Ooh.

I'll need to see how much money we'll be sharing but I probably want to take you up on that, Yahirma, but not sure what is first priority for my yahoo.

Just so I can ponder, you craft?:

Boots of Elvenkind?
Belt of Strength +2?
Eyes of the Eagle?
Headband of Charisma +2?

I also need to address my armor needs as well. I need to get into light armor. I take mobility, I think, as a feat and already this medium armor costs me Evasion.

Maddok can forge you a nice suit of mithril breastplate, gilded and covered in ostentatious jewelry.

Female Half-Orc Sorcerer, 7th (Brass Draconic Bloodline)

First draft of updated profile is in place.

Added the following spells:

Vanish (1st) - 5 round invisibility. Appario will probably propose to Semenya when he sees this spell. :)
Resist Energy (2nd) - Bloodline spell. We already know just how useful it is.
Glitterdust (2nd) - Area effect blindness/reveal invisibility. No $%*@ SR checks.

Feats:

Extend Spell. This is primarily for use on Mage Armor - most of her damage causing spells are 1st level still, and this turns Mage Armor into a day long spell. When she picks up Acid Arrow at 7th level, this doubles the damage output of the spell (and at 8th, Extended Flaming Acid Arrow is a useful single target spell that will do 2d4+6 fire damage for 6 rounds...)

Female Changeling (Mauxi Mwangi) Mwangi Spiritualist 12

Yahirma is only caster level 5, so the headband and belt are out of the question for now. Once she hits level 8, she can craft or upgrade one as needed.

The boots and eyes/goggles should be no problem. Each would run you 1187.5 gp to produce.

Ah, I'm glad to see one of us getting Resist Energy; I forgot that you would receive it as a bloodline spell. Oh, the plight of a spontaneous caster...

Male thoradorian minotaur ranger (wild hunter) 5 [ HP 63/63 (0 NL) | AC 18 Tch 12 FF 17 | Fort +8 Ref +6 Will +5* | CMD 25* | Init +1 | Perc +8 | Effects: none ]

The caster level of the item is not the level required to craft it.

Yahirma can indeed craft headbands and belts.

Female Half-Orc Sorcerer, 7th (Brass Draconic Bloodline)

Semenya would be interested in a headband of Charisma. And a Cloak of Resistance. And a pair of Boots of Elvenkind.

She can't disarm traps or pick locks or pick pockets. She can serve as one heck of a lookout for Appario.

Those two magic swords make me weep, since I usually play full BAB classes.

Hmmm...is there a transfer weapon enchantment spell or process? A way to get that Keen onto Extortion? Obviously, I need to get Extortion to +1, but to also get it keened would be keen.

Hmmm...it appears you are right. Clearly intensive PFS and playing non-primary-casters has spoiled my familiarity with the item creation rules.

Here are some calculations for item creation:

Belt/Headband +2: 1900 gp
+5 Skill Item: 1187.5
Cloak of Resistance +1: 475 gp
Cloak of Resistance +2: 1900 gp

Well in my quest to apply structure to the universe I've constructed a spreadsheet with all the loot we collected throughout our time in the mayor's estate/dungeon.

Google Spreadsheet

I made some assumptions based on what people expressed interest in and what I assumed the party would go with (spreading out the healing consumables on the healers, selling off the useless ones, etc). If the sell column has a name in it that means you've already called dibs or I assumed you're taking it.

If any of this is incorrect let me know and I'll update it. If you want to call dibs on something or you'd rather sell something I put your name on, let me know. Are, over the course of the next few days we'll ID the remaining items marked with question marks. What are they?

Also, at the bottom is a total cash out sum and a party split sum. That will update as more of the stuff gets identified/appraised. I wouldn't write down a gold sum for the adventure until we've sorted everything out.

Maddok and the Beast are done. I might make some more changes depending on what the last few remaining unidentified items are, if we are selling them, and how much they are worth.

The loot sheet has been updated with a few more items from Are's last post.

The only things left to price are the four amethysts and the spellbook.

Female Half-Orc Sorcerer, 7th (Brass Draconic Bloodline)

If you're going with another level in Paladin, Appario, we might want to hold on to that Pearl of Power. You're the only one who can use it, though it will be a while.

Maddok pointed out that we're the All Charisma Casting League here.

Lolz.

As much as I admire your optimism, we'll be lvl 10 before I get a 2nd lvl spell. Far too long to hold onto an item when it's worth cash monies now towards stuff that will help me get to lvl 10 (which is another year of play away...at the minimum).

The IC thread was started a bit over a year ago (10/28/10) and we just now hit lvl 5, and just passed 3100 posts. Pretty amazing.

I feel blessed to have this still going and going so well.

Let's keep rocking it.

Heh, a year. That's awesome.

