Dwalindor
fort,hardy,: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (13) + 19 = 32 +2 vs poison, immune gas
Tariq, we are coming...

Its all very scientific-like. The more camel and bean burritos I eat, the more resistant I become to toxic fumes!

Will, Ozymandias : 1d20 + 14 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 14 + 5 = 28
Will, Ozymandias : 1d20 + 14 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 14 + 5 = 32
Will, Shiberus : 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Will, Shiberus : 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
” I could really go for a bean burrito right now. We could at least have some ale if we get out of here alive.“
He realizes that Shiberus won’t be very good with gasses and unsummons him.

Well at least you guys are now free - so 1 point of Wisdom damage a piece I believe!
After clearing the winding tunnel you enter into a grand chamber where stout pillars carved with hieroglyphs support the ceiling. On raised niches in the north and south walls are statues of winged lions, though the forms are oddly distorted. The walls of the chamber are painted with scenes of smiling peasants harvesting wheat as flocks of crows tear bits of flesh from their bleeding bodies.
The entire floor of the hall is painted with a dizzying and confused conglomeration of overlapping arcane writing and symbols in a nauseating mixture of colors. The sound of wind comes from the west, where a balcony overlooks an open area.

Tariq, I think this place was decorated by that crazy chick you met last year. These colors are making me wanna hurl.
Dwalindor checks out the lions.
perception: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (1) + 23 = 24 +2 vs stonework

Tariq and Baset |

What exactly are you looking at, dwarf? This color scheme matches like every article of clothing you have ever worn.
Tariq and Baset check for traps in the area, especially the walls.
perception: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (2) + 18 = 20
dang, Tariq and Dwalindor would do better to pay attention and stop yacking so much...
Ozy and Noonan. Do you know anything about these paintings with the crows?

DMummy |

Amazingly both Tariq and Dwalindor notice that each of the niches appear to have a compartment buried within them.
Noonan, you know that the designs on the floor are not historical or religious in nature but perhaps a more arcane-minded person could study them to obtain more information.

”Wow. These crows are really going to make me sleep well tonight. I don’t know too much about the painting, but I can summon something that can. “
Ozy begins to summon another Leonal.
Knowledge,Arcana : 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (7) + 19 = 26

![]() |

So whatcha think it is, guys? Should I smash it?

DMummy |

Ah, I see it didn't post. Fun.
Ozy's summon informs him that these symbols and forms are a jumbled variety of poorly executed or strangely altered summoning and protection circles of archaic pedigree.
As you look out over the core of the crypt you see a yawning chasm below, and have to think about your next move.

![]() |

”Yeah, that would be handy. Ozy may have his friend Carry some of us. But I don’t like being carried so I am glad I bought me these fancy flying boots back In town. “ he looks down at his winged boots
”So Tariq , what do you have? “

DMummy |

A sudden crash of thunder reverberates from above, and a flash of light briefly illuminates a circular shaft, massive in diameter and of indeterminate height, its pale walls made of smooth, unblemished limestone. Clouds roil in the upper reaches of the great chamber, and a chill, unceasing wind howls mournfully.
Does Tariq's gear meet WBL? If not there is always...the climb check.

![]() |

Does anyone see a door at the top? I ain't spotting one down here, but that sure would make this a bunch easier. Dwalindow calls out as he starts to circle the edifice to see if there is anything to be seen closer to the ground.
About how high are we talking here? 100' or 1000' or too far to tell?
He scratches his beard as he considers the height and best approach.

Tariq and Baset |

I have Tariq entered into herolab for the most part (at his current 13th level). I am not sure if he'd have a preference on items, I will probably boost his stats/saves - generic purchases. I will add some way for him to fly.
One of my favorites is figurine golden griffin, but that is not for everyone.
Indeed my stout friend. Ascending to such heights is not for those of meager means. If we must fight a battle at the top before we are able to enter, we will want to be prepared. Sending a scout up, if not too high, would be prudent.

![]() |

So are we going up? Or down? I always like down.
While Tariq digs out his new ebony fly figurine to give him and Baset a lift, the surly dwarf looks into the shaft, then activates his flying boots and starts to fly into the shaft to see what he can see.
perception: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (2) + 23 = 25
Fly to the middle of the shaft first, raging after his boots give him flight....

DMummy |

Dwalindor, please note that you are under the affect of severe wind.
The tough Pahmet flies into the storm and looks to see what he can - there are a few balconies he can see at the cardinal points at various heights around the cylinder as the lightning flashes brightly to give him a glimpse of the other areas.
You're currently 200 feet up!

![]() |

Dwalindor looks around and notices the balconies, before he flies back to the group.
I saw some balconies. Not sure how far up or down. But we might be able to land there.
Balconies more than 50' up or down on any of the 4 cardinal points....did it look like the balconies were open or enclosed?
But it was dang windy in there. More windy than Noonan preaching about the virtues of prune juice. Should we get ready and just pick one to try or anyone have better way to pick which one?

![]() |

Dwalindor nods to Noonan.
If everyone is ready, the place is windy, but I think we can make the closest ones coming from the east. Follow me.
He leads the way and points to the closest balcony.
There!

Once everyone is assembled, Dwalindor motions with his arm....
This way, ladies!
