"Ha!" Grey cries triumphantly as he sees his blows finally strike true.
Grey’s attack to the golem’s interior leg armatures struck deep. Tubes snapped, octarine flares burst and staggered the golem again.

Sapphiria slips away from the golem, hoping to get to a place where she can safely cast spells.

Sapphiria:
Yes they have 10’ reach.

Realizing the golem was being controlled, Alorah stares up, focusing on the space inside the construct's head and conjuring a brilliant burst of divinely powered light.
Casting a spell from the confinement of the rib cage, and with the head turning to and fro above her, made it a difficult task to make the shot.

Thrall's might roar of pain fills the room. The big half-orc, however, rejoices in the tides of battle, asking his patron to help him stand until his enemies are delivered.
Once restored by the Battle God, he rains retribution against the golden that just struck him, his face warped by the divine fury.
Thrall’s mighty blade crashed into and out of the Bone Golem, severing important ligaments and sending shattered bones flying. [ooc]The Golem staggered back a step.

Again Kelden held aloft his holy symbol channeling to reduce some of the wounds his companions were taking. channel energy: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 5) = 9

Once again, Knave lunges forward, trying to pull the golem down, making the golem an easier target for Taedric, and his allies. He bit hard, worrying and damaging the bones in the ankle, but couldn’t trip the Golem.
The hammer struck for modest damage, but the follow up bounced.

Arthas winces as one of the blows makes it through.
”Hold on Alorah!”
He swings his shield twice.
But he simply bounced off it twice, humerously.

Taedric releases the power crackling through him, the silver energy stops crackling over his body and he slumps slightly in the saddle from fatigue. "Fortunately, it didn't come to that," he says in a cheerful, though slightly winded, tone. He rubs the wolf's neck as he speaks, silently thanking his dearest companion for his aid.

The Paladin says while offering a hand to help Alorah up.

”M’Lady?”

"Cant take too long, we have about fifteen minutes before whatever vile spell here begins to regenerate all the dead we've slain so far. This building wasnt that big, it has to be close."

He said, taking a knee for a moment clutching his holy symbol to offer a quick prayer before getting himself ready. He slid his scimitar into its sheath and picked up the adamantine morningstar. It felt a bit strange in his hand but he knew how to use it, besides their new friends had been very capable so far.

He led the way further into the rooms intent on finishing this before the regeneration could continue.

"Its as miss Alorah said, if we can find the source and dispell it, the undead that have fallen will remain so."

Pressing further inward, the darkness retreated reluctantly, but before Radiance it had no choice. And after turning a corner the heroes came to the middle of the mausoleum, and the darkness fled.

Overhead, the roof had been broken and removed, revealing the oppressive sight of Groetus in the sky above you; the psychic weight of it overhead nearly unbearable.
Before you on the floor was the most intricate Magic Circle any of you had ever seen before. Two circles, one inside the other, with glyphs of power written in Abyssal blazed forth in an intense red glow.
Inside that, lines stretched back and forth to form an eight pointed star, the lines glowing an intense orange.
The innermost circle inside that shone in an incandescent yellow.
And in the very center, you saw a shallow three foot diameter basin filled with some kind of silvery liquid. The image it held was of Groetus, though in a somehow more clear image than that of the one overhead.

"Thank you, Sapphiria."

The evil circle they find afterwards brings some nasty memories to Thrall. He instinctively takes his hand to the marks left in his body that day, and wonders what would be the purpose of this one right here.

"I don't know much of these. I heard breaking the circle sometimes works, but the source I heard it from was not an expert."

”Let me know if I can make it undone Alorah.”

As you approach the circle for a better view, you feel a pressure pushing back against you. Much like the flow of water in a surf or river situation, and the closer you get, the more difficult it is to move towards it; until you cannot approach it closer than fifteen feet.

Alorah:
The design is astonishing; almost mythic in its complexity and power.
The outermost ring is the thickest, and inscribed with Abyssal glyphs.
You realize that this anchors the spell Antipathy. Eight times. Once for each ethos (alignment) excepting only the Chaotic and Evil.
This defense is difficult, but not unbeatable if you can boost your willpower up enough.
The middle circle will be much more difficult, as it anchors a Wall of Force there. It would be near impossible to beat, since you don't have a rod of absorption or a disintegrate spell; but if you can get someone who can overcome Hardness 30 (however difficult), you may be able to break through with main force.
The interior spell is difficult to understand; you are pretty sure it's purpose is to hold something powerful in. You don't see any way to defeat it's mythic level power... But the anchoring inlaid designs complexity might also be a weakness; if you can compromise it somehow.

He stood looking at the circle merely shaking his head. It appeared he should have spent more time studying magics in the temple and less scripture. He glanced to Alorah hoping she had the answer for how to solve this puzzle.

"Same here Thrall same here. It seems layered, im not sure the one casting I have to dispell it will work on all the layers."

"Layered doesn't even begin to describe it." Alorah mutters in amazement. "As this is, it's also a thing of beauty, almost mythic in complexity and power. See the outermost ring? That stacking of Abyssal glyphs is the anchor for an Antipathy spell, replicated eight times until only the most twisted and chaotic souls can pass through unharmed. It would require multiple dispelling or a practically unassailable will."

She pauses to catch a breath and continues on, eyes glittering with fascination. "The next part will be really hard to deal with. The middle circle anchors a Wall of Force near impossible to beat, without a rod of absorption or a disintegrate spell, though watching how hard some of you hit those golems, it's possible to break through with raw force."

"If we can get past that...well the inner circle....it's a binding of some kind, the type of powerful magic that you only read about in legends and myths. But as intricate as it is, it might be possible that even something small could screw it up. Oh, and the binding is keeping something in."
