Everyone have stuff for swarms?
Uh...don't we have a halfling? Isn't that his job?
...or some more alch fires. I think we used most of the ones on the treasure sheet.

Potions please. I want the CMW potion just in case someone needs it to bring ME back up.

I think Cats' shopping list is up to date and on my char sheet.
Mariner, mind carrying 50 cold iron arrows with you? In a backpack or something? I need to lose a bit of weight to keep my movement at 30'.

I can take another 35 lbs to offload from others. And sorry to bring this matter up but now that it's been brought up I'm sure we got a shit ton of party stuff and not a safe room to drop it in like we had back at the asylum. Solutions?

Quick List of places to still go in the town:
The other Star Stalae - Fearless and the rest of us appear headed there now.
Sleepless Building - Winter's contact met with the people there and got hints. We should go there too.
Pier 19 - 3 people died and a thing melted them. That's a combat scenario if I heard of one.
Track down the bookstore owner.
Go to the Temple again. Check in on the survivors.
See the Painter- he'll pay us gold to paint our picture.
Go to The Stain - Our old bar. We either go during day or at night. Nearly guarenteed to have some of The Count's NEW men there.

Mariner, you need to run or withdraw so it only gets 1 attack and not 3. It's bonuses to hit are insane. I can partially heal both of us for 1 attack, not 3. Please withdraw. Also, if you with draw and it pursues, Cats gets an attack of opportunity. Each round, that's 2 attacks.

Not only the above, but taking total defense takes away flank and hence, Cats' sneak attack. Total defense doesn't help enough.
If it's only going after Mariner, then taking an AoO to move back 15', then readying a strike with a reach weapon will get you two attacks (1 for the ready, 1 for the reach) to its two attacks (1 for the AoO, 1 for the regular attack), not counting whatever others do.

Planning? PFFT. That's not how Cats works.
OH! Btw, Butterfly, I kept meaning to respond in character about Cats less-listening to Brother's planning. I'll try to be more responsive in the future. Cats ain't the wisest cracker in the barrel and well, has some lessons to learn.

Hello All, I am going camping in Angeles Crest tomorrow morning (ish) until Sunday for Cub Scouts. I'll be out of internet range. DM, please run BB for the Pier. Do anything you need to.
here's his spells:

Regarding the Assassin Vine. How nasty is this thing? Should I use a Spiritual Weapon spell and smash it from a distance- or does anyone else have a spell saving idea to bypass this thing.
Spiritual Weapon seems like the best option as it can move and we'd be in the boat and on water - safe.

I have experienced the same thing.
Two quick notes:
#1: I only have a +7 to religion roll. Not a +8.
#2: Next round, BB plans on calling to the others to see if the woman disappeared. He anticipates that she will do underground and move towards his new position. I wanted to declare this before she moves.
What a tactically tough combat! Our guys are stuck with spike traps in their way. Uggh.

Ugghh. I hope you are doing okay. Surgery is brutal, but it sounds like you wanted to get it done to bookend the holiday weekends. Low impact on work. Smart.

Suddenly a green frog-like face emerges from the dark and moves close to the glass!
I pictured this scene a bit differently...like THIS! (link). That scene still gives me chills.

I still don't know the character classes for some of the other players. I'm doing my best to remain ignorant and let the story and characters flow.
With that said, a good tactic would be to go to the market- get two scrolls of knock. Then we rest for 8 hours and take on the Fort in the evening. ONLY if someone can actually cast the knock spell. If it's a UMD roll, I can grant a luck roll to increase the chance of success.
If we can do that, I suggest frontal assault. If not, climbing the wall to the ramparts.

The rise of D&D liveplay is changing how fans approach roleplaying
Sheesh...I don’t get it, but may have to watch one of them to see if there is there there, you know? Can’t complain until I try it.
After all, I’ve been enjoying the piddlespot out of the Glass Cannon Podcast which is doing Giantslayer, but that’s mostly as I walk round and am at the gym. Hard for me to sit still and watch too much video, but might as well give it a shot.

Thank you Mariner! Not a bad article actually. I was expecting poor writing, but that article was pretty intriguing. Not my cup of tea, as I am a big fan of being a cog in the story unfolding.

The closest thing to these recorded games that I’ve worked on is a documentary called The Dungeon Masters, It was shot about 9 years ago, and I only did location sound mixing on the Los Angeles locations with Scott Corum. As a side note, Brother Butterfly actually has a tiny cameo as a player in one of the games depicted in the film.
As for these modern gaming podcasts, livecasts, webisodes, etc., I’m also listening to and enjoying the Glass Canon Giantslayer podcast, and I’m a big fan of Harmon Quest. I’ve tried watching Wil Wheaton and Felicia Day’s Tabletop series, but couldn’t get into it. A brief glance at the Force Grey series gives me a bad feeling - it looks like “cool” celebrities teamed up with Wizards of the Coast to appropriate and cash in on geek culture. But I’ll admit to a certain amount of bias - I have an intense dislike for WotC.

Woot! Woot! Cameo with The Dungeon Masters!
Thank you Rob. That was a blast-- and got me on Youtube forever...for 1.99 if you buy the movie.

Fearless, as a Player, I am sad to see that your ploy did not work. I hope you know, and see from all the likes... that all the other PC's really appreciated the "BOOM - how you like that revenge" post you did. As a PC, I found it truly amazing and great roleplaying. Top notch marks.
