Given what I'd said about Ro's actions before, I went with a round that doesn't carry things much further.
Since she ran around that fog rather than through it she had a longer distance to travel. I figure that puts her at the barrels on the other side just moments before the spells is dismissed.
She wasn't focusing on the goblins so much since they seemed to be content to stand inside and plink with their bows. The bigger danger in her mind was the person they'd seen by the barrels blundering into the goblins and she was concentrating on preventing that.
I doubt she would identify the spell cast by Lia based on a vague light flash in the fog, or even that it was a spell since as far as she knows Lia is still down the street a ways.
So she finds the person first. Sees the situation when the spell is dismissed and is surprised by Lia's presence. The goblins are down but she doesn't know why or what their status is.
That will be all for Ro until she sees something that clarifies the situation for her

Lia Tani |

Normally, since it's about Kira, I'd hasten to hurry long. I'll withhold that action, since you obviously want to be alone right now, Ro.
But I must say, I'd much prefer if you post such considerations in a way that does allow people to respond to it. It may not be meant like it, but it kind of feels like criticism of what happened, delivered in a one-way "monologue", more less. Certainly Gwyd can reply, even speak on Lia's behalf, but Lia herself has no option to respond to any of your thoughts...worse, if you aim to set up a "barrier" between us, she'd likely not understand why you act differently all of a sudden and may draw wrong conclusions.
For the record, our mileages may definitely vary, but if I'm going to get killed, I'd much prefer dying in my sleep before being aware that I will die, over knowing I will be killed and waiting for it to happen while I'm fully aware of what is taking place...so that "ask what they want"-example is rather off-target, but I suspect you are aware of that, right?
Just my 2 cents.

Rojava Brishen |

Ah, no, that wasn't my intention at all. I'm very sorry if it came across that way. I might be particularly aware of some writing conventions in PbP since this is my first one.
So, a IC then OOC breakdown for clarification.
IC:
Rojava clearly wouldn't kill the goblins herself. That's well established I think. However she does get that others may see things differently and isn't convinced that one choice or the other is clearly better. It is very much an ethical grey area. She is shocked and troubled by it though. Ro isn't supportive of unnecessary bloodshed. Her Domain is Liberation and my working assumption is that her personality would reflect that. She is going to look negatively at anything that constrains the choices or actions of others without very clear benefits to the greater good. This situation sits very much on that line. Ro is ambivalent and concerned.
Why didn't she say anything on the spot? Partially it was because (there's some ambiguity here or I misread the sequence of events) the deed was done. Partially it was because Lia was obviously upset and she didn't want to further distress her. Partially it was a failure of courage. The fight was over and she wanted to be done with the whole thing. This is Ro's first exposure to violence of this type. Why did she talk to Gwyd? Because she is closer to him than anyone else and will tell him things she's not willing to share with anyone else.
I don't see any of this changing Rojava's relationship with Lia or Windsight at all.
OOC:
Actually I wasn't planning on the post at all, but when Gwyddym decided to come as well I decided to do it. My goal was to do two things.
1. Better develop Ro and Gwyd's relationship.
2. Let Rojava talk about broader ethical beliefs re: Liberation and alignment (CG), serious stuff, and better define her personality.
I actually worked pretty hard to keep Ro out of Lia and Windsight's way so they could kill the goblins. I had her spend a couple of rounds idling with other busywork and playing obtuse. Short of a bizarre change of Rojava's personality, that's the best I could give you.
As for myself I don't care at all about the goblins one way or another. That said I think the divine nature of the campaign PC's is an interesting aspect that should get attention. The PC's are in some way exemplars of a faith and that will mean ethical and moral concerns will be present, maybe more so than usual. PC's aren't all paladins, but behavior will matter more than usual. The faiths vary even if they are all good aligned (except possibly the case of Abadar) and differences in philosophy between PC's will exist. Being able to agree to disagree in some areas and still work to together as friends will be an important ability for PC's to demonstrate.

Will update Gameplay tomorrow or tomorrow night, long day today.
As far as reactions to slay or not to slay, there will always be differences of opinions on courses of actions. The fog of war and initial reactions to battle may have blunted more direct confrontations. Obviously the God touched do not all see eye to eye on how to handle situations! This will be good RP fodder as we move forward through the adventure and similar situations potentially come up again.

Rojava Brishen |

If anyone caught the easter egg that was the last little set of lyrics posted for Ro, they didn't comment. So, just to be clear, all of Rojava's lyrics absolutely are NOT original work by me. They absolutely are shamelessly stolen without permission from existing songs with a few word changes to make them context appropriate.
2 word hint for that last one: penpals, anime. :)

Does that make Draven's alignment Lawful Lawful? Awful Lawful? :p
Yeah, I am surprised that there wasn't more interest in the spot. ROTRL is always popular it seems, and the character creation guidelines are luxurious.

Drasven Hammers |

Oww leave teh beard alone!
Lawful Neutral is what I am.
Maybe Lawful Silly as well.

