Not much to consider selling (other then the above magic items)
We have Defoliant, Fireworks, and a Thunderstone as well as several personal mostly junk items.
There is a silver mirror that is worth 150, but we might want to hold onto that.
Anyone want to claim any of these items?
For purchases, I am thinking we should use party funds to get a wand of CLW. Anyone object?

Bah! I've been working late and I keep forgetting to level up when I go home. I'll get to it soon (I hope, baby any day now).
Nothing special this level, just +1 level for Kip, either a rapier based or stretchy tongue feat, and level 2 spells.

Congratulations!!
Appreciate sleep while you can. (Is this your first?)
| Kip Blacklake |
Yup, first one. We're super excited. My wife's already been losing a bunch of sleep lately, so I'm looking forward to being able to split that duty up a bit (I hope).
Also, you guys are on a roll in the gameplay thread. 38 new messages D:

The first one is a little easier with the sleep issue. Just tell your wife to sleep when the baby sleeps and it won't be quite as bad.
Hopefully she'll get to spend lots of time at home and not have to worry about work any time soon.
Yeah, the town role playing posts have been pretty fast and furious today. Now that Simon has essentially alienated himself from the rest of the town, I'm not sure what part I want him to play there anymore.
It's amazing how characters can take a life of their own sometimes.

Congrats, Kip! We have a 19-month-old girl right now, and we are expecting our second girl this July. :)
I try to move quickly through the personal RP scenes so those not involved don't have to sit around waiting for too long. By tonight or tomorrow morning, I'd like to wrap them up and move on to the next part of the adventure, unless there are any other scenes you'd like to play out.

Sounds good to me. I do want to attempt a couple of additional purchases.
Since there have been no objections to any of my above posts, I'll assume everyone is okay with selling the current items and purchasing a wand of clw.
Victrix, would obtaining a wand of enlarge person be useful to your combat style? You're not an outsider (like tieflings) are you?
| Kip Blacklake |
Awesome. I'm cool with wrapping things up at whatever pace. I've obviously been a little distracted lately, so please don't let me hold anything up, and I enjoy catching up reading about your various escapades.
As for loot, I'm ok with that. A wand of cure light will go far for extending our combat readiness and might free up a few spell slots for other things for me.
Simon Hollybaker

From sale of Loot, everyone gains 211 gp.
That puts the party fund at 858.62.
@GM Do we have the ability to purchase a Wand of CLW?
| Kip Blacklake |
Oh man, I almost have enough saved up for a mithral skillet.
Simon Hollybaker
|
Yes, Father Eamon can craft wands for you.
Excellent! Then consider the wand commissioned and the party fund is now 108.62
Kip, do you want the wand or would you rather I hold onto it?
| Emalliandra |
Yeah. the wand is a good buy.
Simon Hollybaker

@GM Will you allow us to learn Aboleth at the next level up? Seems a bit obscure to actually be written down somewhere... (especially on an island in the middle of the ocean with no library)
| Emalliandra |
Pretty sure aboleth isn't a separate language, thought they spoke aklo.
Actually I stand corrected, it is. I should have taken that instead of all I (thought aklo was the language they spoke).
| Emalliandra |
Alright, change it I did.

Did the resupply ship with the things we ordered from the mainland ever arrive?
| Kip Blacklake |
Hey guys, sorry about being absent lately. My first baby was born two nights ago, so things have been a bit hectic. Mom and baby are doing great and we just got home from the hospital. My posting might be a bit sporadic for a while, so please feel free to bot me to keep games going.

Dual wielding isn't something Victrix is any good at.
It was a joke, but you hopefully realized that. :)
I did forget momentarily that Kip is Small and wouldn't be able to use the spear even if he wanted to...
| Emalliandra |
Oh he could, just at penalties.

Unless we run into a creature with magic DR

Up to this point, I had been assuming the the Aboleth's involvement in Azlant was "common knowledge". Is that not correct?
| DM Brainiac |
In the days of the Azlanti Empire, the knowledge was not common at all. If the recording gem is to be believed, the Azlanti people only discovered the existence of aboleths only a short time before Earthfall. Perhaps more information will be forthcoming...
In modern times, aboleths are still not "common knowledge." It's a DC 17 Knowledge (dungeoneering) check just to know basic information about them. Everybody knows about Earthfall, but it would probably be at least a DC 15 Knowledge (history) check to know about the aboleths' connection to it.
Simon Hollybaker
|
Thanks. I'll try to adjust Simon's previous understandings.
Simon Hollybaker
|
So...
I may or may not have ever heard of Aboleths, but would have little knowledge of their impact on the world.
I know quite a bit about the Skum, but probably not that they were created by the Aboleths or were their slaves.
I'll try to do a better job about limiting what I bring into the game from outside.
| Emalliandra |
That is a beautiful spread of spells. Will I need to follow the usual rules of using a spell book written by another with all of the spellcraft checks and such or copy them over to avoid the hassle or will that particular rule be ignored.
Also, so I don't clutter gameplay with just a single die roll in a post...
Dungeoneering on aboleths: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20
| Emalliandra |
Lol, whoops, missed that edit. It was probably done while I was typing my post up. I'll edit mine accordingly.
