Just so everyone knows, I caught a really bad cold, and just fought that off; but I also have something going wrong in my guts that the doctors haven't figured out, which is why I've been a little off lately. I'll keep folks posted as the situation develops. Hopefully I won't be off to surgery or dying or anything awful. (Posting this note to all the games I run.)

I hope the gut issue is nothing serious. Also hope you get over the cold fairly soon as well (I hate getting sick in the summer; luckily, it hasn't happened to me in ages).

I hope you get better! I was just coming to report that I’m home, but that I too am experiencing a mancold! I’ll check the game thread, and see what Zinnath needs to do to save the day!

In addition to my liver crapping out, my grandpa-in-law just died, so I'm heading to the funeral. Really sorry folks. Will do my best to get SOMETHING up this weekend. :/

For a company that relies so much on their web presence and sales for their overall business model, I can’t believe how crappy Paizo’s web servers and forums are. And this isn’t anything new. We’ve had this complaint for years.

Good news everyone! The DriveThruRPG copy of the Temple of Elemental Evil was updated with a better-quality scan.

Well doesn't help they run it all on Apple based web software no one else ever uses.

So we’ve been playing this game for 2.5 years, and we have gained 2 levels.

I’d like to have a serious conversation about level of interest and speed of the game here.

I'm still checking the boards on an almost-daily basis and would have no problem rededicating myself to pushing the game along at a faster clip.

Still here, still interested in continuing.

I'm here too. I know I've disappeared from time to time so I apologize for the times I've slowed down the game.

I check the posts every day. site up or site down. I try to post when "my turn is up", but I have to admit (maybe because I'm a late add), I don't know what our progress scale is.

True, but “all parties” hadn’t. Still haven’t, and it has now been 6 days. I think a post a day is a reasonable expectation. Weekends are an exception. But, either way, a post per week is just too slow.

The boards are FINALLY back and my job just put me on overtime footing for another three weeks. PLUS I got hit with the bug where I stopped getting notifications on everything.

I'm callin' it quits, I just can't win on this.

The real kicker is that this is the game I really wanted to run. I got saddled with two Wrath of the Runelords groups after the DM on those vanished, and I just can't keep up with as many games as I'm running right now. But oh well.

Don't quit. This is the game I really want to play! That's why I'm ok with the slower pace. However, I understand not everyone feels the same way. Maybe we can use Zinnath and Tronar as NPC's until we get back to town and try to find some new players to fill in.

I'd prefer to continue as well but understand if you don't have the time or energy to keep going, Jesse.

I can keep running, I'm just pretty demoralized by the combination of continuing outages, overtime, and everything that can go wrong, going wrong.

I don't mind the pace... I game enough on the side, so I'm more than patient at the pace the DM needs to go. And honestly, I sorta like low level stuff anyways.

But I understand its been going on for several years, so others may want to step out, but as long as Fezzik is game, I'm game.

How would you folks like to go about replacements? Open call, or do you have friends you want to invite?

What do we want to do about magic item creation? Currently we don't have anyone who can do that.

Any thoughts on our revised line-up?

Personally I liked our dragon sorcerer, but I'm not so hip on all these homebrew/houserule/etc builds

Feel like there is a lot of optimization going on, especially the feral build. Its WAY overpowered. +4 nat armor at 3rd? Come on. And with all the other base bonuses no other PC race gets with only ONE minus to ability. And a full-blade (cough 3.5 variant)? 2d8 damage? I don't even understand from the background, where around hommlet expanded area you might have run into it to get trained in such an exotic weapon.

Magus - Again, optimization... wis 7? cha 7? I can see dropping one but not two, especially wis. Yeah, yeah, wizard is high bab for will saves, and elf so makes up the difference for enchantment will saves, but...

Thanks! I hope we have a good time. Do you think my character needs any other minor adjustments before we get started? We have a good assortment of skills.

Also, if anyone has requests for scrolls, Orveiss can probably craft them before we leave town. Both Fezzik and Silver Knight might want enlarge person scrolls on hand, since Silver Knight can read them as well as Orveiss. Also, dazzling blade and heightened awareness are great buff spells for Avendryl.

Sounds like a plan.... although fezzik takes up so much space, that there isn't room for anyone else in the dungeon! :D

Hmm, maybe Fezzik would rather have reduce person scrolls at hand, if there's any tight spaces to get through!

Not sure how much he'd need enlarge. But yes, Reduce Person might be handy as you point out.
