*nods again*
Yeah, I kinda had a feeling it might just be sheer fabric.

I think it's embroidery on a silky front panel. It looks to me that there's a collar up above it so I think it's always been a light colored panel and a LOT less cleavage is actually on display than at first glance.
It's a disadvantage of art in general and the clingy clothing style of art in particular. My guess is it is a tatted lace accent.

Yeah the fabric and gravity defying fashion available in a magic rich environment would make for some interesting designs......hmmm
Wednesday Daud |
Yeah, and I don't mind when it's presented as fashion for the sake of allure in a social setting, rather than everyday adventuring wear, or *shudder* battle wear.
I think I read somewhere on these forums once about a Wizard who had Ioun Stones attached to Pasties.
Wednesday Daud |
No, but having them orbit where you want them to or having them spin on pasties would be up to personal taste.
Having them orbit certain areas wuould set "having their own gravitational pull" type jokes though so it depends on if you'd want to avoid those or embrace em.
And the spinning? Well, spinning makes everything better.

Well, since you insist... :)
Castle Falkenstein was first published in 1994, when White Wolf was king and six years before D&D 3.0 and the OGL would change the world of RPGs. It wasn't the first RPG set in the steampunk genre (that would probably be Space: 1889) but it was, in my opinion, the best. Falkenstein told the story of Tom Olam, an artist from our world who gets swept to an alternate Earth during its Victorian era. It is a world where fiction, magic, and strange technology are all real. So, Phileas Fogg of "Around the World in 80 Days" might end up helping Jules Verne (Science Minister of France in that world) solve a problem involving renegade sorcerers who are in league with Karl Marx's anarchists!
Since the entire game is written by Olam, it is all IC. The crunch. The fluff. Everything. And, because dice are low class and boorish, it is played with cards.
The whole thing was put together by Mike Pondsmith of R. Talsorian Games. If the name sounds familiar, that'd be because he's the Guest of Honor at GenCon this year. He also designed Cyberpunk 2020, Teenagers from Outer Space, Dream Park, and Mekton.
Seriously, I can't tell you what a BIG deal this is for me, even if its only a little deal in the world of gaming.

You would be excited about that.

Hey, you're getting paid to do what you love. How can you not get excited about that? :D
Sounds like fun and I wish you guys all the luck I can spare.
Terri Riverrun |
Sorry to do this, but I'm going to have to drop out. I've been feeling like I'm running on empty lately, and I need to regroup and refocus. Unfortunately, this means that I'm dropping out of several games I'm in and this is one of them.
Tolenn |
Indeed, you'll be missed, Terri. Take care.

I've slept since we've originally talked to the non-psycho wererats, but I believe we were wanting to investigate the original murder and see if the WR was murderered unprovoked or if he attacked the topsiders first.
At least, that's what I assumed we were doing, but I've slept since then.

Ooo, Tolenn, you might like Feat this from Divine Anthology:
Although the Dawnflower is the goddess of healing and redemption, she is not a goddess of peace, and her followers are taught that combat may be the only way to ensure the safety of those who look to the faith for protection. In such situations, the faithful of Sarenrae are expected to end combat swiftly and efficiently, to avoid drawing out the pain and agony of battle. When one can end a battle without resorting to killing, the opportunity for redemption of the defeated foe still remains. The pages of Dawnflower’s Mercies teach methods by which those who serve Sarenrae as soldiers can vanquish enemies in combat without killing them, and encourage those who follow the teachings held within to offer those they take prisoner the chance to be welcomed into Sarenrae’s arms.
Initial Benefit: You take no penalty on attack rolls for using a scimitar to deal nonlethal damage. If your attack with the scimitar would normally deal additional damage (such as via sneak attack, the f laming weapon special ability, or the like), this additional damage can be nonlethal damage. You can also alter spells with the fire, good, or light descriptor and inf lict spells so that the damage they deal is nonlethal damage instead. You can choose to apply this effect as the spell is cast.
Advanced Prerequisites: Great Fortitude, Weapon Focus (scimitar), Heal 10 ranks.
Advanced Benefit: Once per round as you strike a foe with a weapon and deal nonlethal damage with that attack, you regain 1d6 hit points as the warmth of Sarenrae’s approval and the conviction that you are doing the right thing to minimize suffering infuses your body and soul. If the attack that dealt nonlethal damage was from a scimitar, you instead regain 2d6 hit points. You can gain the benefit of this healing only once per round, regardless of how many successful attacks you make with the weapon.

Blog based Player's Guide for the Hardcover, it's got the new traits.
Wednesday Daud |
They apparently decided to make the Love Lost trait even sadder,
Someone you loved was knifed to death in a dark alley one night. You were called to the scene by the Korvosan Guard to identify the body, and as rough as that was for you, you also noticed a ring was missing from your loved one's finger. Whoever murdered your loved one stole that ring—you're convinced of it. You've done some investigation on your own and recently found the ring for sale at a local merchant's shop. To your great frustration, you can't yet afford the 500 gp to buy it back, but the merchant did tell you from whom he purchased the ring: a man named Gaedren Lamm. It seems likely this criminal killed your loved one, or at the very least, he knows who did. The only problem is finding him.
Choose one of the following benefits. All Alone: The murder victim was a lover. With your lover's death, a part of you died as well, leaving you haunted, grim, and prone to dark musings. You gain a +1 trait bonus on Intimidate checks, and Intimidate is a class skill for you.
It also fixes something that annoyed the f%*$ out of me. The original didn't mention the price so I found it aggravating that Wednesday couldn't get the ring back despite starting with over 100g, how f~%*ing expensive is that ring?!?!
And now we know. I'm gonna assume he found the ring in his travels and gave it to Lorraine rather than go out and spend 500g for that part of their wedding, cause f&@& that nonsense.
That or the merchant is just being a cruel dick for charging that much.

Finally got my copy, so let's see.
