Oddly enough it doesn't describe the movement of the sarcophagus. I imagine it waddles though, since it's both mobile and swallows people into itself. As an aside, Albus could hit a bit less like a truck.
The sarcophagus was moving like a golem, its folded arms swinging at you but Albus's second blow crushes the cover sarcophagus and it stops moving after the tremendous hit he just laid into it.
Now you just need a way to deal with the rising water and malfunctioning magical trap.

Rameth the Delver |

Rameth quickly tries to examine the trap mechanism
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20

Azubah |

"What was that thing made of, wood or stone? If it is wood then it might float and we could hold onto it like a floating log. That would keep our heads above water for a bit longer." It is probably stone.
"Aroden, preserve us in our quest for your glory!" Azubah's shouted supplication echoes off of the stone walls.
Where did the water start coming in from, small holes in the wall or one large one?

Dwalindor continues breathing heavily from fatigue

Rameth the Delver |

note I can disarm magical traps

Azubah |

Suddenly a thought struck Azubah. "We have the acid! We can pour it on the door-lock and get out!"

"Angel Eyes" Albus |

As an aside, Albus could hit a bit less like a truck.
But...but...but... that's Albus thing!
/sadfaceWhatever we do we better do it fast, swimming is for the fish.
Azubah my good man, could you spare a heal for me? That thing was strong...

Azubah |

"Oh, yes" Azubah replies, Albus's words bringing him back into focus.
"By the grace of Aroden" he says as he holds his hand to Albus's wound.

Rameth
While you're trying to disable the trapping mechanism the water eventually stops rising at about two feet. You're not certain that what you're doing actually fixed the issue.
As Rameth works the water stops rising at around two feet in the room. After a few minutes you notice the water is starting to drain through the floor.
Dwalindor, please roll Perception.

Rameth the Delver |

What the?...I am not going to argue with success here, but I don't think that I did that.

Dwalindor stops breathing heavily and looks around at the walls and floor.
perception : 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17 +2 bonus vs stone

Azubah |

Azubah drops to his knees with head bowed and says "Praise Aroden!"
He then stands and informs the others "I don't have any power left to heal, my magic is now nearly spent. I can work minor feats but that is all." Just cantrips from here on
"Rameth, can you open the door from this side?"

Rameth the Delver |

I would assume that I can. That was stressful.
Rameth takes out his flask and takes a hit of it. Then he moves to check the lock.
Everyone search this room, see if there is anymore loot.

Azubah focuses his senses on the surroundings but he cannot concentrate. Instead, his thoughts are a whirl. Close proximity with death does wonders to distract a man.

DMummy |

The water is draining through the floor but you don't see a way to unlock the doors. There aren't any handles but you could try to pry the doors open.
Dwalindor notices the wear on the stone on the west wall looks different from the rest of the room. Probably a false wall if he's any judge; inferior human builders never do things correctly.

"Angel Eyes" Albus |

Albus searches the room for anything of value and then goes to the false wall.
Perc to search the room: 1d20 ⇒ 19

Maybe we can exit through this passage. Is there any way to open it? Can we break it through?

I probably will not be able to post tomorrow. Please DMPC Azubah as needed.

Rameth the Delver |

Well hopefully there is little left in here. I wonder if the other groups are having this much tousble

Rameth the Delver |

Rameth moves up to the next door and checks it for traps

Rameth the Delver |

Rameth takes the time, if no one objects.
Lets take all we can guys, no reason to rush right now, the water has halted.

![]() |

Dwalindor shrugs and starts scraping as well.
"Hey, ain't no dwarf gonna pass up free gold."

Azubah |

Azubah lends a hand with the removal of the gold leaf.
"Hopefully, the rest of this excursion will be more profitable in terms of gold and knowledge."

Rameth the Delver |

Rameth leads the motley crew down the path behind the hidden door. Club in hand, since his daggers are no long sharp he does not carry one, but reloads his wrist sheathes.
He checks the door for traps 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14 then assuming it is not locked he pushes it open.

![]() |

Dwalindor moves along with axe in hand. Ready to hit something with it...sharp or not.
He grumbles...
"Better be something good this way...and not some crazy statues! "

Azubah |

"Let's start with the chest on the left wall that is closest to us. This way we don't go far into the room and let something pop out behind us from another box."
"May Aroden's vision reveal that which is hidden to mortal eyes."
Azubah casts Detect Magic on the chest in D-E1.

Rameth the Delver |

doesnt he know aroden is dead? Rameth mutters.
Then he proceeds to check the box for traps before opening
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14

Rameth the Delver |
