Nomad, I have a question. Intimidate requires a Wisdom check to counter, and the Derro have squat for Wis. Would you rule that they would use their Charisma modifier instead? If you do not rule that way, Mel can intimidate them easily.

FYI--I will be turkey-izing tomorrow (okay, so I'll be eating veggie meat and all the sides), and then Friday to Sunday I'll be out in the wild woods. Well, not the super wild woods as we'll be in a hotel or cabin or something. Phone reception is bad there so I may not post much at all.

Segang |

Hey, me too. Except I'll eat real meat. Turkeys are almost veggies imho. But I'll be camping Friday night - real camping, in a tent, with a fire when its 25° outside. I expect I can post both Friday morning and later Saturday though.
Happy Thanksgiving all.

Absinthe Mooneyes |

*snrk* In all humility, I do think this is the most cinematically awesome thing Absinthe has done the whole campaign. :D

Segang |

It was cool, but,… I doubt you made the tumble check. To tumble through you have to beat the CMB by 5. Skeletons have good dex iirc so I bet its CMD is more than 12. You would also have to tumble past the Derro as when you grapple you are no longer in their square but adjacent. There is no easy way to share a square with another small or medium creature.

Wow, what a weekend. Spouse and I got paid friday, we go shopping, take kids out for a nice dinner, buy a tree, bring it home atop the car, come in the house, and find out we've been robbed! Someone smashed in the back sliding glass door, grabbed the family computer (an old laptop), the Wii, and the oldest's personal laptop. Kids are very upset and there's glass all over the kitchen floor. Took some serious effort to get things back to normal.
Saturday night we had set up and decorated the tree, and then we were sitting there watching National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, and suddenly the tree starts toppling over! I make a dive for it and catch it before it hits the floor, saving many ornaments.
Then on Sunday we saw Hobbit, which was excellent. So, crazy weekend.

Absinthe Mooneyes |

I'm here. And with me and my Disable device and Stealth skills, you don't need to bake a cake! ;)

DM NomadSage |

Congratulations! You have earned enough experience to reach 4th level!
We're also at the end of the 'Edge of Anarchy' adventure. You'll have an indeterminate number of days in game time before the next chapter, 'Seven Days to the Grave' kicks off, so if you have any study/crafting plans, announce them here. Similarly, if you want to sidebar some events in the downtime, let me know or start up a thread in game.
Again, congrats on completing 'Edge of Anarchy'!!

Cherias the Kitling |

Yay level 4!
1d4 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 Woot! I guess I need the boost!
Another level of Oracle, this is where I get the good stuff.
Level 2 spells: Cure Moderate Wounds, Lesser Restoration, and Shield Other.
Level 0 Spell: Mending (Unless someone thinks I should take something else?)
+1 Charisma

Absinthe Mooneyes |

During downtime, Absinthe tries to make some discrete inquiries about this 'Blackjack' she has heard nothing about until now. (Or at least I haven't. ;)
Knowledge (local) 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19.
If she can make peaceful - and, of course, secret contact with him and/or whatever organization be helongs to, so much the better.
So as not to completely lose touch with her original training, Absinthe starts the creation of a small meditation cabinet, provided her funds stretch that far. The cabinet can function as a normal cabinet or box, but when opened up, its inside panels are decorated with patterns and pictures which can serve as a focus for meditation, as is popular in Tien Xia.
Craft (carpentry) 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8.
Alas, it is a poor piece of worksmanship, and Absinthe feels duly ashamed. She does her best to sell the wretched thing for as good a price as she can get, and may well be guilty of some verbal trickery to raise the price.
Bluff 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20.
If time allows, and if she can gain access to the garrison forge and its stocks (there have to be some perks to working for the government. ;) ) Absinthe tries her hand at forging herself a better quality of rapier, using her new training in the creation of weapons.
Craft (weapons) 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
Again, not nearly a masterwork creation. Absinthe will probably offer the freshly-forged blade as a present to Melianthe, unless something interesting happens - and of course, provided she gets the chance to make the thing at all.

Absinthe Mooneyes |

Whoops, forgot to mention:
Also 1 rank in Intimidate and Stealth, each. ;) Playing to my Tiefling strengths and improving my usefulness with Nightmare Fist.
Speaking of which, the other party members may become aware of Absinthe going through a martial arts regime in the early morning and again before retiring to bed. She will identify her combat style as "Nightmare Fist" if anyone asks.

Absinthe Mooneyes |

I do need to know how much capital we gathered during our latest adventure before I can do the cabinet. ^^; The sword, I hope to have paid for by the state, by the simple expedient of using the forge and never asking them to bill me. ;)

Absinthe Mooneyes |

Cripes, I'm investigating Korvosa's version of Batman?! ^^; I'm going to wake up one night to find him in my bedroom, telling me my whole life's story and then asking me why I want to know about him, aren't I?

Melianthe Ssulissien |

Melianthe is divesting herself of weapons, and barely knows which end of a rapier to hold onto. She keeps the blade, not wanting to be rude.
What's our loot level right now? I wouldn't mind buying a wand or something, if we have some funds.
HP: 1d6 ⇒ 1 How did I know that was going to happen? Mel needs to eat.
+1 to Intelligence
added Language: Draconic
BAB goes to PLUS TWO!
+1 on Will Save.
Flight Hex - Feather Fall at will; Levitate 1/day.
+2 Fly
+1 Intimidate
+1 Kn Arcana
+1 Kn Nature (I think I added this...)
+2 Kn Nobles (since we've been around them so much)
+1 Spellcraft
+1 Perception
...I think that's what I added. HeroLab made sure I didn't cheat. ;)
Added spells to familiar: Lipstitch and Blindness/Deafness. \m/

Cherias the Kitling |

Remember it's 1d3+3, rather than 1d6, Mel.

Absinthe Mooneyes |

Oh - There's something else I want to do during the interim.
I want to visit those kids we left at the orphanage. They who are no longer the Little Lambs.

Segang |

Cool that Segang got to use his Urban Barbarian thing to move through crowds, even if it was sort of abstracted. If you are good with it, I would like to say that Segang actually moved up to Trinia catches sight of the incoming attack and screams. Blackjack and actually helped by giving them a hand up, or something, even if that means he might be marked as having helped them escape. Since he can freely move through the crowd this should be possible. I just want to make sure that Trinia Blackjack are aware that our group was helping them.
Leveling up as Barbarian of course.
Hit Points: 1d6 + 6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 6 + 3 = 12
+1 BAB
+1 Strength, to 17
+1 to Fort Saves
+ 1 Additional Rage Power = Witch Hunter (+2 Damage to creatures with spells or spell like abilities)
DR increases to 2/-, or 4/- to nonlethal

+1 to Superstition spell resistance saves, increasing it to +3
+ 6 skill points
2 to Acrobatics
1 to Diplomacy
1 to Intimidate
1 to Knowledge Local
1 to Perception
