I have updated my stats and skills. Since my family was in forestry and we had to deliver large amounts of wood all over the place I have added Profession woodcutter and Profession Driver.
I volunteer to be a driver and guard for the caravan.

Interesting suggestion, since the caravan has to remain halted while a wainwright is doing repairs; means you could switch off, since you would never be in a position where you're trying to do both at once.

Yay, I'm glad my choice to add Baker to my professions at first level had actual mechanical value! :p I just wanted it for flavor purposes... I'm glad to see these things mesh together, flavor and gameplay.
I am looking forward to seeing how Shalelu and Lyraesel advance their relationship, especially if it's at the expense of Kenji's reputation again! :D

Heh, our resident Firebender has his very own creepy-hot stalker.

If Deborah can't work as the healer, then I vote for the gnome - sounds like an alchemist, so hopefully he can make bombs, too!

Would it be possible to repair Tsutamu's wakizashi using the Make Whole spell? Could I hire a spellcaster of sufficient level in Sandpoint to cast Make Whole for less than 600 gp (i.e., at the typical cost for spellcasting services of Caster Level x Spell Level x 10 gp)?

Presumably father Abstalar Zantus at the cathedral could do it -- cleric 4 x spell level 2 x 10 gp = 80 gp. I don't see any reason that make whole wouldn't do the job, as part of its function is repairing destroyed magic items. You'd just have to give him a day's advance notice so he can prepare the spell, but you're spending a couple days shopping and preparing for travel anyway.

I agree! Fluids and sleeps are the best thing when sick.
Also, I just picked up Imperial Relationships, a 3rd Party supplemental PDF that actually details the relationships you can have in the Jade Regent AP. If you want, Jesse, I'd love to show you it. They have this 10 rank scale of relationship towards most of the named NPC's in the AP, and at least two of the players would probably find that really interesting.
No rush though. Thought it would be useful regardless, but I'd love to see if it would help.

Currently starting the morning with Earl Gray tea. Still a little sick, but at the office as I have too much work to do to let anything slide.
Kenji-p, I will pick up that book and see if there's anything that I like. I generally am not a fan of proceduralizing relationships -- at worst you get stuff like Dragon Age, which is "give presents, receive sex." (John Wick's upcoming game Galaxy XXX has a much better model, I think.) But, if they have more detailed motivations and interests for many of the NPCs, that could be very helpful.
Jade Regent's Traits, I feel, did something very important: Instead of you defining your character and then learning during the game that a particular NPC likes redheads or Chelish or whatever, you just pick a trait that says "I want to pursue this NPC" and this flags the DM to make that NPC compatible with your character. This way you can evolve a relationship without worrying about playing the guessing game of "Am I his/her/its type?"
Since this third-party supplement expands the roster of "interested" NPCs, if someone pops up and your character is also "interested," just be sure to mention it.

At current, I'm interested in the creepy npc we've got hanging around kenji. I find the combination of her spookyness and his awkward oh-gods-my-sister-is-the-BARD-everyone-will-know to be deliciously precarious.
I was looking at it, it just fleshes out the characters to have more when a player does want to increase their relationship with them. It had a relationship progression, but it was called breakthroughs, points where the relationship changes. I read one standalone pdf for a lyrakian and it was kinda touching.

Glad to read that you're feeling better. Now I just hope that we haven't lost Magnauk -- haven't seen a post from him in a while!
My current suspicion is bad power supply on my computer. I needed to get a new one anyway before I could upgrade, so that's probably work for this weekend.

Jinda's more flexible as a magician, he can change up what kind of bonus he's providing day by day.

Whispering Shrike allows me to cast Shield Other once per day on any creature I touch with the blade while wielding it. So I have a few questions: How long does the Shield Other spell last? The spell description lists a duration of one hour per caster level, but what is the caster level of the spell in the wakizashi? Or does the spell only last while I am wielding the weapon? If that's the case, if I cast the spell and then keep Whispering Shrike unsheathed and in-hand for the rest of the day, would the spell last that entire time?
Thanks!