***

Currently, with things broken down as they are in the document, we're looking at ~32000 gp in net gold for a 6398 per character split.

You can probably safely spend that. That value might go up a little bit once we find out how much those gems Appario appraised are worth and the value of the spellbook.

Appario: One of the gardeners is a jewelry trader (and all of their professions are listed both in my profile and in the Campaign Info tab).

The amethysts are worth 150 gp each.

The spellbook contains 10 1st-level spells, 10 2nd-level spells, 7 3rd-level spells, and 3 4th-level spells. Most of them are related to summoning and necromancy.

Awesome.

I plan on selling the keen glaive using our bonus, magic +20% sell. No, not going to sell these piecemeal to get the bonus repeatedly.

Does anyone have a big scale item that they want to buy that wants the -20% off?

Female Half-Orc Sorcerer, 7th (Brass Draconic Bloodline)

In terms of priority, here's what Semenya wants:

Circlet of Charisma +2 (1900 GP)
Boots of Elvenkind +5 (1188 GP)
Cloak of Resistance +1 (475 GP)

She is contributing the potion of Disguise Self (or contributing it to the kitty if neither Appario nor Derek want it.) That's 5 extra GP apiece - Maddok, update the sheet accordingly. That brings the tally to 6403 GP. She has 540 GP unspent.

So - 6943-1900-1188-475=3380 unspent.

Semenya is willing to loan that money out to anyone who is looking to upgrade their weapons or armor.

It would only take 6400 GP to have Extortion enchanted to +1 keen with the 20% discount. I'm willing to contribute to that for a reasonable Abadaran rate of return.

Fond Wish Fulfillment Area:

Ring of Wizardry Type I. With the discount, 8,000 GP. With this and the headband, Semenya has 14 Magic Missile spells per day....

(If people feel like loaning Semenya some cash, that's what she's buying without any hesitation...)

Male Human (Taldan) Abadaran Militant 12

1d10 ⇒ 4 hp + 1 favored class = + 5 hp

Skills (+4):
+1 Perception
+1 Acrobatics
+1 Stealth
+1 Prof (Merchant)

Feat:
Mobility

Lay on Hands bonus: Sickened

Alias is updated, mostly.

Will do it again after I get buying and place orders for crafting.

Female Changeling (Mauxi Mwangi) Mwangi Spiritualist 12

Maddok, are you planning on taking Craft Magical Arms and Armor at some point, or would you prefer Yahirma (by taking said feat) assist you at the forge when crafting potent weapons and armor? I'm jumping back and forth regarding how to use my 5th level feat.

Semenya, are you sure you want the Boots of Elvenkind and not a Cloak of Elvenkind? The former boosts acrobatics, and the latter boosts stealth.

Ack. Neither. The cloak slot is (sadly) more usefully geared up with the cloak of resistance. It's a 50% surcharge to make that cloak into a pair of boots of skulking and sneaking, right?

If that's correct, I'll have 600 GP left to spend (approximately).

Male Human (Taldan) Abadaran Militant 12

Yahirma, I move closer to what I would like to add to your crafting list. I think this is what I would like to order:

1 Boots of Elvenkind (1187.5 gp)
1 Belt of Strength +2 (1900 gp)

Maddok, can you put on your list for a crafting of a Mithril Agile Breastplate? (4400/3) = 1467 gp.

Other monies to be spent after final distribution is settled. Definitely need to get Extortion to +1. And maybe the new breastplate to +1 as well.

Spellbook costs are tough to calculate. Assuming the previous owner filled his book with spells purely self-taught I estimate it to be worth ~1625. Does that sound about right?

That sounds like a fine value, at least compared to the spellbooks in UM. Go with that :)

Male Human (Azalanti) Hp: 96/110, AC: 30 Bard 8/Fighter 4

How long would it take for Maddok to make a mithril breastplate?

Male thoradorian minotaur ranger (wild hunter) 5 [ HP 63/63 (0 NL) | AC 18 Tch 12 FF 17 | Fort +8 Ref +6 Will +5* | CMD 25* | Init +1 | Perc +8 | Effects: none ]

Mithril Breastplates cost 1/3 as much but take 2 weeks to fit/forge/finish. Maddok is currently making one for himself and Appario.

Does Derek want in on that action?

Also, as everyone has chimed in and I haven't heard any new requests the final loot tally is:

Total Wealth (After Sales) - 35092.6
Party Split - 7018.52

So 7018gp per person.

Also make sure you check the loot sheet. I assigned some items to people that they may not be aware of (Derek has the wand of Cure Serious for example).

That said Maddok needs one more thing commissioned and needs Appario's help shopping.

