Ok, then I guess we are ready. Right Tariq? Right Ozzy?
Its ok if I call you Ozzy, right? No, ok Ozzy, thanks for lettin' me know!

![]() |

Ibrahim, I thought of a few purchases and upgrades. I hope you can find them in your supplies. he hands the list to the old merchant.

![]() |

Dwalindor sighs
Noonan, don't forget your oinment for your creaking back this time! Last time we had to listen to that bone-on-bone grinding and lost any chance of surprise.
Dwalindor looks over to Ozymandius
Hey, Ozy-the-new-guy!
Are you gonna buy anything from this geezer or did you already on the way here? All this shopping is just making us late for ale time afterwards.

![]() |

Ozymandius looks at the dwarf with a smirking face
Oh, my friend, you won’t have to worry about ale time.
He starts to dig through a bag of holding strapped onto his eidolon like a saddlebag. The human pulls out several glass mugs as well as a gallon of ale.
Hopefully, this will keep you from complaining for at least five minutes. I hear from Ibrahim you always are in a grumpy mood.
He returns the items to his bag of holding, ready to get on the road.

![]() |

Wait, who said I am grumpy? Noonan, tell them I am the cheerful one in this group!!!
He looks at the ale.
I think I am liking you already, Ozy. Although, better hold onto that ale.
Hey, how much of this did you say fits in that bag? he leans over trying to look into the bag.

![]() |

See? Not grumpy. If it wasn't for my cheer, this party would be nothing but drudgery and reporting to Ibrahim. That's why we ain't none of them pathfinders either. Too much paper work!
We are lucky to even have this job. Set our own hours and take vacations. The divine healing benefits plan has improved with the old man Noonan joining the show at least. Just don't even get me started on Tariq and all his choice in dating habits! the dwarf grins.
Dwalindor is starting to look hungry or ready to move on.

![]() |

Great! So do we just step through the gate? Can we take our flying ship, Noonan? Dwalindor tries to decide from looking through the portal how far of a walk it would be.

DMummy |

I forgot you had that!
The five of you (and one tiger) sit down in your boat that rises above the sand, a cushion of air keeping the boat settled as you relax.
The gate swells and you see Ibrahim smiling as you begin to move through the swirling portal towards your target. You see the visage of wizened merchant seem to vanish in ripling scarlet magic and the immortal god-king Azghaad stands revealed as he places a hand over his heart in salute to his chosen champions.
"Fight well." His deep bass voice murmurs in your ears as the gate slams shut as you hurtle across the sands towards Hakotep's tomb.
The smooth limestone casing stones of the pyramid are pristine and intact, and hundreds of foot-long rods of black iron, arcing with electricity, protrude perpendicularly from the polished surface. THe pyramid impacted with enough force to drive the base deep under the sands and huge sand berms protrude in every direction.
The pyramid however is massive - seven hundred sixty feet each side and five hundred feet tall.
While you see no way inside three ten foot wide staircases climb up the center of three of the faces to small balconies where stone blocks seal the entrances to the pyramid, put in place on Hakotep's demise.

Dwalindor calls back to Noonan
”Now THIS is riding in style! We may not want to leave this too close. I don’t see no landing area by the pyramid. Were we supposed to bring a key or do we have to break in? “
He looks for any openings or movement
Perception : 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (19) + 23 = 42

![]() |

”Hmm. I wonder if we get into the pyramid by stopping the undead hoard or if we stop the undead hoard by doing something with the pyramid? “
The dwarf grins
”Glad I am only paid to break things and you brains can figure this out! Hah! “

![]() |

Dwalindor nods. He will motion for the ship to set nearer (50' away?) from one of the blocks and moves to investigate.
Tariq, do you see any traps here?
If nothing jumps out and grabs him and Tariq does not spot anything, the dwarf will move to the block and give it a very light tap with Amanda.
Seeing how solid this sounds. If we can't break it, we may need to bypass it.

DMummy |

From a distance the pyramid appears majestic and serene, save for the occasional arcs of electricity that dance from one iron rod to another. Resting on sandy dunes for the first time in six long millennia, the enormous structure is an achievement of ancient genius and labor, a monument to the reign of Hakotep I.
As you approach however two gargantuan black scorpions wink into existence on its slanted stone face.
They move slightly back and forth as their pincers snip at the air.
Note, the pyramid counts as uneven terrain! Also note electricity arcs nears the scorpions so beware!

”What about Ozy the new guy? Does he know about bug zappers? “
Dwalindor figures he may need to squash them the old fashioned way.

![]() |

I’m afraid I do not. However, I have friends.
He pulls out his Agathion ring and switches it with his Inevitable ring on his finger. Bright light comes from the ring as Shiberus starts to fade away. In his place, a Leonal rises from the swirling light.

![]() |

Indeed! Very handy 8th level summons are pretty potent.
Dwalindor smiles
Noonan, that new guy ain't half bad. And his friend too!
The dwarf barbarian starts to wonder if these good outsiders may take exception to some of his...less than divine habits.
Oh well, we can cross that bridge when we break it.

Technically the eidolon (and Baset for that matter) have their own initiative. But it can be GM fiat to rule they go together. In contrast, I think summons have the same init as the caster/summoner. So if Ozzy unsummons the Agathion - he can get the eidolon back, but that takes a full minnute. I may have missed if he did that.
Otherwise, eidolon is taking a planar nap someplace off-camera. :)
Let's ROCK!

Dwalindor grunts in pain as the second stinger nearly decapitated him
”Now you are making me very angry. Tariq and Ozy your pets can have the one on the left! “
Fort, hardy : 1d20 + 19 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 19 + 2 = 27

that should put him 2 shy of full hp

Ozymandius starts to cast haste, a decent amount of space between him and the action.
Let the fun begin!
The Leonal starts casting a fireball at the second, undamaged scorpion in a 15 foot by 15 foot burst.

doh! Ok, Dwalindor is not feeling so good.
Shad and Tariq! We need to put the hurtin' on these things! And fast!
