He hit! But when the light died away, there was a mere scorch mark (not enough damage to penetrate DR).

Taedric Starfell calling Knave and mounting are free, so drawing bow as a move, challenging as a swift, then firing.
His arrow hit true, penetrating the scaly hide to draw some blood, though not as much as you think it should have.

(npc) Arthas ran hard, racing towards where the creature was landing to engage the crusaders.

The Beast of Drezen landed with a heavy THUMP that shook the ground under your feet.
The creature screamed a challenge and breathed out a blast of freezing wind and shards of jagged ice that turned two of the biggest pavilions into shredded scraps that were suddenly frozen in solid ice.
Taedric, Knave and Thrall are close enough to have to make a Reflex save DC19 (half) or take 6d8 + 2d8 ⇒ (2, 6, 4, 3, 5, 3) + (2, 7) = 32 cold and piercing damage.

Only movement, up till where he thinks he's just out of reach. No need to go YOLO all by himself to be eaten in one round when the chimera acts :P

searing light untyped damage:
I was under the impression that searing light is untyped damage because it doesnt have the fire descriptor in the spell like say fireball.
Searing light
Focusing divine power like a ray of the sun, you project a blast of light from your open palm. You must succeed on a ranged touch attack to strike your target.

A creature struck by this ray of light takes 1d8 points of damage per two caster levels (maximum 5d8).

An undead creature takes 1d6 points of damage per caster level (maximum 10d6), and an undead creature particularly vulnerable to bright light takes 1d8 points of damage per caster level (maximum 10d8).

A construct or inanimate object takes only 1d6 points of damage per two caster levels (maximum 5d6).

where as fireball (I have bolded the differences)

A fireball spell generates a searing explosion of flame that detonates with a low roar and deals 1d6 points of fire damage per caster level (maximum 10d6) to every creature within the area. Unattended objects also take this damage. The explosion creates almost no pressure.

You point your finger and determine the range (distance and height) at which the fireball is to burst. A glowing, pea-sized bead streaks from the pointing digit and, unless it impacts upon a material body or solid barrier prior to attaining the prescribed range, blossoms into the fireball at that point. An early impact results in an early detonation. If you attempt to send the bead through a narrow passage, such as through an arrow slit, you must “hit” the opening with a ranged touch attack, or else the bead strikes the barrier and detonates prematurely.

The fireball sets fire to combustibles and damages objects in the area. It can melt metals with low melting points, such as lead, gold, copper, silver, and bronze. If the damage caused to an interposing barrier shatters or breaks through it, the fireball may continue beyond the barrier if the area permits; otherwise it stops at the barrier just as any other spell effect does.

Seeing the lack of any real damage to the creature with his spell he merely hurried as quick as he could ot close with it. His friends with martial skills would need the gifts of healing provided to him by Sarenrae to be sure.

I'm having some technical problems and I'm no longer able to access Roll20.

Not sure if that's a double move or not.

Grey: A 'straight line' for this case means if you have a starting point and ending point that you could connect with a single line with no turns. That line can be diagonal relative to the map, you just can't go around enemies or turn corners.

Grinding his teeth to withstand the pain, he asks for some divine help and his sword becomes lighter and swifter. He lifts it up only to let it fall with tremendous strength on the Chymera's neck. One of its necks, that is.

Taedric's armour and swiftness allow him to dodge the Dragon's head's bite -- unfortunately, opening him up for a wicked bite from the panther's head. He quickly strikes at the beast as it steps away from him to attack Thrall.

Am I 15' away from the Chimera or 20'? 15' would let Taedric 5' step and get a full attack with his reach weapon.


At this moment, Taedric is 15 feet away from the Beast of Drezen.

Haven't been rolling the free trip because I figure it's impossible -- but then realized I *could* roll a 20, so...

That's the 4th mythic point spent. Almost out of extra-special juice.

(Taedric and Knave lashed out with AoOs, and Taedric landed a hit while Knave missed.)
The mythic chimera tore into Thrall with a vengeance. The dragon head bit into him for 14 slashing, the Panther head bit into him for 11 slashing, and the both of them together lifting him off the ground preparing to tear him limb from limb. Then the goat head slammed into him, dealing 6 damage and flinging him back to land in a heap.

Grey continues to barrel along in hopes of engaging the beast shortly with another full run.

Thrall steps forward, asks for some divine help and his sword becomes lighter and swifter. He lifts it up only to let it fall with tremendous strength on the Chymera's neck.
The sword bit deep into the chimeras thick hide, and the chimera screamed to deafen all in hearing range as blood fountained into the air, but the chimera kept his head mostly intact.

Alorah stops her run forward, casting a spell and conjuring an arrow of acid that goes streaking toward the massive chimera. The arrow struck true, but the liquid dripped down its hide without doing damage (acid resistance 10).

Taedric notes the distance, and houses his lance, directing Knave to pick up speed while he draws his cold iron blade.
His blade struck deeply, dealing great damage. Knave also struck true, dealing some damage, but it is impossible to trip the chimera.

(npc) Arthas ran until he was just past the frozen field, then raised his shield and prepared to charge.

(npc) Sapphiria moved up 30 ft and cast Protection from Evil

Now focused entirely on Thrall, the chimera attacked him with everything it had.

Panther bite: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (11) + 14 = 25 vs Thrall flat footed AC for a possible 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10 slashing damage.

Soltengrabbe swung around and took a step towards Taedric.

(npc) Thrall shouted and made a Fleet Charge, the creature missed the AoO, and landed a huge hit on the mythic creature. The damage severed the dragons head completely and the whole creature collapsed, thrashing about as it died messily.
