Blibberblab |
Things Blibberblab is good at
•Inpiring others to hurt things
•Keeping an eye out for dogs
•Rallying goblins
Things Blibberblab needs to practice
•Not getting drunk on watch
•Not getting stunned by elves
Groonk |
So I'm curious how Groonk should enter? Should he just charge in, or should I wait until these Drow punks are disposed of?
And so you all are aware of initial judgements...
Bonds:
Talks-to-Trees would make a tasty snack.
Retzack the Black knows a dark secret about my mutations.
Blibberblab has the best ideas. I should listen to him more.
Haluk talks about things stronger than Groonk. I think he's full of s**t.
Last bond is saved to fill in later if something cool comes up.
Talks-to-Trees |
Well, biting trees would solve the question of tasty or not. Made with real chlorophyll!
Talks-to-Trees |
No worries! I figure as 'fodder' someone's gonna try to eat her, eventually :p
Moxie Swiftstitch |
Moxie is good at stitching. She's been stitching things back together for longer than she can remember. In and out goes the needle and the thread. You can stitch all sorts of things together! Like a hand to an arm, or two pieces of leg! It's amazing the wonders some skilled stitching can do!
======
Here is my GW Necromancer, Moxie Swiftstitch :)
I'm thinking bond wise:
I can't help but think what a powerful corpse Groonk wold make.
Retzack or Haluk always leaves a trail (or should I say buffet?) of corpses. (Not sure which of those two that would fit better yet...)
Talks-to-Trees |

Well,I think that depends. I feel what is left on this plane and not eaten is generally a much more creative form of dead, when Retzack is involved, while haluk's is a more complete form.
So: Retzack's dead comes with the tag 'some assembly required'. :p
Moxie Swiftstitch |
True... Though I can piece things back together... Decisions, decisions.
I think, I'll set that bond with Haluk :)
Oh, Frogfoot, we do still get that advanced move, yes? If not I'll take it off Moxie's Sheet
Retzack the Black |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |
Bond: Retzack will never remember who Talks-to-Trees is, and will always help her conceal her identity...completely unwittingly, while always assured that he knows -exactly- what is going on.
Talks-to-Trees |
And she will always be his -best- minion.
Also, Groonk wielding the katana -backwards- would be amazing. "Cutty part make weapon go through enemy. Don't want go through enemy, want enemy go through wall."
Talks-to-Trees |
I meant still holding it by the hilt, but with the blade towards him :P
Also, bludgeoning a drow to death with their own blade... would be infinitely hilarious.
Talks-to-Trees |
I'll give others a chance to do something, since I've done a -ton- today. Should I roll defy danger for that, once others have had a chance to react, or is enraging it -towards myself- the penalty, as opposed to just automatically taking its suplex that will pierce the heavens?
Groonk |
Retzack, your spell backfires! Your spell creates a fireball that attains consciousness!
The fireball sprouts little arms and legs, until it looks like a tiny, fiery facsimile of a goblin. It looks up at you and points and laughs with a voice like crackling flame, and runs off! Before it goes, though, it blows you a kiss; the kiss ignites your robe's hem. The fire imp runs off into the woods, cackling, leaving miniature fires as its footprints.
This hard move is one to keep in the mental index for future use!
Talks-to-Trees |
Frogfoot -really- likes 'you'll enjoy this later' things. Like, my half-elf accidentally summoned a water elemental once. It came back later to try to drown her, the first chance it got. I'm not really sure it's over, either, as it's easily possible that the seas as a whole hate Mazatl :p
Of course, who's to say the imp doesn't -actually- love Retzack? We could do some research into goblin Genasi if he's up to it...
Atlas2112 |
*chuckle* This is one of my favorites: He who fights with monsters should be careful lest he thereby become a monster. ;-)
Talks-to-Trees |
Well, I figure that's Meatsnack's plan, at the very least. Lead the most capable goblins to their deaths, and reduce the numbers of goblins, to both prevent people from getting ideas about replacing him, and prevent waaghs. If we come back, we'll probably overload the tribe. :P

Atlas2112 |
*gasp!*
@Frogfoot: Oh Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude................! Oh you missed it. You TOTALLY had a shot there and you didn't go for the Full Monty.
