There's a different DM starting up a Rise of the Runelords game if anyone is interested.
He seems to be kinda new to running online, 'cuz he didn't connect his recruitment thread correctly, but if you pop up in the discussion thread, he only has a couple people applying so far.

Going camping this weekend, contact may be out or sporadic until Sunday night or Monday!

Will bot missing PCs tomorrow morning if needed!

I'm currently out of town for Thanksgiving and my daughter has come down with strep throat (we're at an urgent care facility right now getting diagnosed). So my posting may be rather erratic to nonexistent for the next few days. Hope everyone has a good holiday!

Thank you, and here's to a quick recovery. Fortunately we are in a (short) down moment!

In other news, I got my desktop PC working again!
DM Jesse Heinig
Welcome back! Glad to see that no ill has befallen anyone. :)
DM Jesse Heinig
Yes, but you can't use a two-handed weapon while grappled. See OGC stuff here. You could still use your lay on hands, of course, but the greatsword is out. :) Uh, at least, that's how I read "In addition, grappled creatures can take no action that requires two hands to perform." Do let me know if there's a FAQ about it or somethin'.
DM Jesse Heinig
Odd. Could've sworn Magnauk was using a greatsword this whole time. Go figure!
DM Jesse Heinig
As you've probably figured out, in the crypt you faced:
3 ghouls
2 wights (the woman had the ability to inflict negative levels if she hit with her greatsword)
1 zombie owlbear
1 special skeletal bat swarm ("special" because normally creatures that fly physically lose flight when they become skeletal)
Also, I've flipped the map back to the hinterlands near Sandpoint.

Since we're moving really slowly and everyone seems tuckered out, I'll just move the story along here a little bit.
It's time to try out the caravan rules. My first read-through suggests that they create boring fights that are basically "One player rolls dice while everyone else watches," but we'll see how it comes out in practice.
Magnauk, you still with us? Was gonna offer you the first shot at handling dice-rolling for the caravan. :)
DM Jesse Heinig
I sent a PM to Magnauk (though admittedly it's only been a day since I made the post about the caravan).
Posting has been really at a trickle lately. Is it just the holidays? If folks have lost interest in the game, feel free to let me know. Once you reach Galduria, that's a perfect time to switch characters -- whether swapping one of your own, or changing players. I would like to push through the caravan phase and reach Brinewall, then make it through the dungeon! :D

I'm happy with kenji, though the holidays are dragging my posts out.

Cool, just so long as everyone is happy. I just don't want the game to peter out as folks are like "Well, no updates in three days . . . still waiting for a post from so-and-so . . . I guess this game is dead." :D
Kaijitsu Kenji
Yep. I break the monotony with holiday themed side adventures. This thanksgiving for my game they fought a dire fire breathing Turducken.
It had burning fry oil breath, was large size, and exploded into a fried turkey plus 2 medium sized Dire Ducks, which each consequently exploded into a roast duck and 2 small sized Dire Chickens. Those popped into baked chickens and assorted sides.

Sorry for the slow posting these last couple of weeks. End of the semester for my wife and kids, preparations for the holidays and the associated two weeks of traveling to visit the family, plus an unexpected sharp increase in workload have all conspired to divert my attention away from the Paizo boards. However, I have not lost interest in the game or my character, and am anxious for our party to reach Brinewell.
Hope everyone's holiday preparations go smoothly!
DM Jesse Heinig
Sorry for the pause, had a busy weekend!

I think there's nothing more to do in this town. Perhaps we move forward?

Was just wondering if things were slow for the holidays. I didn't see anyone list any purchases -- if nobody objects we can move on toward Wolfe's Ear.
Hiro Takemashi
Hope everyone had a great holiday! We're nearing the end of our whirlwind two-week tour of seven states to visit family, and this is the first opportunity I've had to get on the computer.
As for selling and/or purchasing in Galduria - do we need to purchase any provisions or supplies for the caravan? We also have the following items from the Varisian tomb to potentially sell if nobody wants to claim them: 1 masterwork breastplate, 1 masterwork greatsword, 1 bronze torc (value 150 gp), and 1 bronze armband (value 75 gp). Thoughts?
DM Jesse Heinig
Kenji's taking care of purchasing supplies for the caravan. It's not super expensive but you should refresh the caravan's available funds from time to time from your treasures. :)
I'm still on vacation myself and won't be back on the "normal" biz until Tuesday the 5th!
DM Jesse Heinig
Oh, and don't forget! You got 125 gp worth of cargo from the goblins that you defeated on the road.
Lyraesel
Playing a character that's as nature oriented as I am it's hard to rationalize going shopping in character, not that there's much needed right now.
DM Jesse Heinig
No problem. The shopping montage just ain't your thang!
DM Jesse Heinig
Six hour drive home today, then I will be back on a normal schedule tomorrow. Expect post-holiday posting to flare up!
