I am glad to hear that. I think I will stay with the Action grouping with summaries, it seems to smooth out the actions.

I want to see if Anton can take care of the nearby goblin so I can charge the other two without provoking.

I want to interrogate this goblin. But he's quite fragile- I can try and tie this one up and perhaps we can get the other that is running away, too. Plus, killing one in front of the other would certainly add motivation to tell us everything they know... speaking as Anton, of course.

There is only so much Tiberu will stomach. He is chaotic but chaotic good. If you tie that one up we can leave him in a cart until we clear out the city. I will see what can be done to capture the other one. As for the fragility. You can always heal him after he is tied up.


I actually think I have a bit of a problem I may need to resolve at some point: I can't actually heal as a cleric of Gorum. Only neutral clerics of neutral deities choose to channel positive or negative energy. Even neutral clerics of evil gods still channel negative energy, and they spontaneously cast harm spells, not heal. If it's ok I'll leave it as it is for now, but either Gorum will stop granting my heal requests, or I'll need to fall, swap alignment, and atone. That'd cost 2500gp in game, though, but would be interesting from a story standpoint. Maybe as a convert a high priest would offer a discount on the spell, or barter for services... Also, if I were to move too far from my CN "I don't really care what Tiberu thinks" attitude, I'd swap alignments. If that happened, I would go too far from Gorum- "1 step" within the deity mean if deity is CE, only CN and NE are ok. Even TN would be considered 2 steps.

According to the player guide Gorum is the Chaotic Neutral God of Strength, Battle and Weapons, you should be able to choose.


So he is. Whew, I had thought he was CE.

You ah looked at the chaotic evil one for the domain powers but picked Gorum.

In the Future I am thinking of rolling one Initiative for the Bad guys and one for you guys, the highest of each. If I roll both and each only get one roll it may help us move forward at a faster clip. What do you guys think? If this is not a popular Idea I will not do it, as I dont want to take away from the game.

Conealment, then roll to hit at -2 with his blade. If hits with bat 20, can confirm with -2, and do up to 4 dmg. Then his turn- best concealment, hit with nat 20, confirm with a -4 to hit, and then any roll would put me to 0...


can you grapple on an AoO?

I think you can. Grapple is just a combat maneuver.


The cleric table shows that I should have 1+1 first level spells and 3 0 level spells, but my char sheet has me with 2+1 and 4. Typo? Or is there a bonus to spells/day that I am not taking into account?

You get a bonus spell from high wisdom

Sadly no. I wish there were. They are so handy.


I saw in aNother thread that the posts usually top with the round number and initiative so it's more clear. If we continue group I it, would be just round number. Might be helpful, and allow me to post the next round's actions and still be clear.

I am up for giving that a try to see if it helps. So everyone just puts the round number in the top of their posts?

That sounds like it may help to further clarify combat order with out slowing the flow.

Or in our case, just the round.

As an aside, this whole lord's jaunt into the woods right after a goblin attack seems bizarre. I don't want to spike the story, but I'm sure in real life I'd be looking at him like he was crazy.

I agree which is why I rolled sense motive. At the moment Tuberu chalks it up to a feckless noble being a bit disconnected from reality and a bit drunk. But when a wealthy lord who just gave you a bag of gold asks to go hunting you go hunting.

You will also want to remember that this is a city on the frontier, while goblin attacks in town don't happen, goblins have been a problem in this area since it was settled, they are neither new or special. It is not a fun time, but since the raid was, as far as anyone knows, wildly unsuccessful(except you, the sherif, the mayor, and the cleric), the fear of tonight will not linger long. A few pets were lots, lots of property damage was done, and some people did get hurt, but everyone will forget the hurts and damage quick because that is the world you and they live in. Also, I think the Adventure path expected you to go to bed after the combat and sleep off the hurts of the day, so more the an hour would have passed before you were invited to a country ride.
