Unfortunately, Kip's damage potential at level 1 is pretty low, and his priorities are in life preservation. Damage will pick up as we level though.

Anyone know of a way for a shaman to pick up spontaneous cures? Maybe a feat or something?


You can take the healing hex. Not quite the same thing, but it works in a pinch.


When you level up, spontaneous casters have immediate access to new spell slots. Prepared casters can spend 10 minutes to fill their empty slots. Your wounds have not healed, though, and any existing spells/abilities used remain unavailable until you rest.

Your choice of rolling or taking half HD + 1. Once you choose, you can't change if you roll low. :)

Statblock has been updated. Of note for the GM, I use Intelligence for Perception and Disable (and a couple of others), so my Perception bump is fairly impressive.

I wasn't even aware the bow or ring were magical.

Can we establish an SOP where Detect Magic is cast on all loot?

We should probably think about default marching order too. Not sure if you guys want me to scout ahead or not. That's not really my focus, but I could do so, if needed.

I usually assume somebody is casting detect magic when you find loot and will indicate if things are magical. May have overlooked those two items, and if so, I apologize.


By the way, the quick-runner's shirt is now attuned to Victrix so she can use its ability.


Victrix, I meant the zombie could only stand up on its turn since it is staggered. You'll still only get one attack this round before it goes again.

He doesn't currently have the 10gp for writing inks for a first level spell, so I guess studying the spellbook can wait.

(Wait, did we find and coins as loot so far? I haven't been tracking that. Perhaps we should designate someone to track and handle dustributions of loot? I'll volunteer.)

My summon monster ability is basically the same as a summoners. I have to spend a reservoir point per level of the summon to call forth a creature for 1 min per level. So yeah, a minute per level but it costs me a lot of reservoir pts as we level.

Yeah, the change to arcanist consume spells really hit occultists hard since they use so many points.

It's not really as bad as it might seem since if I consume a spell of the same level as the summon I use I get those points right back but yeah, I already see at higher levels how it will hurt. I can always increase the number of consume uses by upping my Charisma though, which will be happening somehow.

Yeah. It really makes you CHA dependent though, and makes it very painful to cobble together a summon via eating 2 lower level spells. Before the change that wasn't a big deal since you weren't limited on consumes/day.