Everyone knows that to send the spiders-on-your-spine feeling you say:
*shudder*
(Oh, look, that series is now free on youtube. I'm so glad that I sprung for that Collector's pack. :p )
Talks-to-Trees |
Talks to Trees is torn. The goblin in her desires:
Elemental Mastery
When you call on the primal spirits of fire, water, earth or air to perform a task for you roll+Wis.
✴ On a 10+ choose two.
✴ On a 7–9 choose one.
✴ On a miss, some catastrophe occurs as a result of your calling.
The effect you desire comes to pass
You avoid paying nature’s price
You retain control
Because nothing bad happens ever.
But her inner goddess desires:
Formcrafter
When you shapeshift choose a stat: you take +1 ongoing to rolls using that stat while shifted. The GM will choose a stat, too: you take -1 ongoing to rolls using that stat while shifted.
WAAAAGGHGHGHGH.
Either way. +1 wis. :)
Talks-to-Trees |
Alrighty, based on the party we have, we already have someone whose specialty is -ruining everything for everyone- by trying to do something neat, and ignoring the possible repercussions.
As such, Formcrafter is more fitting until Misty accidentally kills him. :)
Form of... SLINKY SNAKE! +1 ongoing dex!
Shape of... FRAGILE SNAKE! -1 ongoing con!
Bonus points if a water snake.
DM Frogfoot |
Very thematic choice Blibberblab!
Tutti: Tough choice! Elemental mastery gives you a lot of flexibility with magic if you wanted to go more spellcastery, but since you're using your beast forms pretty exclusively so far, I'd probably go Formcrafter so you could stay in animal form doing basic moves all the time. Either choice is legitimate though!
Groonk |
Sorry everyone! I'm in heavy training until Friday, and keep putting off letting you all know in hopes of being able to catch up and update. But that just isn't going to happen. I'll be back Friday though, and am so sorry I didn't warn you all in monday!
Talks-to-Trees |
I'm going with the form one. Any chance of applying it to her current condition, and me saying 'strength'?
Also, the idea was for her to use her talking to trees, including unleashing the forces of nature, freely amongst the goblins. But they'd probably try to eat her if she turned into flappy bird.
Retzack the Black |
we already have someone whose specialty is -ruining everything for everyone- by trying to do something neat, and ignoring the possible repercussions.
I know, right? Man, that Blibblyboop really knows how to cause some havok. :p
Whadayathink, guys?
Know-It-All: When another player’s character comes to you for advice and you tell them
what you think is best, they get +1 forward when following your advice and
you mark experience if they do.
Come one come all for your +1! It won't hurt a bit!
Talks-to-Trees |
That's what I figured :p. Trees are bad at wiggling!
Honestly, with the party setup, that's a great choice. Granted... it's also a super xp farm and may wind up being an issue. As an example, every time blib uses metal hurlant, he could ask you for a name. Or a target. You get the idea. It really probably should be spout lore or discern realities related if it isn't. That being said... Why wouldn't talks want to ask for advice from the most brilliant goblin ever?
Blibberblab |
Lots of Dungeon World move seem to assume the players aren't munchkins. But players will surprise you. I had a barbarian player who took Destruction as one of his Herculean Appetites, which let him roll 1d6+1d8 instead of 2d6 when he was destroying stuff. First fight he gets into, I figured that chopping people into bits counted as destruction, but nope, player said he didn't think it counted.
Plus DW leveling doesn't grant a lot; one new move, maybe a modifier increase, that's about it. No grinding for more HP or better attack bonuses.
Talks-to-Trees |
Maybe it's just my attachment to pathfinder and DnD, but Destruction reminds me of 'breaking objects' innately. not murdertime funtime. :P
The thing about the one he's choosing is that he -can't- munchkin it. But we might. :P It's literally not in his hands.
Blibberblab |
It's totally in his hands. He gets to give us advice, doesn't say the advice needs to make sense or be easy to do. If Retzak gets sick of us mooching off him, he can say that the best course of action is to let him enchant our shadows into horrific creatures, or something equally dangerous.
