Hehe. Thanks! Have to get back to plotting now. The dice gods shook their fist at me:)

Who is taking the bag of holding? I think Cats or Mariner right?
Fearless has a Handy Haversack. Right?

I'm leaning heavily towards Cats as Mariner has wicked high strength. But if there's movement bonuses or other bonuses for barbarian with light weight.

Acrobatics: +8. Disable: +15. Perception: +12. Sleight/Stealth +10. F9/R11/W9. Seeker of Redemption 7

Can the bag hold an axe? We're gunna need an axe. ;)

As Mariner is already holding a lot of Cats' arrows (and I hope that will continue) so I think it's better to give it to him. Cats is pretty free moving and happy right now.

Scarab Sages

M Human Cleric of Desna Level 7 AC 19 w/shield. 18 W/O. +12 Perception

Alright Mariner has bag of holding. Please confirm that you took it.
Did you guys want to roleplay with Lady Winter and them?
BB is really ready to sleep, and pray. The others in the party can recharge with a lot less sleep.
If we want to have him sleep here (where he has protection) and the other party members do some shopping or conversing.
Fearless has a ring of sustenance - he only needs two hours of sleep- unless it's been less than a week since we got it from Charlie the Unicorn!

Cats doesn't want it. However, if you want Cats to hold it for the party, I'm certainly happy to do that.

If you give it to takes, he's liable to sell it and try to buy a nice dexterous belt.

Male Halfling | HP 46/46 | AC 19; TCH 14; FF 16 | Perc +13

Correct. Fearless has a Handy Haversack so no need for him to have it.

Scarab Sages

M Human Cleric of Desna Level 7 AC 19 w/shield. 18 W/O. +12 Perception

I will update BB at home tonight, but if everyone else is ready, he's good to go also. I know that I want Hide from Undead on Fearless and the rest of us. Fearless then sneaks in through the arrow slit at the entrance and "hopefully" my magic holds up so he doesn't get attacked. or he gets attacked by only one and is able to unbar the door in the meantime.
The other spells, I'll pick and won't affect the assault on the front door.

I talked to Pinkie. Between a new job and an unexpected medical issue he has had little time to post, but he will return. Until he gets back in the groove, let’s keep pushing on.

So, Order of the Stick is one of my favorite things on the web.

Here's the previous comic that made me laugh because I fully pictured BB saying the exact same words. It's the first picture box.

http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots1106.html

Cats: Gwah?, Gwah!
Brother B: Not now, Cats. Brother's making a dramatic entrance.

A special shout out that this campaign is also one of my favorite things on the web... and it's because of awesome players and an Epic GM. Let's keep working together to compose a fun, and frantic story arc!

Male Halfling | HP 46/46 | AC 19; TCH 14; FF 16 | Perc +13

Order of the Stick is great!

Has everyone gone to see The Last Jedi yet?

Saw it yesterday myself. Still processing, but thought it was pretty great.

Ayep. On the yester. Really good...and yes, lots of stuff to process.

I will say things in spoiler.

Spoiler:

Uh. F@&~ing Leia was really good in this one.
Surprisingly, wasn't annoyed by Ben.
F&&+ Porgs. Totally unneeded side s#+#. Just give me story and action.
Luke was pretty good too. He's come a LONG way as an actor since Star Wars.
+1 for Yoda. Well done and not annoying.
This franchise has thankfully moved well away from freakin' JarJar.
Lots of social justice and animal welfare tons in the movie, which was interesting.

Jedi discussion...

Last Jedi:

Carrie Fisher was awesome. I think Rian Johnson collaborated more with her on character and script then J.J. Abrams did. Rian definitely got a better performance.

I read an interesting article that talks about Kylo Ren’s development. I think he was supposed to be whiny and annoying in Episode 7 (a lot like Luke was in Episode 4). Kylo was trapped by a legacy he can’t live up to. It sounds sort of dumb, but he was like a Millennial gone to the dark side. The details of his history with Luke and Snoke, and the twisted person he’s become after manipulation and misunderstandings makes a lot more sense now.

