, after removing his armor
Climb: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29 Wreck is a master climber!!
Ciarra |
“Thank you Wreck”
Ciarra said as she got up shakily after he pulled the body of the leopard off of her
“Yes I am still injured Maximo, but here use mine instead. I always keep a few cure light wands with me”
She smiles weakly as she accepts the healing, thanking Maximo for his attendance.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
I just need one more
Ciarra is also a healer, in fact that is her main function. She pretty much sucks at everything else.
As they reach the stone wall Ciarra looks up at it despondently.
“I’m not such a great climber either. I think Wreck assisting us is a great idea. I’ll go second last in case anyone falls. I think a strong, nimble person with more fighting skills than me should go last. I’ll tie up Wrecks’ armour in my cloak so that it’s easier for him to pull up”
She bends down and starts packing the armour in her cloak and finishes by tying it off tightly

Wreck Perception: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (7) - 1 = 6
Wreck climbs effortlessly up to the top of the cliff.
Wreck Perception again: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (10) - 1 = 9
Wreck ties the rope off and tosses it down to the rest of his group to ascend the Cliff of Insanity. The group gets ready to make it's climb when a sticky filament comes sailing towards Wreck and

Alie

Ranged Touch on Alie: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24

Crag Fishers initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 91d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Wreck |
Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
In Wrecks turn, Wreck growls and wrestles with the thing.
Silly snake thing! Let Wreck go!
CMB: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24
Maximo Interresante |
"By Shelyn, what's this? Alie, hold on!"
A little confused. Is Alie dragged to the top this round or just 10'? If it's just 10, then Maximo will attempt to jump up and grab Alie, either pulling her free or riding to the top with her (preferably the latter).
Initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
CMB to grab Alie or whatever this might require: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
DaWay |

Sorry for the brief post. I am on the ferry going into work for a few hours and posting from my phone.
