In the town of Torch, the settlement’s unignorable tower of violet flame has gone out. The only clue to its disappearance is a newly discovered cave dug nearby. Are you bold enough to unearth the otherworldly secrets that sleep beneath the city and reignite the fires of Torch?

Doctor Rhaym_____
"That will be enough of that, vermin." He declared.
The doctor pulled out a catalyst, popped it into a bomb shell, tapped it sharply to start it fizzing, and threw it at the Jinkin.
Bomb throw: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15 Direct hit! dealing 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 fire to the target and 5 fire to all surrounding squares.
The original gremlin shrieks as it burns to ash. Two other gremlins, injured by the bomb, burst from concealment frantically beating out the flames.

Lilly Peregrine_____
Lilly pursues, attempting to swing at the little bastard now that he had been scorched by the Doc's bomb.
Hitting one of the Jinkins, Lilly’s sword rebounded off of its flesh, leaving it only scratched.

Fiddling with the portal, Flynn is utterly stymied with this kind of door.
"You are about . . . to witness . . . Damn it! Come on!"

Again hitting the little fey, she leaves but a minor wound. Still, the creature feels it and turns a viscous glare upon her.

One of the jinkins rolled behind Lily and backstabbed her…
Needle flank attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21 Hit! for 1d3 - 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) - 1 + (4) = 5 filthy piercing damage.
While the one in front of her backstabbed Lily from the front.
Needle flank attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16 but it missed as she parried.

Meanwhile, another Jinkin appeared out of nowhere to backstab Flynn while he was occupied with the mechanism.
Needle attack vs. Flat Footed: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16 Hit! for 1d3 - 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) - 1 + (2) = 3 filthy piercing damage.

The warpriestess, in major trouble, lashes out with her blade, hoping to still at least one of the little bastards.

Flynn retaliates with a spear thrust.
Flynn is gratified to see his blow land, only to see it’s rubbery skin absorb all the damage.

Lilly Peregrine_____
The warpriestess, in major trouble, lashes out with her blade, hoping to still at least one of the little bastards.
She managed to land a blow with enough power to penetrate the skin of the wounded on. It is cut down.
Lilly continues stepping back, trying to escape the dangerous flank the little creatures have caught her in (up and right).

Rhaym_____
Rhaym attacks with his staff.
Flank staff attack: 1d20 + 0 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 0 + 2 = 6 But he missed wildly.

Enemies__________
One of the jinkins wrinkled its nose at Celest, snarled and attacked her…
Needle attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23 for a possible 1d3 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1 filthy piercing damage.

Meanwhile, the other Jinkin popped up to attack Flynn again.

Your eyes played tricks on you; on closer look, the little gremlin is spitted on Flynn's longspear, clawing feebly at you as it died.

"What are you waiting for? Kill them! Shouted Doctor Rhaym, boggled at the back and forth banter during the fight.
He opened a flask, popped in a catalyst, gave it a tap and threw it at the one attacking Celest.
Thrown bomb attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7 Miss!
It lands 1d8 ⇒ 3 just left of the target and explodes. It deals 5 points fire damage to Lilly and the jinkin, and singes the hair on Celest's neck.

Assuming that's enough to kill the thing (by the way are these all the same things?) Celest moves to J6 as she really doesn't have the movement, hit points or acrobatics chops to move where she needs to be.

"Lil, you oka--OH MY GODDESS. YOUR HAIR. Bwahahaha!!"


Celest spits the little guy on her blade. The thing squeels and stiffens; it's claws lash out in one last swipe, falling just short of her nose, then it sags in death.

The battle is over.

In the silence that follows, Doctor Rhaym straightened up, went over to Lilly and offered her a potion of Cure Light wounds (1d8+3).
"Ah, yes. I do apologize for the near miss." He said, looking everywhere but her.

What about all the other triangles? Or did you mean that particular battle is over?


Those black triangles are the dead bodies of the other gremlins.
I meant that this battle in this room is over; and in fact after a little checking around, you conclude that the gremlin infestation has been cleared.

She then turns to the others, her manner apologetic. "I'm sorry...I should have listened but I figured that such a little creature surely couldn't be dangerous. I will endeavor to do better next time."

Ready to go to the next doors!

"I don't believe we'll be able to do anything with this door;" He said, gesturing vaguely at the circular portal. "Flynn proved it cannot be opened."


You make your way back to where the skulks await your report.

"The jinkin gremlins have been dealt with. I cannot guarantee we found all the traps though." He said. "You mentioned something about a reward?"

Hopefully the reward is payola and not a knife in the back. I don't feel like getting buckwheated and dumped in a dumpster behind a two bit brothel by these Skulks.