Yahirma:

A fearsome half-mask that grants the wearer the insight of a skilled wrestler. Grappler's Mask - DC:21

Appario:

A totem with the power to restore the Beast's spirit-stuff. Wand of Rejuvenate Eidolon, Lesser

Male Human (Azalanti) Hp: 96/110, AC: 30 Bard 8/Fighter 4

Yup yup, Derek wants in on that action.

Can I ask how you came up with 5815.6 for the glaive? By my calculations, you should get 4984.8 for it.

Does anyone research the 12-sided box?

Male thoradorian minotaur ranger (wild hunter) 5 [ HP 63/63 (0 NL) | AC 18 Tch 12 FF 17 | Fort +8 Ref +6 Will +5* | CMD 25* | Init +1 | Perc +8 | Effects: none ]

Ah, that was probably my mistake. I was assuming the bonus sell value was additive versus multiplicative.

8308 * (0.5+0.2) vs (8308 * 0.5)*1.2

One basically means we sell for 60%. The other works out to be 70%.

Edit:

Is that what you intended?

The way I thought of it was that the value of the item would be increased by 20% (whether before or after halving).

As you mention, the net effect is that you sell for 60% of the "normal" value.

Male thoradorian minotaur ranger (wild hunter) 5 [ HP 63/63 (0 NL) | AC 18 Tch 12 FF 17 | Fort +8 Ref +6 Will +5* | CMD 25* | Init +1 | Perc +8 | Effects: none ]

Alrighty, I changed the total.

In the interest of not redoing the total math (since I already spent all the gold, heh). Is it alright if Appario sells one of the other 8k longswords with the +20% bonus over the course of the two months?

This leaves the end total the same as I mentioned in the previous summary post.

Absolutely :)

Assuming Livia is treated well during those two months, she will be able to provide 8 additional communions with Asmodeus. If she is to stay with you, she'd have to stay at someone's home; Arael won't be willing to have an Imp living in the safehouse.

Male thoradorian minotaur ranger (wild hunter) 5 [ HP 63/63 (0 NL) | AC 18 Tch 12 FF 17 | Fort +8 Ref +6 Will +5* | CMD 25* | Init +1 | Perc +8 | Effects: none ]

Awesome.

As for the puzzlebox, that sort of thing seems like it would be Yahirma or maybe Semenya's domain.

Also, what did you guys think of the loot spreadsheet? Was it helpful or overly complicated bookkeeping?

Male thoradorian minotaur ranger (wild hunter) 5 [ HP 63/63 (0 NL) | AC 18 Tch 12 FF 17 | Fort +8 Ref +6 Will +5* | CMD 25* | Init +1 | Perc +8 | Effects: none ]

Well that seems obvious.

Derek. He's been making an effort to befriend her above and beyond the rest of us.

Brief (kind of) Plot Recap:

Semenya Carbachon and Derek Keegan, as well as three other likeminded individuals (Del Vane, Arodio Ambusta, and Eklektos Apofysi), are secretly contacted by a woman named Janiven. She attempts to recruit them to a group of fledgling freedom fighters (later named Aroden's Gardeners), whose main objective is to rid the city of Westcrown from the shadowbeasts stalking the city streets at night.
(Janiven's speech)

The meeting with Janiven is interrupted by a group of Hellknight armigers. Led by Janiven, the group flees the meeting place through the sewers. After evading the pursuing Hellknights, they end up at an old Shrine to Aroden that functions as the Gardeners' safehouse.
(page 2, onwards until page 6)

There, it's discovered that the Gardeners' leader, Arael, has been apprehended and is about to be transported to the Hellknight headquarters, Citadel Rivad. Janiven enlists the aid of the prospective members in a rescue attempt to free Arael from the Hellknights. Del respectfully declines, not wanting to be part of a direct attack on the Hellknights. Appario Lind is recruited in his place.
(page 6, onwards until page 9)

Returning to the city after a successful rescue that succeeded in keeping all the Hellknights alive, Semenya and Arodio pick up several rumors at an inn; among them one that claims the dottari are unwilling to go outside the city to deal with bandits ambushing caravans.
(Rumors)

Later the same night, there's a celebratory feast at the old Shrine, where the group is introduced to the other members of Aroden's Gardeners. During the dinner, Appario discovers that the blacksmith Ermolos has been having problems with a group of thugs demanding money for "protection".
(Introductions to the Gardeners)
(Information about several of the Gardeners and the shadowbeasts)

Investigating the thugs, and finding they have become more aggressive during the past month, the group sets an ambush for the thugs. After a successful ambush, in which the thugs are rounded up but their leader (a woman named Jalki) flees, the group splits up. Eklektos follows the woman, first to a warehouse and then to an upscale inn, while the rest of the group interrogate the captured thugs.
(Information about the thugs and other banditry)
(Information from the interrogation)

