Dwalindor the Pahmet |
I keep expecting you to throw your hammer on a giant set of scales and demand more treasure.
Wait, I can do that??? LOL
Noonan3 |
A vote for scales!

Will save, Shiberus : 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
Shiberus still scrambles away.
Ozymandias looks after the fleeting Eidolon and calls it.
Bad dog! Get back here this instant%
He uses his summoning transposition to swap places with the Eidolon, leaving him in the hall and the dog back in the room.
Dwalindor the Pahmet |
But it can climb and jump :)
DMummy |
I am not that mean...since Shiberus doesn't have a climb speed.
The sphinx screams as Tariq and Ba'set recognize their panic is magically induced and pull themselves together before flinging themselves off the cliff.
Meanwhile in a burst of colorless magic Ozymandius rips opens space and propels himself to Shiberus's location, causing his eidolon to reappear as the rift closes behind him.
Dwalindor follows the fan of Shad's flames licking over the mummy and spin his hammer around his head again to gain momentum. He slams the hammer into the sphinx's body, flips himself over to somersault and bring the weapon's head down onto the body then slams the hammer into the sphinx's leg. The bones crack and dried skin explodes outwards in a noxious cloud.
Meanwhile Noonan calls on the holy magic of his goddess to flood the area with powerful positive energy that eats away at the sphinx.
The undead creature hisses and backs away, then chants a terrifying magic spell - to your horror the ashes, boneshards and dust that litter the ground reverse as the mummy's form knits itself back together.
"You are more powerful than I expected - but I will still destroy you."
Shendakut retreats five feet and casts harm on himself.

Noonan infuses the air with his prayers and cups his hands around his mouth and utters a note of pure magic, directing the force at Shendakut. The mummy shudders as its undead magic fights against the magic trying to fracture its skeleton as Dwalindor steps up.
The dwarf whirls his hammer again slamming the weapon again and again into the mummy. The heavy weapon strikes at the mummy, exploiting the cracks created by Noonan's spell until he grunts and puts his whole weight and the supernatural rage of the Pahmet in an overhead blow that explodes the mummy's skull into fragments of bone and necromantic sparks.
The body of the mummy slumps and falls onto the floor - with the dark energy of the Forgotten Pharaoh no longer keeping the body together the millenia-old linen, bones and muscles decay into dust that blows away in the wind stirred by the storm in the column behind you.
The glowing green pyramid sits before you, pulsing with powerful magic.

Shedakut has a belt of giant strength +4, a headband of alluring charisma +4, ring of protection +2, a gold unholy symbol of Set (worth 50 gp), a vial of eye ointment (worth 250 gp), and a gold headpiece (worth 700 gp) on him.
The words “Open in the name of Hakotep” are inscribed in Ancient Osiriani around the base of the pyramid.
Unfortunately Noonan's extensive work with the pyramid however fails to yield its secrets.
You can make Knowledge (Arcana) check on the pyramid as well.
Dwalindor the Pahmet |
”I am pretty enough for the both of us! And that lady ain’t been around in months anyhow. But if you needs the belt to lift your aged body up out if bed, I ain’t gonna argue none. “
Dwalindor chuckles
DMummy |
Shad is able to spend his time reaching deep into the magic of the pyramid.
The pyramid appears to be a control device for the attack pyramids floating above Sothis - orders are given from this pyramid to a corresponding receptor in the pyramid that allows Hakotep to direct his forces.
Additionally some sort of keying function is set - perhaps a corresponding lock is set to a control word or magical spell tied deep in the pyramid itself.
Dwalindor the Pahmet |
Alright. Let's rock back out if there ain't nothing left to see here.
Dwarf picks up his hammer and anything expensive looking from the creature/room and departs.
I am assuming nothing key-like on the sphinx?
Dwalindor the Pahmet |
Were there any turns or side passages, or are we back to the central shaft? If the latter, can we go up or down and how many landings in either direction?
Ale? Heck yeah! But I bets Noonan is gonna want to find that key Shad was yapping about. So after!!!

At the base of the great pyramid’s south face is a dark stone block the size of a large doorway. Carved into its surface at eye level are hieroglyphs surrounding an irregular, blob-shaped design in putrid green.
The Ancient Osiriani hieroglyphs read, “Slake the thirst of the one honored by this Water Crypt.”
Roll Knowledges! Planes or Religion
Dwalindor the Pahmet |
”Noonan that looks like yer cup of tea. I ain’t thirsty for knowledge…just ale. “
DMummy |
Apparently my normal browser isn't letting me login to Paizo. Fun.
The asymmetrical green blob is the symbol of a legendary piscodaemon named Aluash Imnah, normally satisfied by its adherents or petitioners with an offering of liquid.
Another roll to determine the required offering! Or you can wing it, which could be fun.
Dwalindor the Pahmet |
So Noonan...I hear them gears a whirling. What's you thinking this green blob does?
The dwarf scratched his beard while waiting.

Noonan searches through his memories and back in the days when he was but a neophyte learning the ways of Sarenrae he remembers the teenage almost-a-priest teaching him droning on about demons and daemons.
While the teenage Sarenrite spent a lot of time talking about succubi, mariliths and erinyes (probably too much given the fact he was replaced with a much older, retired priest who was long married with seven children and eighteen grandchildren whose names Noonan could not help but memorize along with birthdays, ailments and one truly annoying broken engagement - it would have spared Noonan three weeks of complaints if the silly girl hadn't run off with the paladin and married the grandson, who was a nice enough boy even with the huge, unfortunate mole on his nose) he distinctly remembers that Aluash demanded either blood or unholy water to "slake his thirst".
