I will be back with regular posting access late on Sunday. Where I shall be in my own home and with my own cat.
Glad Semenya is finally getting to use Burning Hands!
Those burning hands were pretty critical in that encounter; the only other thing anyone in the group had against swarms were things like acid splash :)
Since I figure you'll be back to posting yourself by the time Semenya's turn comes up:
Semenya has two 2nd-level slots remaining, but no 1st-level slots. The wand of magic missile has 39 charges remaining.

That whole situation made me really want my Shoanti Bolas though...
Why are they exotic? =(
Speaking of those, I've decided to let you have Weapon Familiarity with Shoanti weapons as a trait, if you want.

The Imp frowns as she receives the answer to the fourth question, and gives that answer with something resembling pity in her eyes as she looks at The Beast.
"She's neither alive nor dead."
Bummer.
From here I'm looking at two possible motivations:
A) He accepts that she's dead and is out to release her from undeath. He does some research/gets some help from the more knowledgeable members of the party and preps himself to fight her and give her the peace she deserves.
B) He refuses to believe that she's lost to him. During the inevitable showdown, he tries to make her remember what they had together and encourages her to fight whatever dominion her vampire master has over her.
What do you guys think?
Maddok
I like B better too.
I'd rather not pursue the resurrection option. Tragic loss is much less tragic when people just take a spin through the revolving door of fantasy death.
Yahirma
I can imagine Maddok's goal would depend upon how he views his own transformation abilities. If he learns to accept that the group does not think less of him for transforming into the Beast of War, then I can imagine Maddok might lean towards Option B. If Maddok reinforces his people's view of the Beast as an unclean, dangerous form of possession, then I could see him favoring Option A.

Damn, Yahirma, that's deep.
**mind blown**

Appario and I have been discussing this off-forum. I think he wants to wait to see how Derek feels about resting.
I'd like to use this situation as an opportunity to show the Beast as dangerous and volatile. I.E. the party wants to rest, the Beast doesn't, the party tries to get him to stop and he becomes hostile, Maddok dismisses him, etc.
Edit: Derek just posted.
Edit2: Not helpful!

I'm about to run off, but I just remembered about our means of entering this demiplane. Would resting make it awkward for us to emerge back in the mansion around mid-morning? I am forgetting if there's any weirdness involving the passage of time here.
Maddok
Based on how hard people were partying I wouldn't be surprised if there were lots of people sleeping into the afternoon.
The time difference could be an issue though.
DM Are
The party-crowd would likely sleep into the afternoon, but the servants would begin their daily chores in the morning (perhaps even relishing the idea of getting their tasks done without the master of the house looking over their shoulders at all times).
At the moment, you don't know if time flows differently in this demiplane than on the material plane.
(besides, nobody checked to see if you could get back the way you came in either :P)

Are, once we figure out watches please don't instantly pass the time. I wanted to do some brief RP with Semenya during our watch.
Semenya, no extended bouts of random absence any time soon please!

Not a problem. :) No cons until next month, no hanging deadlines ready to swallow me hole.

Are, I take back what I said before. Feel free to move things along as you see fit. Between Derek and Yahirma I got the RP I needed out of my system.
You guys are awesome.
DM Are
Awesome is definitely the word; great roleplaying, and it gives me some ideas too :)
Which brings me to a question I've been meaning to ask: Would you be interested in the campaign continuing after the written AP is finished? It's a long, long way away still, but I'd have to figure out some options for how to continue and plant seeds to those ends.
(I certainly understand if you think it's too early to determine something like that)
Maddok
I'll let you know in 2-3 years when we're done, LOL.
That said, I don't really like high level gameplay that much but I could see myself making an exception for you guys.

Oh heck yeah, it's early.
But I'm a big fan of your GMing, DM Are, and as long as you're judging, I can see myself trying to stay in your game. No doubt.
Derek Keegan
Heh, Derek is softhearted and trusting enough to ally with a devil if he thinks he can "redeem" her, wasn't sure anybody else would feel the same way.
Of course, the rest might be wise enough not to trust her too fast. Derek takes things at face value most of the time.
Maddok
Maddok doesn't know any better than to trust her and she's only been helpful.
I think as a rule this party favors charisma and dumped wisdom, heh.
Maddok
She continues in a more serious, negotiative tone. "I think you don't trust me. You want me to show you the way, and to translate for your beautiful friend, and then you want me to pay you, too! You negotiate strangely."
LOL, Are I just made this exact arguement to Appario out of the game thread.
Wait, we want to charge her to show us the way to the vault?
Derek:
I posted something about this earlier but the forums ate it. I'll reiterate.
IC
*Maddok doesn't know any better than to trust her and she's only been helpful. Yes, she's a devil but didn't we just act in a play about a group of devil and/or devil-like characters that chose love, honor, and friendship over everything else?
*We're in a magically shifting extra dimensional dungeon with literally no idea where we are going.
*If she wanted to betray and murder us in our sleep she would have tried something already.
OOC
*I'm a sucker for the redeemed villain theme.
*Are seems to get a kick out of RPing Livia. What's fun for him is fun for me.
*Imps are cool.

I know you're cooking up new maps but Maddok seems to be missing.
Also, does he have pounce or something that lets him full attack + move?
Maddok
Ah, you have maps for multiple levels.
I would be far too lazy for such high quality. =P
I'm more or less waiting on Derek. My action depends on what he does.
Maddok
Semenya's missiles wink out of existence just before striking the creature.
Poor Semenya. =(
This AP seems to favor things with strong SR. You might want to consider picking up a good damaging conjuration like Acid Arrow.

...and immune to fire. :(
Acid Arrow is high on the list for next level when I collect a few more spells.
Flaming Acid Arrow is kind of entertaining when I get to level 6. If nothing else, it'll make something easier to -spot- as it burns for three rounds...
DM Are
There's been an overly-healthy amount of enemies with fire immunity/resistance and/or SR in the first two parts of this AP (first the group of Tieflings in Part 1, then the succession of Devils in part 2), but I can delight you with the knowledge that the next two parts have only a handful of enemies with either ability :)
Maddok
I want to take Craft Magic Arms and Armor but for some reason it has a caster level requirement of 5th. =(
Anyone know a way to make up a lost caster level?
Yahirma
Oh, and the crafters among you might enjoy the fact that it's entirely up to the PCs to determine when and how to proceed :)
Yeehaw! I can take orders for things of interest. I suspect there may be interest in cloaks of resistance and the like.
Maddok
Are,
Can we say over the course of a few days we identify the last few unidentified items? Worst-case we could hire someone to cast identify for us.
