She breathes deeply, steadying her nerves, letting the past two failed swings melt away as she sizes up the enemy before her, letting loose a stroke at Bug 5 after she finds her range.

Blinking his eyes until the spots faded, Rhaym glanced about, but saw no threats.
Nodding with approval, he donned his coat from his pack again and tugged it straight.
"Yes. Very good."
He looked around at his companions.
"Is anyone injured?"


TACTICAL OVERVIEW

Three of the beetles have two glowing phosphorescent glands that can be removed and used as torches with a Survival DC15 or Heal check DC10.

Looking around, you see scorch marks on the sandy shore.

Survival DC12 or Perception DC20:
The scorch marks are all that remain of patches of (harmless) mold that previous people burned away.

DC 20 Survival check:
You spot the tracks of several people who climbed up onto the ten foot ledge leading to the East.

Doctor Rhaym opened up his valise and felt around inside it amidst the rattling of glass bottles in racks.
He pulled out two test tubes filled with a warm golden yellow and faintly glowing fluid. He hands one each to Celest and Lilly.
"Here you go. Be sure to take the whole dose, and keep the glassware wherever you can. I can refill them given time." He said pompously.

They taste of sunlight and butterflies, and are potions of Cure Light Wounds, healing 1d8+1.

Lilly takes the proffered potion, sniffing at it for a moment before downing it in one gulp. She sighs in contentment, feeling her multiple wounds start to close up. She stows the glass vial in her pack, cushioning it as best she can. Once everyone is settled in, she motions for Flynn to lead the way.

The way upstream, NorthEast is open, but you can also proceed directly East down a passageway full of stalagmites if you can climb the ten foot high cliff.
It is some kind of sandstone and crumbly (Climb DC20) but ladders, grappling hooks and rope can help with that.

Flynn winks at Elise.

Lilly gives Flynn a look as he leans in close...the look doesn't appear to invite him any closer. She smirks as Celest apparently overheard the comment, nodding at the Doc's agreement with her logic. "Very well, gallant one. I will lead." She chuckles, waving Thomas over and proceeding to lead with the warrior down the northeast corridor.


Your expedition gathers itself together and heads out upstream.

Wading through echoing chambers shin deep, you again feel that strange migraine headache that has plagued you all off and on for the last week or so. After a few minutes it seems to fade again.

Moving on, you find a shallow creek runs through the middle of this cavern, while to the south a stony bank rises up from the water.
Thick carpets of green and gray mold and fungus grow on the bank, particularly around a trio of three-foot-high, foul-smelling mounds.

Elise sloshes uncomfortably through the creek, pinching her nose from the foul stench. "Ugh, let's stay far away from that mold!" She edges toward the opposite wall.