Mark Hamill HAS come a long way, and I this film shows it. I think most fans expected a different story for him, but I think this film makes the right choice. The Jedi had failed. Qui Gon Jin knew it, and Yoda understood it too. Rey is the clean slate, inspired by Luke, but free of Jedi dogma.

For Yoda, apparently they remade him from an original puppet and snuck Frank Oz in to play the part. I love Rian for going old school with him, stick beatings and all!

Regarding the porgs. I have no problem with them. I have an 8 year old daughter, which gives me a whole new perspective on such things. The porgs offer a welcome break from the bleak story of Luke and Rey, and lightens the battle scene at the end, delivering a little levity and fun to break the tension, which is better appreciated by children in the audience. I feel the same way about Ewoks and Jar Jar. They aren’t there to entertain adults. They are more like walking safety blankets.

I’m a little annoyed that we don’t learn more about Snoke, but his backstory is sort of irrelevant. I feel like we knew even less about Palpatine by the end of Return of the Jedi. Marketing, and a big name like Andy Serkis voice acting for Snoke, made us more curious then we should have been.

Spoilerers will be murdert. Seeing next Friday.

Last Jedi:

Yup. Saw Last Jedi. I actually really liked, minus a couple tiny parts, which I will explain further once all have seen it. Just seems like they had numerous opportunities to end Leia's story in a meaningful way and just didn't. No clue how they are going to explain her disappearance or just Tarkin CGI her in maybe.

So has anyone seen Bright on Netflix yet?

I saw Last Jedi with Rah last week. Still processing yes. Good/great as far as movie making goes. First reaction was two thumbs up. But there's more to say about it. Waiting till BB sees it.

Can I clean up the treasure chart? We have a bunch of entries on stuff we've already sold and gotten money from.
I want to add the new things found. if I get a +1 from GM or from two PC's. I'll update.

We have 379 Party Gold now registered, but two big art pieces to sell plus the items from Fort Hailcourse we've just picked up.
I'd like to clear out the "items Bought Column" as those items should now be on everyone's charactersheet/herolab.
Please reply that you've updated the items. I'll delete your entries, ex: I updated my Herolab and deleted my bought items.
This will work as we will then have a clean slate for future trips to the market.

Lastly, GM, what is the command word for the two CLW wands that we bought? Eldersage is burnt out.

Quick Happy Birthday wishes to the GM! Today he is not only wise, he can do anything he wants..... oh wait, a GM can always do anything they want,

Nevermind, for today is like any other day, except the GM gets this nonsensical post!

P.S. Desna hopes your birthday travels are fun and full of memories.

GM, can you please bot me until afternoon tomorrow? Sorry, but work items and deadlines.

So I’ve mentioned it before, but I think it bears repeating. The spoilers for individual characters help separate character/player knowledge, but I highly suggest reading them at some point to experience more of the story of this campaign.

Low on spells.

Spoiler:
gm I have 1 more Channel, 3 luck, True Strike, and Magic Circle vs. Evil - which I can sacrifice for a 3rd level healing. I also have the Pearl of Power first level I can still use.
Just giving an update as I went through the entries and checked my spell usage.

From a conversation about Perception checks I’m in on another thread.

My opinion:

Unless stated beforehand there is a tricky line with assuming what players would do upon entering an area containing hidden items or information. I try to break down the divide between passive and active perception checks.

Passive perception would apply to situations that don’t require the character to do anything more than be in the area and rely on line of sight, sounds, or maybe even smells. Examples: hiding creatures, suspicious books on a desk, a burning fuse, a silent but deadly fart.
Rules note: I think a GM should always make these rolls (and allow the players make an additional one if they decide upon active perception).

Active perception would apply to situations that require interaction. Examples: the contents of containers, a key under a rug, and anything considered secret (doors, latches, and discovering who “dealt it”).
Rules note: I think players should almost always be responsible for these rolls.

By establishing these as standard play assumptions it can both speed along the game and make players more active in situations where they know the GM isn’t going to do the work for them.

Note: I also think that sometimes a passive perception check might notice clues that lead to an active perception check.

Trap Spotter Talent: any character with the trap spotter rogue talent should get to make passive checks for all traps within 10 feet, and I would allow a second check if they take time for active perception.
