Lilly Peregrine |

Fort: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Notorious Flynn Ryder |

Well, she is looking for a slimy frog-thing. ;)
We are so the Bad News Bears of adventuring parties.
Yeah I was just playing into the comical nature of the scene. Its almost a Montey Python skit. Bad ass adventurers get their asses kicked three times just inside the front door! Even Castle Caldwell (Basic D&D first adventure) had at least one empty room near the entrance =)

1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 3 + 2 = 14
1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
if flanking additional: 1d6 ⇒ 3
"No! no NO! Don't start flinging bombs around---literally blindly. I swear to the gods, with all you people ,though admittedly using---and in---exceptional form, running around here swinging about---it will be a miracle if we don't kill one of our own!"

Doctor Rhaym |

”Doc! You don't have any 'Blind-B-Gone' do you?"
"What? No! I have never heard something so unscientific in my life! Now you keep calling for help; do you need a bomb or not?"

DM-Camris |

It takes about an hour for the blinded peoples vision to clear.
When you search the area, you discover the man's body is mostly eaten. Little remains to identify the body as that of one of the thugs from the second expedition, for the blindheim has eaten most of it and has ruined its armor and clothing in the process.
A belt pouch on the body’s hip is still intact.

Doctor Rhaym |

Doctor Rhaym pulls out a couple of potions of Cure Light Wounds (1d8+1) and gives one to Lilly and one to Celest.
"Is everyone alright to go on? I am about out of healing.
"Remember, the Council gave us the use of Master Baine's manor until we can recover him, so we can rest there if needed."

Notorious Flynn Ryder |

"Well that battle wasn't a complete loss. The dead guy has 42 gp, a silver unholy symbol of Zyphus worth a few coins, and two water-tight potions of cure light wounds. Not a bad bit of loot."
"And I agree with Lilly. It was this hard to make it into the front door. I'm not ready to pull out just yet if we can avoid it. I guess we can use these potions in a pinch if we have to."

Celest Slysword |

Doctor Rhaym pulls out a couple of potions of Cure Light Wounds (1d8+1) and gives one to Lilly and one to Celest.
"Is everyone alright to go on? I am about out of healing.
"Remember, the Council gave us the use of Master Baine's manor until we can recover him, so we can rest there if needed."
"A manor!?" Celest weighs the options in her head: Sheets, a bed and silverware, or gold and treasure. A manor though has its own treasure! And rarely holds piles of attack-trained crap.
"I'm down for the manor."

DM-Camris |

Pressing on, there are a couple of passages leading out of the southernmost section of this cavern, one leading straight west, and one leading southwest.
When you check out the western tunnel, you find that a collection of stalactites and stalagmites choke this low ceilinged cavern, making it difficult to squeeze between them.
Matching stalactites close in from the five-foot-high ceiling, giving the impression of a maw of needlelike teeth bearing down on one another.
A dead half-orc sprawls on the ground near the cave’s eastern entrance, which opens out about twenty feet over the beech where the fire beetles tried to swarm you.
The half-orc was a female, and has been stripped of weapons, armor and anything else of value and left to the rats and beetles.
You confirm she was slain by multiple stab wounds from a short-bladed weapon like a dagger.
You recall that this is Parda Garr. She was a popular brawler in town, and that she was one of those who traveled with several thugs into the caverns in an expedition.
Almost everyone called her a friend, and many felt that her falling
in with the thugs was going to be her end—turns out, they were right.

Notorious Flynn Ryder |

Know Local: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
"I think this one used to be female . . . She looks kinda familiar . . . No pretty sure I didn't sleep with her---Wow I'd have to be really really drunk."
"Which has been known to happen---in rare instances of course."
"Dang she got shanked something fierce."

Lilly Peregrine |

Lilly arches an ebon brow at Ryder's babbling, but otherwise has nothing to add about their new find. "Perhaps we should check out the southwest tunnel. And keep an eye out for a dagger-wielding murderer."
