Lilly Peregrine |

Lilly's lips curl up in an amused smile as the man whips out his blade. He was quick, she had to admit, but she didn't think the thin rapier would hold up well against the much heavier and longer blade she held. She hadn't meant to act so hostile, in fact, but such was life. She pauses for a moment as Celest jumps between her and Flynn, waiting for the Doc's explanation as Elise pops out of the water.
Seeing the man get a far off expression, she backs off a step, then her eyes widen in understanding as she sees Elise. She looks to Doc, "He offered our names before he was spellstruck. He seems a fop and a fool, but perhaps he is legit?" She calmly waits for the man to regain his wits, confident she could take him down, if needed.

Notorious Flynn Ryder |

"Mam, I am not a fool and no top cuts a figure like this! Look, I am not tryin to get with no dudes. I am down with ladies only. And yes I am legit and yes I am supposed to be here. I am your box man, okay!?"
"Well not like your box box, you know, locks and traps and stuff like that. Sophia and the android contracted me in."
"So can we dispense with all the---hostilities. Geez!"

Thomas Eldrich |

"Everyone just Calm down, no need to come to Blows, I'm sure Mr Ryder here has no intentions in Harming us. He looks like a man who would not Favor these odds... one man against all of us is surely a Poor Bet."
"Could you repeat the last thing you said, and please, no slang. Speak in Proper Common.. Who contracted you in?"

Lilly Peregrine |

Lilly's brow furrows in further amusement at the man's words. He was gutsy, for sure, but who would still carry on about the impressive figure he cut while being under such duress? And what was this nonsense about trying to not get with dudes or whatever he said? As he speaks her former companions' names, she calms further, lowering the point of her sword to rest on the ground.
She looks to Thomas, "Mine & Doc's former companions. He's either very well-informed, or he's for real. There's enough of us here to make sure he doesn't cause trouble. Let's continue."

Celest Slysword |

"Lay off whom!? I'm not touching anyone here I am just trying to not get tied up. Well---tied up and left for dead that is---Wow, are all you guys dark haired? That's kinda hot actually."
"It's hard to tell in this light, but the Doc's a dirty blonde."
"He seems a fop and a fool, but perhaps he is legit?"
"I have a cousin who's a fop--not that there's anything wrong with that." And just like that, Flynn was banished to the Friend Zone.
"Sophia and the android contracted me in."
"'Adenoid?' What's that?"

Elise Emeria |

As the party discusses fops and fools, Elise peers forward into the distance. Although it was dark, Elise could still see perfectly fine - at least for a little distance. Darkvision 60ft Perception: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (6) + 0 = 6
"'Adenoid?' What's that?"
"An android is like a clockwork, except they have a mind, sort of. It's a rather bland and featureless mind, though. There aren't any delicious pleasures or juicy secrets to be found, as far as I can tell." Elise catches herself, or rather her darker self, leaking through. There I go again, analogizing minds with food. "Anyway, it can be nice to be with an android. There's something calming about having a quiet mind around."

Lilly Peregrine |

Lilly turns to regard Thomas for a moment, "Who knows? The sorceress seemed a bit flaky, and I won't begin to try to understand the motivations of a robot man. They are not here, and you are, and that is what matters." Her dark eyes rest on the man a moment longer, waiting for further questions. If none are forthcoming, she returns her attention to the corridor, strapping on her shield in the process.

Notorious Flynn Ryder |

Recovered from the dazing and satisfied that he isn't going to be summarily executed, Flynn sheaths his blade with a flourish.
"Well to be honest I am sure there was some kind of miscommunication. I am either here a bit too early or I arrived a bit late--- long story---Anyway, I've been here long enough to dry out at least. I knew I was looking for a Doc and Lilly as the rest of the group. . . Well if this is it let's get on with the introductions and then the mission."

Lilly Peregrine |

"The first wise words you have spoken, sir." She says this mildly, possibly meaning it as a compliment, likely not taken as such. Once the group was assembled, and everyone more or less agreed that the way was safe, she starts to lead the group down the dry passageway, longsword and shield leading the way.

Lilly Peregrine |

Luckily for her she is in the lead, as her cheeks turn a light pink at the man's words and their double meaning. She replies without looking back, "I'm relieved to hear you are so diligent in your duties, sir." Perhaps Sophia and Ramshackle were enemies after all, to have hired such an ally and then leave so suddenly.

Celest Slysword |

"Hey, don't worry Lilly---I'm watchin your six."
And Celest has got his. Knife at the ready.

Elise Emeria |

"And perhaps some strange and dangerous aliens. If we're lucky." Elise is strangely cheerful and earnest as she says this.

Lilly Peregrine |

Lilly shakes her head at the strange and eager banter, keeping her attention forward. Not much good had come from the strange technologies in this land, it seemed to her. Might be best for all involved to just pull the proverbial plug on it all and get in line with the rest of Golarian.
She banishes these thoughts. Four teams had disappeared down in these depths, and she was determined to not become a member of a fifth.

Notorious Flynn Ryder |

"Eh, I can do without the aliens, thanks. If they are still down here, this is their house---and we know how welcome burglars are in anyone's home."

Celest Slysword |

Aleens? Celest thought. Then it all made sense. It's local slang for women, like 'Sheilas!' Elise after all seemed a bit of a tomboy. Not that there was anything wrong with that.

Doctor Rhaym |

"Alright enough!" Barked Doctor Rhaym.
"I don't know where Ramshackle or Sophia are, but we cannot wait for them."
He glared at Thomas, and Flynn in particular.
"I don't know what you were promised, but you only get ONE share of the Council's reward, same as everybody else in our Expedition. Got it?"

From cracks and crevices, dog sized beetles with glowing red/yellow spots on its carapace scuttle, their antennae quivering in your direction. It looks like they were attracted by your commotion.

Move to square directly north of Flynn. Ready attack action on first bug to come in range.

Elise Emeria |

They're flat-footed, right? Hoping to cast and move without taking an AOO. If they aren't flat-footed, Elise would want to move to Flynn's square before casting.
"Glowing beetles? How strange." Elise tries to stun the minds of the nearest ones using the brightness of the stars. Color Spray targeting beetles 1, 2 and 3. Will DC 15 or else the following:

Notorious Flynn Ryder |

"Well of course I was promised an equal share Doc. No more, no less. Great all your lip flapping called in the beattles."
Flynn prepares for battle drawing a dagger.
"Damn, if your flop house had bedbugs this size, I'd sleep outside---alone even."
"And don't you worry Lilly --- I've got plenty of ideas! Heh heh"
"Whoa! Nice trick angel girl."
Flynn tries to flank with Celest.