Information at the warehouse reveals the involvement of someone calling themselves "V", as well as the existence of a group of tiefling "bastards" (later revealed to be calling themselves "The Bastards of Erebus").
(Note at the warehouse)

Armed with this information, Derek confronts Jalki at the inn. After some back-and-forth discussion, the woman provides further information on the tieflings, and asks Derek to "handle the problem" she and her mysterious benefactor has with them.
(Conversation with Jalki)

The group decides to go after these tieflings, and infiltrates their hideout. Beginning by taking out a group of lookouts, the group leaves Arodio behind to watch their backs, while the others uproot an underground complex filled with tieflings, skeletons, and fiendish dogs. Having suffered heavy injuries and expended most of their resources, the group is forced to retreat for the night, discovering that Arodio has deserted them. Returning below the next day, the group finishes the job, defeating the last stand of the tieflings. Following the victory, Eklektos reveals his decision to leave the city and return to his forests. It's revealed that the Bastards have a connection to "the Council".
(page 13, onwards until page 24)
(Letters at the Bastards' headquarters)

The group recruits Maddok, Yahirma, and Granor Goldenbeard as replacements for Arodio and Eklektos, and then begins speculating on the nature of the shadowbeasts, the true loyalties of Jalki and "V", and caravans being ambushed without repercussion. Following these speculations, Derek engineers another meeting with Jalki, in which he receives detailed information about a forthcoming caravan ambush.
(Speculation)
(Second conversation with Jalki)

A plan is formed to ambush the would-be ambushers. Appario and Yahirma leave in haste to intercept the caravan and join it as extra protection, while Derek, Granor, Maddok, and Semenya make their way to the expected ambush location. Appario and Yahirma find a caravan matching the description, and are readily accepted as protectors. There are several merchants, and also a couple of passengers; the vampire hunter Vahnwynne Malkistra and the young noble Lady Chammady Drovenge.
(Introductions to the caravan crew, merchants, and passengers)
(More information on Vahnwynne and Lady Drovenge)

Intercepting the ambushers, the group defeats them and interrogates the survivors. The ambushers are revealed to be connected to the Council of Thieves, and whoever ordered the attack was only interested in securing the Lady Drovenge and some papers regarding the Mayor's mansion. Maddok, Semenya, and Yahirma recruit the vampire hunter Vahnwynne to go with them to round up the ambushers that managed to flee the scene, while Appario, Derek, and Granor go with the caravan to see it (and the Lady Drovenge, who they have befriended) safely to the city.
(page 30, onwards until page 34)
(Interrogation of the ambush-leader)

Once the group returns to the city, Granor has the Lady Drovenge hidden away in preparation for a prospective plan to root out whoever wanted her abducted, while Derek plants the story that the Lady actually has been abducted. Vahnwynne accompanies Maddok to his home, spends the night, and agrees to join him when he meets up with the others. The following day, the group receives news of a ransom being rewarded for the safe return of the young Lady to her grandfather, and with Granor's sudden disappearance, Appario takes it upon himself to abandon the plan and escort the beautiful noblewoman home to receive the reward.
(page 34, onwards until page 36)

In the evening, Janiven brings a friend, the Pathfinder Ailyn Ghontasavos, who explains that she believes there'a connection between the Pathfinder Lodge and the shadowbeasts. She suggests that the group make their way into the lodge. However, the lodge is both trapped and warded, making it essential to find more information before entering. Ailyn suggests that the Mayor's vault would be the best place to find such information. Having discovered that the Mayor will invite the cast members of the murderplay "The Six Trials of Larazod" to his manor, the group decides that joining the play would be the best way to access the vault. Later that evening, Maddok receives a dreadful note from Vahnwynne, who had left before the meeting. In the note, she reveals that she has been lured into a trap, and fears becoming a vampire herself.
(Vahnwynne leaving, and Amaya mentioning the murderplay and Mayor's invitation)
(Ailyn's initial speech)
(More information from Ailyn)
(Vahnwynne's note)

The murderplay, directed by the famed Robahl Nonon, and also starring Delour Aulamaxa and Thesing Umbero Ulvauno, ends up being a massive success, and at the resulting feast the group infiltrates the Mayor's manor and gains access to the vault.
(page 38, onwards until page 46)

The group discovers that the vault is in fact an extraplanar dimension known as a "demiplane", and eventually locate the treasure vault hidden within. On the way they pick up an Imp, Livia, who has previously lived at Delvehaven. They escape the demiplane with Livia and a cache of items.
(page 46,onwards until page 63)

1434 gp Appario's previous wealth going into the Party

Go ahead and add 25 gold to your remaining gold, Maddok; Yahirma will pay for half of the research cost.

Semenya, are you sure it would be just 8000 for the Ring of Wizardry? It's listed as 20,000, which means the 20% discount would bring it to 16,000 at best.
