@Fearless, I think we are going to The Sanctuary to unveil the Doppleganger and then make our way to the shanty village so we can climb those stairs. We can't get to any other area unless we break down the kitchen door.....which would incite a squad of defenders.

Does anyone know a GM that is looking to start up a Play by Post of the "Lost Outpost / Azlantian" Adventure Path?
I don't know if I have the time for it, but this adventure path intrigues me. If there's someone putting it together, I have a couple characters I would find fun to develop and act out.

Yeah, that's not open space where BB moved to. Technically Pinkie couldn't have flanked Zandalus from there, but a regular hit would have finished him off. Just forgot to mention it in the fight.

I've got a message in to BB now. He also moved a little too far and provoked an AoO, so I'm giving him time to reconsider.

@ Cats --- Maybe we don't need magic weapons. I bet there's another weakness - we just haven't thought of it yet. GM - how did the fire (the first round and the second round of burning do? BTW, did you give him damage for the second round? Or is that something we should be noticing that he has DR against? I am thinking that Cat's "Mini Smite" along with the Aligned weapon worked. The GM wrote a really good description of Mariner's first hit and that has me thinking. " ..it roared in surprise at the wound."

Mariner's Long sword is REALLY important in this fight. This fight is gnarly and We are in trouble if I don't start healing Mariner at a better pace.

I +1 the Mariner's sentiments. This is a great campaign. The atmosphere is terrific and very Lovecraftian. That last combat could have gone really bad for our heroic crew. That badguy hit everytime - except at the end. We had some good fortune at the right time.

Fearless - I def think you should have the bracers. You should also take the ring of sustenance.
I am jazzed about the Pearl of Power and I "think" I'm the only true caster that can use it - so I'd like to keep it. I don't know other's character class- except Mariner is a barbarian.

I also took the mace as that's a weapon I can use (but woe to us if I have to swing that thing).

Which leaves the war razor for Cats for the time being. He'll be waiting to upgrade that weapon to something else and get a real sword as well.

The personnel files may feel familiar, but that is just a feeling. No memories have returned. Some characters know more about the world outside then others (depending on their skills on local or geography), however, none of it is from personal memory. The library in Briarstone could probably be used to find a map.

Quick FYI. I adjusted my memorized spells to be more "Town oriented". This is the first time I have access to Herolab in a few days. Please advise if it's cool, or if they kick in "tomorrow".


You have rested since the fight with the Tatterman, so a change in spells is ok.

I updated the links at the top. The +Visual Guide+ has regional and local maps, plus images of NPCs, plus a separate page for Butterfly's art and miscellaneous Campaign images. Check it out when you get the chance and let me know if you want me to add any other images or maps to it.

@other players. I dont know how we shop via play by post. Bb just needs new clothes, paint supplies, and a potion of Eagle Splendor.

I prefer to streamline selling/buying. Propose things to sell, get half-cost (adjusting for items with fewer charges then normal), and buy at full price.

Specialty items and art must be handled separately until an appropriate buyer can be found. Those items (such as Zandalus' art) requires special buyers or contacts and may take a little more time to process.

You can buy most items within the limits of the town's economy. Thrushmoor's limit is around 2000 gold. Items outside the Core book need to be cleared with me first.


There were a bunch of pages scattered around near Zandalus area in briarstone. I don't see them on the loot sheet. I think everyone was too excited at surviving to make a note about picking them up, though I'm sure you would have. If you take a day to arrange them they make a standard book of extended summoning.


Does it have a human skin cover?
