Right now we're just running down leads. We now have some clues as to what we're dealing with, but nothing to make any conclusions about yet. I'm not really sure what "synchronized panicking" is in reference to, but other than a little misstep with the locals, we're doing mostly fine.

Right. So I've skimmed the gameplay thread and have decided how I will be proceeding. Unless someone has objections Marcus will be directly pursuing the missing equipment. I don't have much interest in identifying the creature though I imagine if we find the missing items we will find the beast as well.
Personally I suspect a cult situation at this point. A lone creature or even a group is possible but I don't see right now a connection between that and the missing equipment. There is also a chance that there are some kind of skin-walkers about but that seems the most unlikely giving the case.
For now I will be investigating on my own unless someone wishes to join me. I don't have much reason at the moment to be acting as if I'm in danger.
We also seem to have a problem with the locals that stems from throwing the weight of the Wardens around. I will try and approach the situation from a different angle since I am not technically a member of the wardens nor am I wearing the uniform. However, I kind of backed myself into a corner with my opening post so I'd appreciate it if someone else were to assist.
I've also noticed that one of the characters has both Occult Sense and Darkness Magnet. Perhaps we could us him like some sort of spectral radar? That way we have at least some sort of forewarning if something decided to come after us.

As before, Quinton will talk to the miners at the site and find out where the theft occurred, then leave them pretty much alone unless they bother us. "While it might be a strong urge to look for the same types of evidence, we should probably just take a look and see what we can see. Better to have no preconceptions, then to miss something cause we were looking for something else."
Investigation: 10d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 5, 4, 1, 4, 4, 3, 3, 6) = 38 2 successes, +1 from acute senses
Notice: 10d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 6, 5, 6, 5, 3, 3, 3, 1) = 36 4 successes, +1 from acute senses

Apologies for the delay, things got busy, but should be back on track now! Quinton I think you meant to post that in the Gampeplay thread. With that said, which site are you attempting to investigate? There are a number of various thefts but if you can describe the kinds of materials you are chasing down (or one of the specific sites) I can let you know what you find out. And no need to roll, discovering information at the sites is just a plot point total.

I don't really know anyone else who I think would like to play. And between me in Quinton we lack a lot of the skills we would need to perform actually in-depth investigations.
Is there any chance we could simplify some of the leg work? Right now we've found a whole lot of clues but nothing concrete because there's only been two of us working.
