Believe that is 108 damage before DR Dwalindor?

Looks like more than 108...4 good hits there. Oh, I guess you are right. I was seeing the d243 and thought that was damage at first...
but the +24 would confirm regardless! :)
Oh and did she roll the d10 from her spring attack hit?
raging hp+DR: 205 - 30 - 43 - 23 - 12 + 6 + 6 + 6 + 6 = 121
Dwalindor takes a beating, surprised she is still standing, let alone dishing it out.
Still want to play, do you?
He will step over and try to give a flank to Tariq.

Wow swings for the fences...hits big or misses big. No middle.

Less offensive than I thought Noonan! But as it turns out unneccesary.
Dwalindor feels the energy of Noonan's healing spell kniting flesh and rebuilding muscle and fueled by the innate rage of his Pahmet ancestors he roars as he bounds through the air swinging his earthbreaker around him repeatedly. The hammer slams twice into the djinn's waivering form and as it does the explosion of force blasts the outsiders body into a blast of sand that goes raining down on top of the floor in a coruscating wave of black grit.
The heavy breathing of the dwarven barbarian is the only sound that echoes in the tomb as you wait for the other blow to drop but it doesn't.
Shad looks uncomfortably around for a moment.
"Was that it?"

![]() |

You got it! Dwalindor strides forward with hammer in hand, then pauses to check the body for any lootage.
perception: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (6) + 23 = 29

DMummy |

God help me.
Dwalindor finds the falchion the djinn used to hit him along with a shiny golden ring.
It's a ring of freedom of movement. Which Dwalindor definitely needs.
Inside you find the walls of this circular chamber are coated with white plaster. A life-sized statue of an imposing pharaoh, his stern face deep
in contemplation and his hands cradling what appears to be an entire city, stands near the southern end of the room.
Make a Perception check please!

Noonan3 |

Spellcraft: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (2) + 19 = 21
That is a Ring of Freedom of Movement. Dwal, you certainly need that. It will keep you from getting stuck if someone hits you with a spell.
Perception: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (10) + 24 = 34

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

”Wow! The ring will great on my hairy knuckles. You can have this oversized sword, Noonan. Besides, who ever heard of a self respecting barbarian using a sword too large for them just to look iconic? “ he smiles

Tariq starts to move the pieces of the city around and has trouble completing the puzzle.
Jeshura sneers at eh puzzle when she sees it.
"The nerve of that man is astounding. The capital of the Shory empire in his hands; ludicrous."
She pushes Tariq aside and begins to rearrange the pieces herself and as it does the top pops open.

![]() |

Lol - how long ago was that in real life?

![]() |

Dwalindor scratches his beard as the wise folks play with their model toys.
I thought them there keys were bound with power. Like those statues we found that brought us to the Trenches?
Can we put the key into a slot to empower like different forces within the Trenches? Like waking up some magical spirit or spell it once was bound to help us, maybe?

![]() |

Dwalindor kicks a stone.
I am hangry. When are we ready to go after this Hakotep?

![]() |

Works for me!
Dwalindor grins and then really wonders if a sandwich is nearby
So where to next? And is she going with us? Shad and Tariq have been awfully quiet of late. Makes me think they are plotting something against me.

![]() |

Vampires have teeth....that they ain't be settin' on the nightstand, Noonan! the dwarf chuckles.
Once ready and wrapped up with any fancy 'brainy' stuff, Dwalidor will lead the group back with his uber back-tracking skills in the desert.

The four bold adventurers haul the key out of the last tomb of the Akhumen and trek back towards the center of the ruins. Noonan takes the key and grins widely as he places it in the center of the Sun Disk.
The huge disk of gray basalt begins to crackle as long-dormant energy begins to gather. You watch in awe as you see the Sekrepheres begin to glow at first before light explodes upwards into broad columns of electricity - the thunderclaps from the discharges explode in your ears, your bones shaking with the plaza as Noonan grasps the key and focuses his mind on the target of the Slave Trenches - Hakotep's tomb.
As the lightning builds you see energy start to spill out from the bricks in the walls of the trenches, the eerie blue white light behind them humming as the mighty magic of the place begins to unravel.
Shad looks to the side and shouts a warning - the spirits bound to the trenches can clearly sense that Hakotep serves a much different pharaoh than they and they begin gathering themselves to stop you.
Shad calls for the lot of you to defend Noonan as he unleashes a blast of energy at a flaming figure that takes a tentative step towards you - an ossumental, fused magical spirits animating the bones of the long dead.
They start to charge towards you screeching as the power around you builds and the four free figures spring into action - Jeshura's arrows, Tariq's sword and dagger flash taking down target after target while Shad's magical blasts and Dwalindor's earthbreaker take swathes of enemies away from the mishapen dwarves climbing towards you. The crowd of ossumentals is easy to stop at first but they come faster with greater numbers and gradually you all are pressed back towards the center of the disk.
Finally with a great prayer invoking Sarenrae Noonan cries out and lifts the key over his head and a bolt of lightning fifty feet wide explodes from the disk and screams across the desert sky. The ossumentals, so close to overwhelming you, explode into dust as the magical backlash echoes throughout the Slave Trenches and you all are flung from your feet.
When you shake your heads and regain your sight a great glass scar stretches across the desert, racing north and west, towards the heart of Osirion - the capital city of Sothis.