Yin, Daughter of Nug |

"We will get along splendidly! I'm CHAOTIC SHINY and Lia's Patron Saint! She thinks Desna is speaking through her but I'm not really a butterfly most of the time!"
And what a plot twist THAT would be...
"Stupid human. It's not a proper plot twist after I've already revealed it. Unless you want to consider this foreshadowing and lampshade-hanging..."

As am I but good for you as you are in. And good for me as I don't have to review a bunch of submissions!

Drasven Hammers |

Here is Drasven fully stated out sans Equipment as I assume I'm coming to Sandpoint based on studies....not for war.
Drasven is a serious individual and may takes things too literally at times.
Tends to favor frontlines only because he wants first pick of the loot and appraise them a trait that may not endear him to his companions.

Drasven Hammers |

I don't know how much gold is being given and though he's a warpriest, his field of study is business.
War can be fought on many fronts afterall all wars require gold.

Drasven Hammers |

Equipment purchased.
Yes Abacus as well. :P
Just tell me when would you like your newest accountant aka healer aka gold sucker to post in.

I'll bring you in when I have a chance to post IC, have to work late tonight so may be tomorrow.

The Wyrm Ouroboros |

Oh, cool!! Just found this 3d set of Sandpoint on a quick search for the map!!

Rojava Brishen |

Yes, those are great maps! Just as easy to navigate as the flat map, but they do a much better job of giving a feel for what the town is like.

Rojava Brishen |

@DMD: I don't know if it's the same with the other players, but this campaign isn't listed in the Campaigns section of my profile. Is there a way, a switch to flip or something, that can get it listed? Thanks

Matrim of Shadows |

It's listed for me... DMD, try to make him inactive then Ro, dot again in a day. That might work.

Rojava Brishen |

Ah, okay. Thanks!
While on the subject, is there a way to remove dead campaigns from the list?

Drasven Hammers |

You could either get the owner to list it as inactive or write in to take over the thread yourself and then list it as inactive.

DMD |

Will try to get to that today.

Karina of the Flame |

Ugh. Still feeling pretty lousy. But I think I'm coherent enough to get some posts together. Been taking care of sick toddlers while sick doesn't leave much energy (physical or mental) to catch up on PbP. I've fallen asleep while crafting posts several times, only to have the situations change by the time I wake. Hope to have something up soon.

DMD |

Not feeling too hot myself today. Still need a post from Windsight as well.
I'll give him till tomorrow then post for him to move combat on.

Drasven Hammers |

May the blessings of all that is good be upon you and wish you well on the road to recovery.
Though seriously if you're still ill, take a longer break.

Lia Tani |

One among you already found it out(and really warmed my heart with the PM inquiry)...so I'll make it public here, too, since honestly, my posting frequency was impacted across the board.
The reason is this little thing, which will probably keep me from doing more than an occasional post until the end of next week, when work resumes and I expect my posting rates to pick up again.

Drasven Hammers |

Well now I see that Congratulations are in Order!
CONGRATUALTIONS!!!!!!!

Matrim of Shadows |

Congratulations. I'm expecting my first in July... If my wife doesn't kill me first. :3

DMD |

Congrats, I've been busy all weekend with a slightly older version of the same thing :-)
If the needle I/C does not move by tomorrow night, I will move game along :-)

DMD |

Who are we waiting for?
No one, its an open scene so whoever wants to chime in may chime in search the crypt etc.

Lia Tani |

Thanks a plenty, from me and little Lilith.
It may seem weird, but I really appreciate this kind of positive reinforcemnt provided by online feedback, here at paizo...maybe because you guys are "real people" as opposed to people everywhere else online. ;)

Matrim of Shadows |

Yeah. Sometimes these games feel more real than facebook posts... Lilith is a good name. I am waiting to find out what my baby will be, but won't know until my wife goes back to the hospital this month...

Gwyddym Soarsong |

Same here Matrim, on 3/23 we should know if we're having two girls, two boys, or a boy and a girl. Babies are exciting!
I also really like Lilith, very pretty name!

Rojava Brishen |

So many babies in such a small group! As a veteran with an 8 year old, I'll go ahead and wish you all sufficient sleep, an absence of colic, and a minimum of spousal disputes brought on by frayed nerves! :)

DMD |

I sent Windsight and Karina PM's as they have not posted I/C in a while. For now we will move on and assume they are along for the ride.
If that does not change in the next few weeks I will make a decision as to what to do.
For now though we are done at the crypt and its time for you all to decide where to go next. Keep in mind it is likely that you will be able to locate major NPC's more readily now that the raid has been repelled.

Rojava Brishen |

From my notes on gameplay developments it looks like we have three things to do at this point.
1. Talk to Father Zantus about the crypt
2. Talk to the Sheriff about the attack
3. Go find Aldern Foxglove, the guy with the dead dog. He's promised to "repay" us for saving his life.
Anything that I missed? Any preferences on the order? I think I would choose 1, 3, 2 myself. Repayment sounds more fun than time with the sheriff :p
@DMD: What time of day is it now?

Gwyddym Soarsong |

I would agree with 1, 3, 2. I think the sheriff will have plenty going on, so we can delay that meeting a touch.
