About Cherias the Kitling

Found in the wilds and raised by a kind old couple in Old Korvosa, Cherias grew up believing himself to be some sort of catfolk. The only ostensible member of that race in his neighborhood, he was bullied for his unconventional appearance, his unnatural beauty, his relative weakness, and his odd behavior and desires. After a carriage accident in which he managed to save the lives of two of his tormentors, he was left with a severely mangled leg, a high fever, and days of bed-ridden delirium.

During his dreams, he was visited by a majestic Leonal, who told him of his ancestry, and promised him the chance to ascend to Nirvana, should he be able to prove himself as a champion of life.

When he awoke, he found himself able to speak the tongue of angels, and heal those around him with a burst of pure life energy. Now Cherias searches for his destiny and the opportunity for greatness.
