Yeah I was just playing into the comical nature of the scene. Its almost a Montey Python skit. Bad ass adventurers get their asses kicked three times just inside the front door! Even Castle Caldwell (Basic D&D first adventure) had at least one empty room near the entrance =)

Flynn weakly stabs away while trying to keep out of Lilly and Celest's way. When suddenly, even in the middle of combat, the rake realizes he can't get caught checking them out.

Flynn watches as one of his wild swings connects; the frog creature stiffens in shock, gurgles and then slowly slides off his blade.

The battle is over.


It takes about an hour for the blinded peoples vision to clear.

When you search the area, you discover the man's body is mostly eaten. Little remains to identify the body as that of one of the thugs from the second expedition, for the blindheim has eaten most of it and has ruined its armor and clothing in the process.
A belt pouch on the body’s hip is still intact.

Contents:
It contains 42 gp, a silver unholy symbol of Zyphus worth 25 gp, and two water-tight potions of cure light wounds.

Pressing on, there are a couple of passages leading out of the southernmost section of this cavern, one leading straight west, and one leading southwest.

When you check out the western tunnel, you find that a collection of stalactites and stalagmites choke this low ceilinged cavern, making it difficult to squeeze between them.
Matching stalactites close in from the five-foot-high ceiling, giving the impression of a maw of needlelike teeth bearing down on one another.
A dead half-orc sprawls on the ground near the cave’s eastern entrance, which opens out about twenty feet over the beech where the fire beetles tried to swarm you.

The half-orc was a female, and has been stripped of weapons, armor and anything else of value and left to the rats and beetles.

You confirm she was slain by multiple stab wounds from a short-bladed weapon like a dagger.