![]() |

Well, Noonan. Now you really done it. the dwarf waits to see what transpires with the lightning strikes down around them.
What are this dang things, Shad? Friends of yours or Tariqs? It sure don't look like no friend of mine.
With the epic explosion the dwarf lowers his gore covered hammer.
So, are they gone? Ale time? Or what?

Ibrahim the Grey |

You hear a familiar voice behind you chuckle.
"You don't know how...right you are my friend."
Ibrahim, or Azghaad, is standing on the disk looking at the glass column before you.
"Haktop alwaysss...did thingsss flassshy. He never could...contain himssself."
"Fortunately now that you have finissshed thisss...ritual the upssstart isss now vulnerable. But sssince I doubt you have the ability to gate I have come to collect you. And I brought a new...companion to help you. Hakotep'sss tomb is quite...deadly and you may need another pair of handsss."

![]() |

Dwalindor scowls
”You again? I guess this means it is not ale time. “
He shakes his head
”Gates? What is it this time, Ibrahim?
It seems you usually manage to bring us trouble. What is this of a companion to help? All these missions are taking their toll on our members. So this better not be no slacker. “

![]() |

A middle-aged human garbed in robes bearing a glowing rune on his forehead steps forward. With a bow he speaks elatedly.
”I have finally found you!“
He pauses in reflection
”I apologize. I am Ozymandius, a Wanderer from Wati since the time of the great swarms of undead raiding the city as the summoned army of the Sky Pharoah.
I lost my best friend in the attacks before a band, you band of heroes stopped the raid.“
He smiles as he continues...
I have finally found you. With help from my special hound friend and ally.
I have been training as a summoner and wandering the desert trying to find you band of heroes to aid the cause and end the corruption of these maniacal pharaohs. “

![]() |

Dwalindor studies the new human traveler, with his arms crossed in skepticism.
You look like a seasoned traveler...by appearances at least. But what of this hound? Is it some kind of riding dog?
It better be a bit tougher than some common cur or it ain't gonna last two minutes where we are going.

![]() |

Ozymandias replies to the dwarf
”I assure you he is not a normal dog by any stretch of the imagination. If you have a minute I will call him from his plane.“
The human begins a ritual and the rune on his forehead glows blue for a bit.
There is a swirling of sand and crackle of planar energy a hulking three-headed ‘dog’ steps through. A matching blue rune glows on each of the snarling canine heads.
”This is Shiberus. Say hello to our new friends.“

Ibrahim the Grey |

"Excellent, I can sssee that you will all be fast...friendsss. Now I have only to sssend you to ssstop Hakotep and hisss...ssschemesss."
Ibrahim flickers and for a moment you see not the stooped, ancient old man Ibrahim but a powerful spellcaster, a king in fact and name - Azghaad, first pharaoh of Osirion.
He gestures and a ripple appears in space in front of you. Beyond the portal in space lies the expanse of Sothis - fires dot the city and the giant shell of the Spawn of Rovagug that covers the royal complex shimmers with protective magics. A pyramid lies in the cultivated lands surrounding the capital with mounds of earth around it, undead circling the place in the sky.
"But I am not without...meansss to help. Pleassse tell me isss there anything thisss humble...merchant can do for you?"

![]() |

Dwalindor considers how many barrels of ale he could request, but then figures that would be too much for the old snake-oil peddler to provide.
Like what can you get your hands on immediately if we are in a hurry? It seems like undead may be a problem. And you mentioned something about them thar gates. I don't like the sounds of that. Do we have any protections against wherever that gate leads?

![]() |

Noonan, not that I hope to have to use anything like it. But what about some of those raise dead, breath of life type spells? If we get into too much trouble in a pinch? Do we need to bring some diamond dust? I heard that is needed from my cousin Grimdoc and they could not revive him.
